The user pulls out a key and uses a hand motion against the surface of the container with said key, and as he does so, the target is opened up, locked or closed at his discretion with massive cracks and lines entering and piercing through the walls of said object.
Exert your Mind and spend two Actions performing the following ritual: The user does several motions on the door using the artefact, saying "Open the noor, open the noor!" as the door is opened or "Close it up!" when closed or "Lock it up!" when locked. Select a Non-Alien door, container, knot, or lock within arm's reach. You must maintain Concentration while activating this Effect, and it fails if you are interrupted.
You may lock, unlock, and/or open your target.
When used the metallic beaver injects the user with the yellow liquid, the veins and arteries from the arm onward pulsate and glow yellow. He transforms into a large humanoid monster, this form posseses physical traits from other animals. Along with the physical differences he acts as if he is an entirely different person, someone more spontaneous and courageous.
The Mutagen-006 Injector is a failed prototype that was meant to, overtime, alter the wearers genome, making them stronger and more resilient to disease. It was engineered and modelled after a vivid dream Issac had during a near death experience on a mountain trip.
Exert your Mind (unless you win a coin flip) and spend a Quick Action.
You transform into ________ for 3 minutes. You have access to all of your Powers while you are ________, and you can use your equipment. Your Battle Scars, Injuries, and physical Liabilities are carried over between forms. Reverting from your Alternate Form cannot cause your existing Injuries to kill you. Instead, you remain Incapacitated.
While transformed, your Brawn is increased by 1, your Dexterity is increased by 1, and your Perception is increased by 1.
You do not suffer any Penalty while in your Alternate Form.
You may end this Effect prematurely as a Free Action.
Anyone who witnesses you during this Effect's activation or for its duration will almost certainly be disturbed to see a normal man’s body bubble and snap into a large monsterous beast made of twisted muscle.
Possession of this Artifact causes the following Battle Scar to manifest over the course of a day: the burns and arteries turn a bright yellow, this extends up his arm and right chest from the artifact. If you lose possession of this Artifact, the Battle Scar heals over the course of the next month.
While transformed, you automatically fail any Mind roll to resist an impulse and suffer -3 dice on all other Mind rolls.
You cannot speak any coherent verbal language while transformed and must resort to other means of communication.
The artifact, a ring of metal, shimmers slightly, spreading a mist that hides the user slowly disappear into nothing as its user rubs the inscription along the artifact. A bit of Elvish from J.R.R. Token, but saying something different.
"Keep me secret, keep me safe"
Vel made this artifact with a ritual pulling on the long history of legends of artifacts of invisibility.
The ring of Gyges is the first, and the one Vel picked the name for
The second is the helm of hades, the source of the mist that powers the effect.
The last, and the most well known, the one ring, and tempered by the other two stories
Vel starts by casting the metal for the base of the artifact, typically a ring. As Vel does so they tell extracts of the story of the ring of Gyges
Vel then lets the ring cool, surrounding it in steam as they talk about the stories of the helm of hades.
Vel finally carves in elvish the words into the ring. The patterns are common enough that the ring looks recognizable as something akin to the one ring, drawing power from people's conception of that. The specifics of the wording serve as another specific bit of meaning, anchoring the power of the ring in the point of time when the ring was harmless, and connecting it to the other 2 stories of less malevolent effects.
Notes:
[So my thought process for this is that the most well known ring of invisibility and symbol of invisibility is the ring from Lord of the Rings.
When trying to impart an effect, Vel doesn’t want to make a ring that destroys lives and minds. So, the other stories, and the words in elvish are a way of anchoring the power Vel gets from the big story, pulling the other stories of similar tools, and using them to divert the effects the one ring is supposed to have.
I could probably switch to just the Greek stories to make it a little cleaner, but I think if you are making a ring of invisibility using the cultural understanding of rings of invisibility, you need to address the one ring, or it will slip in.]
Exert your Mind and spend an Action.
You and everything you are carrying is obscured in one of the following manners. Lasts one minute.
While this Effect is active, any Effect that would obscure you or your equipment specifically from other, additional senses fails automatically.
If someone discovers you, this Effect will not help you hide from them for the next minute. Activating a targeted or obvious Effect, attacking, or being Injured ends the Effect. When the Effect ends, it is disabled for one minute.
The weapon builds a highly-focused charge of electromagnetic radiation, causing the bulb to flash brightly an instant before release. The crackling ray of energy is effective against both living and machine targets, frying synapses and circuits alike.
One blast from a cathode gun is enough to reduce even the most brilliant mind to a state of catatonic vegetation in seconds. This brain-killing weapon is an example of the City Mind's cruel and efficient designs, meant to leave behind gibbering, drooling survivors to be collected by the enemy. These survivors would continue to consume resources, lower morale, and force other personnel to care for them - the City Mind knew its enemy was a compassionate one. The cathode gun is especially effective against creatures with advanced minds, such as spell-casters. Ironically, it is just as effective against machine brains.
Expend a point of Battery and spend an Action. Select a Sapient or Creature target within 20 feet. Roll Intellect + Technology Difficulty 6. Affected targets may resist by rolling Mind at Difficulty 7. If they are incapacitated or unconscious, they fail automatically.
If the Contested Outcome is positive, the target loses that much Source. Once their Source is depleted, excess Outcome is applied as Mind Damage. If you deal at least 3 Mind damage, the target gains a Trauma of the GM's choice.
This Trauma may be removed by Effects or mundane therapy, as normal. Affected targets are aware that they are being attacked and can generally tell who did it.
This discreet patch attaches to your side, just above the kidney, with eight shallow needles. It carefully monitors and manages your levels of cortisol (among other hormones and enzymes), keeping your body and mind relaxed in times of crisis.
While the patch is in use, your movements are visibly sluggish and floaty, and your wounds ooze a clear, syrupy liquid. A blinking light on the patch indicates the amount of stress it's working to mitigate; green for a penalty of 1 or 2, orange for 3 or 4, and red for 5+.

Your Stress from Injuries and Mind Damage is reduced to 0.

This device is a piece of chrome the size and shape of the back of a spoon. When placed against the skin, small hypodermic needles sprout from the device and attach it to the user's bloodstream. There, it filters and releases lifesaving drugs into the bloodstream, granting complete immunity from contracting new diseases and added resiliency in all other cases.
WARNING: The immunizing drugs have been shown to reduce inhibitions in test subjects.
