Description

Keith Nightly grabs an instrument and pours his soul into a rockin' jam session, letting out a sonic blast so powerful it disorients his target and can rupture organs. The only way to avoid this is to roll out of the way of the blastwave in time.

System

Spend an Action, Exert your Mind, choose a target within 45 feet, and roll Dexterity + Performance Difficulty 6. The target may defend by rolling to dodge or Defend (as for an attack with a thrown weapon) as a Reaction.

Damage dealt equals the difference between your attack roll's Outcome and the defensive roll's (if one was made), plus 3.The target's Armor is Fully Effective.

Enhancements

  • Painful (The target suffers a -3 dice penalty for the next hour or until the Injury is healed. This dice penalty does not stack multiple times on the same target.)

Drawbacks

  • Focus (Using this Effect requires a specific kind of item.)
