Charlatans

Nowadays you can't go a day without some phony prophet trying to peddle their wares to you.
Driven by the increased interest in the supernatural, charlatans from palm readers to televangelists are everywhere. And while the vast majority of witches, psychics, magicians, hypnotists, cures, potions, faith healers, and clairvoyants are complete fakes, they do make a living.
As the saying goes, "it's easier for an actor to make it in alternative medicine than Hollywood."
Most people scoff at these clearly-phony supernatural services, yet those same people often buy into at least one scam.
The most dangerous charlatans are the self-styled monster hunters who carry a mall-ninja arsenal and guns with silver bullets. Most have never encountered anything supernatural and do absolutely nothing besides burn some sage and patrol the area for a night or two. Even so, those who are superstitious, fearful, or desperate enough will hire them to solve the problems they simply don't understand. In some cases with disastrous results.
For Contractors, charlatans are red herrings and obstacles. Clumsy fakes that conjure a smokescreen of misinformation and escalate the situations they're in.

The sand that Fuoshu Be steps on seems to part at his steps more than others'. At his will, he can dive into it in any way and swim through it. Of course, he cannot see or breathe in it, and it also must be a big enough body of sand-- enough to call it a 'sea,' usually, but it's a start.
You gain the following benefits at all times.
You may move easily and without a roll in any of the following situations.
- Land Swimmer: You are able to swim through sand, mud, snow, and other semi-solid materials as long as they are made of loose pieces or are not particularly dense. While doing so, you move at your normal movement speed.
You only gain the benefits of this effect if you are in sandy areas.
Fireman's Carry

Liam hoists the wounded person on his shoulders in a classic Fireman's Carry - a combination of adrenaline, duty, & guilt propel him past any obstacles at startling speed. This movement appears to be improbable luck to the casual observer, with pratfalls, fortuitous stumbling, & similar. If seen from the side of the eye or under certain conditions (as determined by the GM), the truth is revealed: the ghosts that haunt the medic are helping to rescue the patient.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action.
You may move easily and without a roll in any of the following situations. Lasts 2 hours.
- Pathfinder: You are adept at making your way through crowds, underbrush, and other dense, congested environments. While doing so, you move at full speed.
- You are able to carry someone else at your full movement speed.
As long as this Effect is active and you are traversing a terrain it covers, your movement speed is doubled.
Freedom of Movement

Emily's genemods have continued to express in interesting ways. Her claws strengthen, and her pawpads can, at desire, become somewhat like suction pads. Along with this, her reflexes have improved further, and she's able to just move forward.
You gain the following benefits at all times. You must actively and obviously be using Gen-Wyld Auto-Injector Armband to gain the benefits of this Effect.
You may move easily and without a roll in any of the following situations.
- Pathfinder: You are adept at making your way through crowds, underbrush, and other dense, congested environments. While doing so, you move at full speed.
- Spider Climber: You are able to climb on and cling to any surface without regard for the ordinary rules of gravity. You climb at half your normal movespeed.
Magnetic Suspension
Blue energy locks the bike to the surface, allowing it to move around unnaturally

You may move easily and without a roll in any of the following situations. Lasts 2 hours.
- Pathfinder: You are adept at making your way through crowds, underbrush, and other dense, congested environments. While doing so, you move at full speed.
- Spider Climber: You are able to climb on and cling to any surface without regard for the ordinary rules of gravity. You climb at your normal movespeed.
- Surface Skimmer: You are able to move across the top of any bodies of water, ice, or other surfaces where others might sink with no penalty to your movement speed.
As long as this Effect is active and you are traversing a terrain it covers, your movement speed is doubled.
- This Effect not provide any inherent protection from dangerous surfaces such as acid, lava, etc, so be careful!

- You are able to climb trees and cliffs at your full movement speed.
You only gain the benefits of this effect if you are in an area without a human building within 300 feet.
