Circumstances

Circumstances describe your situation.

Examples include enemies, wealth, notoriety, social status, contacts, fame, and imprisonment.

Because each Playgroup has its own setting, Circumstances record the Playgroup they were acquired in.

Average Finances
From Assets and Liabilities
You can live stably off your money. You have access to $2,500 (or equivalent currency) per Contract.

Conditions

Conditions describe your state of being.

Examples of Conditions include curses, diseases, and impactful personality quirks.

Conditions are granted by Assets and Liabilities or by GMs based on the events of Contracts and Downtime activities like Moves, and Loose Ends.

Because Conditions may have GM-created systems, they also record the Playgroup they were acquired in.

From Assets and Liabilities
Nightmares: Immortality stolen Your sleep is plagued with horrible nightmares. At the start of each Contract and each time you fall asleep, make a Self-Control roll. If you fail, you take one Mind damage.
Cat-Eyes Your eyes catch the light in the dark like a cat or dog's, granting low-light vision. You suffer no penalty to rolls in low-light situations. You cannot see in pitch blackness.
Fairy Rules You must abide by the major social conventions of the fae. You cannot lie and must keep any promises you make.

Loose Ends

Loose Ends will cause problems for you if you don't tie them up.

Examples of Loose Ends include enemies, debts, evidence, and promises.

All Loose Ends have a Cutoff that counts down each time you attend a Contract. When it hits zero, the Threat of your Loose End manifests, causing issues for your Contractor.

You cannot see the current values of your Loose Ends' Cutoffs, but you can take initiative and make Moves on your Downtimes to deal with them before time runs out.

Biography

Thought is one of the Eternal Concepts of the universe. He is the keeper of knowledge and the galactic historian. He was created when the first sentient creature took its first steps upon the Earth. Since then, he has watched and recorded all of history in the Tome of Knowledge. For eons he sat outside our world watching and writing. A group of oculists was able to retrieve his tome, rendering him powerless. Now Thought is confined to our world in a mortal form. He must search for the thieves if he is to regain his power and immortality. Thought has taken the name Dr. Ethan Roderick and travels London in search of his tome. Since he has no identity, he takes what odd jobs he can to survive.
