All Loose Ends have a Cutoff that counts down each time you attend a Contract. When it hits zero, the Threat of your Loose End manifests, causing issues for your Contractor.
You cannot see the current values of your Loose Ends' Cutoffs, but you can take initiative and make Moves on your Downtimes to deal with them before time runs out.

Niles grew up rich in Darien, Connecticut his parents constantly coddling him and telling him he was right even if they were wrong. When Niles was growing up his father would always tell him how their family was better than others and that their family's ancestors had worked hard for what they have. His father would also say that people with less money then them didn't work hard enough, its there fault they dont have money and dont disserve to get handouts because they dont understand the economy. Niles father also reminded him constantly that its there family's job to remind people of their place because they are at the top. Hearing this advise as a child Niles begin following it reminding others around him in his private school that they were less then him, that they didn't work as hard as his family, and that he had more then them and that they would never reach where him and his family are. It became more then just insults constantly making fun of people and reminding them they were less them him and that they could do nothing while doing thing Niles started making friends with others that would insult people with him and those friend began looking up to him and he loved that feeling.
Niles once he got out of private school lived a life of leisure for multiple years until his father told him that he needed to work at there company. Niles was given the job of being a branch manager at there family's bank even though he had no prier job experience. Once Niles started working at they company he wasn't working at all just spending most hours in his office the one plus of this job for Niles was the company credit card he was given. Niles loved this company card he used it for everything in his day to day life as well as going on 3 different vacations within 2 months. After 8 months passed with him using the company card when he tried to use it but it declined Niles was infuriated and immediately went to the person in control of giving out and taking company cards. when he got there he began cussing them out and screaming at them that its his right to have it before firing them and not listening to a thing they say. When Niles got home his father was waiting for him and when he saw him come though the door he began screaming at him that he had put this family in debt, that he was not his son, not a part of this family, he's cut off, not welcome in there home and that there going to disown him.
Niles was kicked out and had no place to got to so he just walked got food and went to a hotel to sleep but living like that didn't last long after around 4 months he was fully on the street and had no money. Niles had no idea what to do he just kept walking and asking for money any time he could. When Niles ever got money he would spend it mostly on alcohol because most of the time he ate he began throwing up. Niles has lived like this for the past 6 year settling around the city of Norwalk walking around the streets drinking. Niles blames the company and his father for everything it was all there fault and Niles wants everything back and more he wants them to lose everything like he did.
