Shizuko disappears as the air warps and ripples for a moment. She travels 3 seconds forward in time. This seems instant for her, but everyone else must wait the full 9 seconds before she reappears.
==Spend an Action and Exert your Mind to phase yourself out for [[willful-end-up-to]] 3 minutes. You cannot perceive the outside world or take any Actions during this time, but nothing can interact with you in any way.=====
Shizuko makes a bubble with an invisible wall that slows time within the wall. Any projectiles that enter are greatly slowed down.
Exert your Mind, choose an Animate target within Arm's Reach, and roll Intellect + Alertness6. If you succeed, the next Outcome + 2 Damage to that target is absorbed by the barrier. The Damage reduction from the Barrier applies before Armor, and is treated like Armor by any effects such as Armor Penetration. Difficulty
You must maintain concentration while using this Power. That means you can only move at a slow walk, and cannot split your Action between using the Power and other Actions. The Barrier will fall if you are interrupted or if it absorbs the full amount of damage. When a Barrier falls, you cannot use this power again for a minimum of 6 - Intellect rounds.
Shizuko drastically increases the flow of time on the wound, causing it heal much faster.
Exert your Mind and spend 1 Minute treating a specific Injury on a Living target. Roll Intellect + Alertness10 - 2. Each Success reduces the Injury's Severity by one. If you can reduce its Severity to zero, the wound is fully healed. Otherwise, it is partially healed and fully, Properly Stabilized. It will heal the rest of the way at its natural rate. Difficulty
You cannot target yourself, and you cannot target the same Injury more than once.
Shizuko figured she should probably bring her guide dog. https://www.thecontractrpg.com/characters/view/c/820/
To create your companion, use a similar procedure to creating a new Character. Instead of 150 Experience, you may spend no more than 64. You may not take Assets or Liabilities. Companion creatures have one Limit. You may spend any experience you earn on your companion's stats, if desired.
Regardless of your chosen Attributes and Abilities, the Actions available to any creature depend on the creature itself. For example, an elephant will not be able to make much use of the Stealth Ability.
Companion creatures cannot use tools or human technology.
Companions are capable of general communication skills and know one language. Your companion is controlled by you, though if you are separated, the GM may take some liberties to preserve drama and suspense.
Any roll to locate your companion (or vice-versa) is rolled at -2 Difficulty.
Shizuko can finally turn back time, kind of. She turns the scar back to before the injury was taken.
Exert your Mind, spend Ten minutes treating a Living target, and roll Intellect + Alertness8. If you succeed, the treated Battle Scar will heal over the course of the next week. If you fail, you cannot attempt to treat that particular Battle Scar for a month. Difficulty
Shizuko can slow down the sound waves as they enter her ear and pick apart every little detail.
Passive. You will always have access to your sense of Hearing, unless it is suppressed by a supernatural effect.
This protects against losing a sense through injury, suppression, darkness, or sensory overload. It does not protect against physical barriers such as blindfolds, earmuffs, etc.
Shizuko is able to speed up and slow down time in small amounts as she fights, allowing her more defensive and offensive capability.
Passive, always in effect. Unarmed attacks will do +1 more damage, and Brawn does not act as Armor against them. The target's other Armor is Reduced to 1/2, rounded up.
Unlike the Ability Brawl, this Power does not affect small weapons such as knives.
Shizuko dilates time in your body and causes you to age rapidly.
Exert your Mind, choose a Living target within Arm's Reach, and roll Intellect + Alertness6 as a Committed Action, which the target can contest by rolling to dodge or Defend (as for an attack with a thrown weapon) as a Reaction. If you succeed, the target is aged by Outcome in years. Difficulty
If target is human and aged beyond 40 they must roll Brawn difficulty (age/10 rounded down). If they fail, they lose Attribute point from either Perception, Brawn, or Dexterity (chosen randomly). Botches subtract additional Attributes. In the event that they are aged more than 10 years, they must make one such roll for each decade. Reducing any Attribute to 0 causes death (A Perception of 0 causes an indefinite coma).
Trophies are special objects and equipment.
Examples of Trophies include healing potions, scrolls, sci-fi technology, or any supernatural item that was not created with The Contract's Gift system.
Because Trophies may have GM-created systems, they also record the Playgroup they were acquired in.
