You gain true vampirism
You gain the following benefits at all times. You must actively and obviously be using Red Ruby and my armor to gain the benefits of this Effect.
You are permanently and visibly transformed: True vampire. You are considered to be a Sapient, Non-Living being when targeted. Your Brawn is increased by 1, your Perception is increased by 1, and your Charisma is increased by 1.
You are immune to damage from cold. If cold is a substantial component of other damage you would take (e.g. falling from a great distance into a vat of liquid nitrogen), that damage is reduced by 2 (in addition to Armor)
You no longer age naturally, and supernatural attempts to age you fail.
Your Injuries no longer degrade with time.
Possession of this Power grants the following Battle Scar: You gain sharp inhuman Canines and small pointed Elf like ears.
Whenever you enter Combat, roll Mind, Difficulty 7. If you fail, you cannot choose which targets to attack.
Possession of this Power grants the following Trauma at all times: You must consume blood to live every four days if not you will lose body and die.
The Severity of any Injury caused by Holy water blessed weapons is increased by 2.
Classic exorcist style, Obedience stretches, bends, and dislocates Grace's limbs so that all of the force behind the movements they make is otherworldly, where things like gravity and time matter much less.
Names are powerful things. When the girls learned Obedience’s name, it was like a lock clicking open… alongside the traumatic memories came potential energy, an embrace of the unnatural and a further understanding of what it means to be a ghost. Obedience can tap into the plane she exists on to move there instead of the physical world, bringing Grace's body as her host along for the ride.
You gain the following benefits at all times.
You may move easily and without a roll in any of the following situations.
Barry focuses on a mirror, and the surface changes to reveal his target. The target will see Barry appear in a shimmering image in front of them, and be able to converse with him, as well as project images and video through the reflection.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a target any distance away from you. You must have a specific target in mind, but you require only an intuitive understanding of them, such as their name, face, or Location. You must actively and obviously use a Mirrored Surface to activate this Effect.
You open up a line of communication to your target, and may converse with them as long as one of you maintains Concentration
The conversation will only be perceived by the intended recipient. You must share a common language for your target to understand the message.
Using her innate talent for energy and heat, channeled through specialty designed braces that almost work as explosive spigots, her sheer resolve and hardiness are the only think keeping her legs from blowing to pieces each time she accelerates to her top speed using this ability, as energy explodes from the back of her calf and the balls of her feet.
Spend an Action. Select a Location which is at most 75 feet away horizontally or 15 feet away vertically. You must actively and obviously use IV23 boost bracers to activate this Effect.
You jump to the chosen location. If the landing is precarious, the GM may call for a roll to land safely. You will never take fall damage from successfully landing a jump made with this Effect.
You may opt to trade your free movement for a Super Leap if you are jumping less than 50 feet or if you are closing a gap to an opponent and spend your Action on an attack.
You may activate this Effect while in free-fall, as long as your target Location is a surface on which you can land. You are immune to fall damage.
Dorris teaches his enemy what pain is
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a target within 300 feet. Roll Charisma + Performance Difficulty 6. The target may contest by rolling to Dodge or Defend as a Reaction, Difficulty 6.
If the Contested Outcome is positive, the target takes that much Damage plus 8.
Rick looks sternly towards the incoming attack.
Shifts his jaw forward slightly, standing up straight and tilting his head just the slightest bit to full project the full aura of manliness.
The air ripples around him like vapor, and his mustache catches the ambient light, rustling majestically like a serene wheat field at dawn.
The rage and desire to do harm, just drops away- their attacks pull back, almost like last-second mercy-
but they're really just impressed.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action to activate. Roll Brawn + Influence at Difficulty 6.
If you succeed, you create a Barrier around yourself, which absorbs the next Outcome Damage. The Damage reduction from the Barrier is applied before Armor, and is treated like Armor by any effects such as Armor Penetration. You may only have 1 active barrier at a time.
You must maintain Concentration while using this Effect. The Barrier will fall if you are interrupted, or if it absorbs the full amount of damage. When a Barrier falls, you cannot use this Effect again for a minimum of 2 Rounds. As long as it does not fall, the barrier regenerates back to full strength at the end of each Round of combat.
The detective can learn a lot by watching someone for a minute. Each subtle detail, every unexplained stain, reveals something about where the target has been. Ocassionally, they'll drop a business card, or explain how to contact them. The detective is listening.
Exert your Mind and spend a minute. Select a Sapient target within 20 feet. This Effect cannot be used unless the target does not know you're watching them. You cannot investigate the same target more than once per hour. At the end of your investigation, roll Charisma + Investigation at Difficulty 6.
You learn a single specific piece of information, chosen from the following list, about your target:
The quality and specificity of information gained depends on your Outcome.
This Effect is not obvious, and the only sign you are using an Effect is that you keep peeking at the target. If someone suspects that an Effect was used, they must roll Perception + Alertness, Difficulty 8 to pick up on your Tell.
The spy can twist the urban environment to their whims, erecting fences, walls, and barriers as needed. They whistle and gesture to where the wall should be, and the surrounding materials fly into place.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a Location within 50 feet. You must be in an area abundant with man-made structures and materials.
Select one of the following alterations to create out of standard building materials originating at the target:
The alteration begins to form when you activate this Effect and finishes forming on your initiative in the next Round. Until it finishes forming, it is not guaranteed to function.
This alteration lasts one minute but may be prematurely destroyed or altered. Your alterations may be broken through with appropriate tools. Anyone attempting to break through must roll Brawn + a relevant Ability. A cumulative Outcome of 6 across all attempts breaks a hole large enough to move through. See the extended system text for GM guidance on various tools.
The spy is able to transform an ordinary ballpoint pen into a monitoring device that is inconspicuous enough to blend in to most settings, but advanced enough to allow 360 degree surveillance as well as audio capture, which is sent to their smartphone.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a target within 10 feet. You must actively and obviously use a ballpoint pen to activate this Effect.
You place a ward, which is fixed to a target Object that can be moved and repositioned. You can hear and see through the ward as though you were standing at its location. You may have at most 1 wards active at once.
The ward requires Concentration to monitor, though it will remain active until you deactivate it. The ward can be discovered if someone knows what they are looking for, but is otherwise inconspicuous and cannot be identified as a ward.
Who wouldn't want one of the mad scientist's famous implants? All it takes is a little time and a few terrifying experiments, and you too could be a better you!
Warning: not fully tested on humans. Risk of dry mouth, upset stomach, or lost limbs. Do not consult your doctor before signing the liability release.
Exert your Mind and spend eight hours. Select a Living or Animate target within arm's reach. Roll a single D10 as a critical failure check. If you roll a 1, the Effect fails, and you cause a major Battle Scar instead of an augmentation. Your target must make a Trauma roll when you activate this Effect. The target can easily Resist.
You may add one augmentation to your target. Each augmentation counts as a Battle Scar and can have exactly one of the following Effects:
The augmentations you provide are not outwardly visible nor obvious.
The magician dons their wizard hat, raises their arms, wiggles their fingers, and a rain of sparks fly woosh around an object. It shudders to life and follows the magicians commands, including to do things it was not designed to do.
Exert your Mind and an Action. Select a Inanimate target within arm's reach which could fit inside a briefcase (15 liters). You must actively and obviously use a pointed hat with stars and moons to activate this Effect.
Your target will become Animated indefinitely. You may choose to end the effect at will, as a Free Action. You can maintain a max of 4 targets animated at once.
Animated Objects have the following restrictions and capabilities:
