He can make this flame about as large as a flame of a lighter, and seems quite willing to use it for lighting anything around him, though he keeps his arm extended away from his head while doing so.

Before he figured out how to extinguish the flame after summoning it, he had accidently gone to rub his eye while it was still lit, burning his eye and lighting the beard he used to have on fire.

The pyro points a laser pointer towards a target, and a cat-sized-and-shaped fire springs into life, very clearly attracted to the laser. This flame cat can also be shaped from existing fires. While the pointer is active it remains in the shape of a cat, pouncing towards the little red dot. When the laser pointer is not active, the flames return to normal.
