Description

Patrick has begun to sense magic and others around him. He can tell how heavily trafficed area of forest is which is helpful as in his fathers diary he discovered a secret his father ledt him a pot of gold. Know he will know what has come near his stash. He has to fet lucky though he flips a coin and calls head or tails.

System

Exert your Mind, and spend 1 Minute studying the area around a Location within 100 feet. At the end of the cast time, roll Wits + Investigation Difficulty 6. The quality of the information you receive depends on your outcome, and the nature of the information depends on the Enhancements you have chosen.

The number of information-revealing Enhancements attached to this power is limited to 2 for Novice characters, 4 for Seasoned characters, and 7 for Veteran characters. You may still take any number of other, non-informational enhancements.

Enhancements

  • Concealed (Using this Effect is not obvious. Choose a Tell that occurs only when you use the Effect; if-- and only if-- someone suspects that a Effect was used, they must roll Perception + Alertness, Difficulty 8 to pick up on your Tell.)

    • Tell - Patrick flips a coin

  • Cantrip (Activating this Effect has no Exertion cost, but its Gift Cost can never be increased above 2.)
  • Ley Lines (You can locate the source of any Alien energy or the presence of any Alien effects on the area. Specific information about the function of these effects beyond their general type is not forthcoming.)
  • Traffic (You learn how heavily trafficked the area is, what sorts of Animate beings have moved through the area and when.)

Drawbacks

  • Focus (Using this Effect requires a specific kind of item.)
  • Unique Focus (This Power takes the form of a specific, unique item, which can be borrowed, lost, or stolen. You must use / wear this item as intended to use this Power.)
    • Focus - His belt buckle
  • Conditional (This Effect is only available when a certain condition is met. This condition must be severe enough that this Gift is unusable the majority of the time.)
    • Condition - Must guess head or tails correctly
