The user crumbles a diamond in their hand, and then a thin layer of something clear appears on their skin, and then the layer will thicken, which then crumbles and disappears afterwards.
Exert your Mind (unless you win a coin flip) and spend a Quick Action to activate. You must use up Diamonds in order to activate this Effect.
You transform into Diamond-Coated Form for 3 minutes. You have access to all of your Powers while you are Diamond-Coated Form, and you can use your equipment. Your Battle Scars, Injuries, and physical Liabilities are carried over between forms. While transformed, your Attributes are the same.
You do not suffer any Penalty while in your Alternate Form.
While transformed, instead of your normal clothes and equipment, you are equipped with: Diamond Form
After this Effect ends, you cannot move quicker than a walk (15 feet per Round) for one minute and suffer a -1 dice penalty for an hour.
You cannot speak any coherent verbal language while transformed and must resort to other means of communication.
Hawthorne Sticks their palm out toward the plant life in the area as sinewy organic string propel onto it. This connects Hawthorne to the ground's nervous systems and networks of plants and fungi. She analyzes how the plants have reacted and what particular effects they have gone through to ascertain information on the environment.
Exert your Mind and spend a minute to activate. Investigate an area with a radius of up to 100 feet This Effect cannot be used unless The area being investigated must contain plant life. At the end of your investigation, roll Intellect + Science at Difficulty 6.
You learn the following information about the area:
you take on a nightmarish form while mostly humanoid long claws extend from your hands and your skin tightens around your now 7'0 frame and your mouth twists into a giant freakish smiling maw.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action to activate.
You transform into The Bogeyman for two hours or until you choose to end the Effect. You cannot transform into a flying creature. See the Extended System text for stats.
While transformed, you cannot use any equipment (including Artifacts and Consumables), and you cannot use your Active, Direct, or Trap Powers. However, you can use your Passive Powers. Any equipment you are wearing transforms with you.
Injuries and Wound Level are carried over between forms. However, transforming can never kill you; you merely remain Incapacitated until your Injuries are sufficiently healed.
While transformed, you are obviously unusual, unnatural, or alien, and the average person will take a special interest in you.
JPM has developed innately a healing factor: both due to his bravado and due to the intense desire by him to never, ever, have to pay ridiculous hospital fees, ever again.
You gain the following benefits at all times.
Any Injury you receive heals quickly, reducing its Severity by one level every day. Any Injuries you receive while this Effect is active automatically count as a successful Proper Stabilization and do not deteriorate further. Any Battle Scars caused by such an Injury will heal with the Injury.
You may Exert your Mind and spend an Action to reduce the Severity of one of your Injuries by 1. Does not affect Injuries suffered as an activation cost for Effects.
Once an Injury has been reduced in Severity by two levels, it no longer benefits from this effect and instead heals as normal.
The werebear unleashes their inner beast, transforming into an imposing hybrid of human and bear. Their head reforms into that of a bear, robbing them of speech but bestowing a maw of deadly fangs. Brown fur sprouts from their body as it swells with muscle, ripping any tight-fitting clothes. While transformed, the werebear is impulsive and driven more by instinct than logic.
If The Werebear is struck my moonlight, they are compelled to transform.
Exert your Mind and spend a Quick Action.
You transform into a Werebear for 3 minutes. You have access to all of your Powers while you are a Werebear, and you can use your equipment. Your Battle Scars, Injuries, and physical Liabilities are carried over between forms. Reverting from your Alternate Form cannot cause your existing Injuries to kill you. Instead, you remain Incapacitated.
While transformed, your Brawn is increased by 1 and your Dexterity is increased by 1. You do not suffer any Stress while transformed.
Your alternate form is its own deadly weapon. Unarmed attacks made in your alternate form deal +3 Weapon Damage (instead of the typical -1).
Your alternate form renders you unable to speak any human language and incapable of fine object manipulation. You can only hold or grasp objects in a crude, clumsy way.
Whenever you enter Combat, roll Self-Control. If you fail, you cannot choose which targets to attack and cannot stop fighting until there are no targets remaining.
While transformed, you automatically fail any Mind roll to resist an impulse and suffer -3 dice on all other Mind rolls.
