Brief Respite, Interrupted

Much time has passed since last entry. I will retell them briefly in chronological order.

Me and Waldemar looked for some odd jobs, looking for source of income. Finding some group of smugglers, they hired us both - Waldemar to be the muscle, and me to, well, just make the crowd look bigger. They had some deal with the group we later came to know as Silver Wing Clinic, and this meeting was interrupted by mafia. Smugglers ran away, but before we knew it, the fight was over. Waldemar practically liquified skull of one of the goons, and he convinced me to heal him. He is correct - even if he tried to kill us, we should be better than him and uphold ourselves to certain standards. He certainly has brain trauma beyond my skills, but I did my best to heal him anyways.

What we didn't expect out of this meeting was to encounter Wei and Queipo. Wei was with SWC, just like Queipo was, but Queipo along the way went off on his own to look for source of income as well, and encountered mafia, who gave him money to swing his sword, and he didn't asked extra questions. Wei offered me and Waldemar to join the SWC, and we accepted - we did want to help, after all, and my skillset best utilized in clinic.

What I didn't expect was to see Harlow Larventi himself in charge of the clinic. "The Blade of the North", who quietly disappeared after Samiiko war. Now - just another infected with agripathy, another person who did great service to his country, and tossed aside like a broken toy.

We spent most of our days simply helping around the clinic - my psyarts were useful, to say the least. At some point Wei asked me to join him in looking for other infected. I don't recall his exact reasoning, but in the end, we did found them. Despite the fact that first impressions could be better, I did my best to help them, though two of my patients needed immediate hospitalization if we wanted them to live.

Unfortunately, fate is cruel, and as we were extracting them, someone attacked us, causing our van to crash. Everyone, except me, Wei and Quiepo died, and we were out for days. I still have concussion, yet now that I am awake, I can start working on my injuries. But, as I said earlier, fate was cruel, and we soon learned that things were about to get worse.

Ask yourself, answer yourself.
