Biography

Forced to leave his homeland early in his life, Philip found himself in Ascendancy, just like many of his fellow refugees. Commonly found prejudice against Khazians aside, he enjoyed advantages provided by the fact Ascendancy was one of the more meritocratic nations. Those who were wary or skeptic of him had little interest in voicing their opinion aloud, as long as he proved himself to be just as capable of working as any other person.

He sometimes wondered if one day he could return to Khazia. Maybe, maybe. But that day wasn't any time soon.

Philip's decision to serve in Pathfinder Corps is caused by two things primarily: Benefits of service, and opportunities provided by it.

Risks associated with serving in Pathfinder Corps are high, but so are the benefits of service. Good pay that he can accumulate for retirement, good status, which will allow him to put foot in the door, retirement benefits. Life after service will be a comfortable one, where he won't need to work nearly as hard as he used to.

Though he won't lie, idea of exploring the unknown frontiers played a small factor in his decision as well.