Possession of this Power grants the following Trauma at all times: Whenever you are struck by the light of a full or gibbous moon, you must roll Self-Control to resist transforming. Triggers a max of once per night.
With a growl, meep, gibber, or similar; Edgar makes it clear what happens to those who get in his way.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a number of Living targets equal to your Charisma within 45 feet. This Effect cannot be used unless Alternate Form is activated. Roll Charisma + Performance at Difficulty 6. Affected targets can resist by rolling Mind at Difficulty 6 -3 dice.
If you succeed, for the next hour, affected targets will do things they otherwise wouldn’t have done, inspired by Fear - Horror. They will outwardly display their emotions in an obvious and visible way.
Actions they take may be extreme and out of character for them. They will be unlikely to change their mind about any actions taken or decisions made until after the Effect ends.
When your target interacts with any valid target, they must roll Self-Control or be swept up in the same emotion. New targets pass it on as well, and so on, with the remaining duration decreasing by half until the chain stops.
If the target fails or botches their defensive roll, they gain a Trauma, which must be related to the chosen emotion in some way.
Anyone who witnesses you during this Effect's activation will almost certainly be disturbed to see a suitably terrifying display of his monstrous nature.
Unimportant characters just can't seem to hit our hero with their attacks. Injuries that are sustained from underlings are conveniently non-severe.
You gain the following benefits as long as the attacker isn't important enough to have a name.
You have 4 Armor, which reduces incoming Damage. Armor from multiple sources does not stack. This Armor cannot be circumvented with Called Shots.
The Thief casts a container's worth of fine powder into the air. The particulates are drawn to any sort of object that is designed to detect people, including tripwires, security cameras, detection lasers, heat sensors, etc. The powder will not trigger these devices or interfere with their operation, but it does reveal their presence to the Thief.
The cloud drifts and swirls, subtly following the Thief for a minute.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. You must use up a container of fine powder in order to activate this Effect.
You automatically detect all object that are designed to detect people, including tripwires, security cameras, detection lasers, heat sensors, etc within 50 feet of you for the next hour. You have a clear sense of both the distance and direction towards any detected items. When you detect objects, instead of learning nothing about them, you may observe each object with all of your senses.
The detective can learn a lot by watching someone for a minute. Each subtle detail, every unexplained stain, reveals something about where the target has been. Ocassionally, they'll drop a business card, or explain how to contact them. The detective is listening.
Exert your Mind and spend a minute. Select a Sapient target within 20 feet. This Effect cannot be used unless the target does not know you're watching them. You cannot investigate the same target more than once per hour. At the end of your investigation, roll Charisma + Investigation at Difficulty 6.

The quality and specificity of information gained depends on your Outcome.
This Effect is not obvious, and the only sign you are using an Effect is that you keep peeking at the target. If someone suspects that an Effect was used, they must roll Perception + Alertness, Difficulty 8 to pick up on your Tell.
The priest channels their true faith into a brutal assault on the consciousness of demonic or unholy creatures. By wielding their favored holy symbol, a gilded crucifix, they can put a proper fear of god into them, leaving them cowering at any truly holy things they encounter.
Exert your Mind (unless you have been recently attacked by your target) and spend an Action. Select a Sapient target within 20 feet. This Effect cannot be used unless the target is undead, demonic, or another evil creature. You must actively and obviously use a gilded cross to activate this Effect. Roll Charisma + Occult at Difficulty 6. Affected targets may resist by rolling Mind at Difficulty 8 with a -3 dice penalty. If they are incapacitated or unconscious, they fail automatically and their Outcome is 0.
If the Contested Outcome is positive, the target takes Mind damage equal to the Contested Outcome. If you deal at least 3 Mind damage, the target will gain a phobia of holy things as a Trauma. This Trauma may be removed by Effects or mundane therapy, as normal. Affected targets are aware that they are being attacked and can generally tell who did it.
The mobster knows a guy they can call for a hired goon, who arrives about a minute later. The goons are dumb as bricks, but tough nonetheless, perfect for sending a message when you need to keep your hands clean.
Exert your Mind and spend one minute. You must actively and obviously use a cell phone to activate this Effect.
Summon a single goon at your location. They will last until they are destroyed. They are controlled by the GM but will follow any commands you give. You may have at most 1 minion active at a time.
You may only use this Effect once per day.
