The revolvers, named Jacob and Esau, after the twin sons of Issac.
They appear as large six chamber, single action revolvers. Both are gray steel with hard maple grips, polished from oils in the Reverend's hands from years of use. Jacob has the inscription: "Be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might" along the left side of the barrel, down to the receiver. It's brother, Esau, has the inscription: "Blessed be the Lord my strength which teacheth my hands to war" along the right side.
Passive. Always in effect. During a Downtime, you may recover your Revolvers - Jacob & Esau if it was lost or taken, or regenerate it if it was destroyed or damaged beyond repair. You may do this a maximum of Never times. Your chosen item must be an Object.
The Reverend's two hand cannons rest easily in his palms. His cold blue eyes glint with excitement at the anticipation of rapturous bloodshed.
Passive, always in effect. Attacks with firearms will do +1 more damage. The target's Armor is Fully Effective.
Bullets tear into the Reverend Paine and his body flares with an unearthly light. The damage seems lessened than you would have imagined from such a brutal onslaught. Depending on the actions taken recently by the Reverend, the color of the light may shift from a bright golden/white glow to an infernal red/black coruscate.
You have 3 Armor, which reduces incoming Damage. Armor from multiple sources does not stack. Passive, always in effect.
Trophies are special objects and equipment.
Examples of Trophies include healing potions, scrolls, sci-fi technology, or any supernatural item that was not created with The Contract's Gift system.
Because Trophies may have GM-created systems, they also record the Playgroup they were acquired in.
-Believes he is dead and in Hell. With each act of God’s Righteous Fury against the evil and damned, he thinks he can buy his way into Purgatory. And then, maybe Heaven. When forced to visit the juncture worlds, he still thinks of himself as already dead, but God is putting him back on earth to perform certain tasks in His name.
-His prayers and actions are hollow and meaningless. He doesn’t quite believe his own gospel as he is still a Gunslinger at heart. Cold, ruthless and pragmatic. He thinks this is why he is still in Hell. He thinks with enough slaughter of the inhuman and wicked, his words will carry the weight of God.
-The ghosts of his past haunt him. Before he was Reverend Zebadiah Paine, he was a Gun-For-Hire named Sol Garrett. Unable to complete a contract for a powerful, mysterious entity he never met, he now finds himself trapped in the Netherworld. Even in Hell, you can’t run from your past.
