The seasoned necromancer's darkest art spits in the face of the natural order. Given sufficient preparation, they may temporarily revive any dead individual.
Take a Severity-1 Injury and spend one minute to activate. Select a Dead target within arm's reach that has died within the last hour.
Your target rises as a Living being. They remember their past life and retain their same personality. They can communicate as they would have been able to in life. They may roll Mind, Difficulty 8, to resist any commands you give them.
The creature lasts for the next day or until it dies again. It is revived at full health. Any Injuries it had in life are not accounted for when determining its penalties or progression towards re-death, though they may affect its ability to perform certain actions at GM's discretion.
Raised creatures have their Abilities set to the same that they were in life. Their Attributes are all the same as they were in life. A raised creature cannot use any Effects.
You may only use this Effect once per day.
Patients that smell the food starts feeling their mind being cleared and their heart relaxing. It smells different to everyone, it smells the most relaxing, it can be tea, to a childhood food, to even soft candle if that's what you like. Upon eating it, the taste is a bit bland but also oddly tasty and it will cause you to reminisce about your most heart warming memory as well as your trauma, sometimes causing you to cry. You reminisce on your goal, on your motivation, and your past, why you are where you are, and it helps push your forward, leaving the trauma behind as a past memory with your new found resolve
Edit: This one is fine, though could use more investment - Suppress & Stabilize would turn this from a B-list self heal to an A-List field Power
Exert your Mind to activate. Select a Living target within arm's reach. Over the course of one day, your patient must communicate with you and reveal at least one of their Traumas to you, including the details of those Traumas and the circumstances of how they were acquired. After the full treatment time has elapsed, roll Charisma + Crafts at Difficulty 6.
Your target may Resist. If your treatment is successful, you may remove one of the patient's revealed Traumas without incurring any Experience cost.
Your patient is required to must eat atleast 3 meals a day, homecooked, no frozen or premade, for the next month. for the next month. If they violate this rule, your treatment is immediately reversed.
No matter which part of the tool is used for what, when Momo applies it to the intended object, small pieces slide into place on their own, dents become undone, welds weld back together, fuel and power gauges go up, etc. If one pays close attention, there's a distortion in the air around the target, similar to what heat can create.
Momo tries to disguise this gift by using the right tool on the right thing, or even using an appropriate additional tool, but anyone paying attention knows something isn't quite right.
Exert your Mind and spend 1 Action. Select a Object within arm's reach that is no larger than an SUV. You may target Alien technology, so long as you have an understanding of its intended function. You must actively and obviously use a multi-tool to activate this Effect. More than half the target object must be present in order to begin repairs. Roll Intellect + Crafts at Difficulty 6.
If you succeed, your target is repaired back to a functional state. If you fail, you spend the full time working before realizing you cannot repair the target. If your target only requires fuel or power and is otherwise in working order, this Effect costs no Exertion, and the target is fueled/powered for the next 24 hours.
Sally takes the one spell of two she knows, breaks it down, builds it up, learns it forwards until she can perform it backwards. And at the end of all of this, she presses it’s limits. Animation into restriction into capture. She takes the current, existing primary or secondary spell, and twists it, reinforcing the item and stretching it to its limits until it covers the target’s being.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a target within arm's reach. You must actively and obviously use an animated object to activate this Effect. Roll Intellect + Athletics at Difficulty 6. The target may contest by Defending or Dodging.
If you succeed, your target will be restricted at their location by a physical, tangible binding. They cannot move to a new location, and any physical actions they take suffer a dice penalty equal to twice the Contested Outcome (except attempts to escape or break the binding, which only suffer half this penalty).
The binding around a target must be destroyed in order for them to break free. Breaking the binding requires a total amount of damage equal to twice the contested Outcome from the Effect activation. Damage from multiple attacks is cumulative and stacks linearly.
A pinch of sand thrown upon the ground. Once imbued into the leylines it attracts other sand within the material it's on to bend to the casters will.
Exert your Mind (unless you are Sculpting) and spend an Action. Select a Location within 50 feet. This Effect cannot be used unless Inspected if the area contains sand. You must use up A pouch of freshly ground sand in order to activate this Effect.
Select one of the following alterations to create out of Sand (Silica) originating at the target:
The alteration begins to form when you activate this Effect and finishes forming on your initiative in the next Round. Until it finishes forming, it is not guaranteed to function.
This alteration lasts three hours but may be prematurely destroyed or altered. Your alterations may be broken through with appropriate tools. Anyone attempting to break through must roll Brawn + a relevant Ability. A cumulative Outcome of 6 across all attempts breaks a hole large enough to move through. See the extended system text for GM guidance on various tools.
You may sculpt your walls, domes, or tunnels as you create them, without any additional activation time or cost.
Anyone who tries to climb or move across your alterations takes 2 Damage each time they do so. Such alterations are obviously dangerous.
The Glimmerwake Sentience manifests as a fragment of the Crystal Light—an autonomous sliver of its unknowable intellect, sheathed in shifting color and sharp geometry. It drifts silently through the air like a thought given form: translucent, angular, and slightly wrong to the eye. When Jessica exerts her will, the shard splinters away from the Nexus, unfolding into a dazzling lattice that scans its surroundings with alien precision. Invisible vibrations echo through the quantum weave of the environment, pulling forth residual impressions—memories etched in the very fabric of space. It does not see as we do. It remembers.
Exert your Mind and spend a minute. Investigate an area with a radius of up to 1 mile At the end of your investigation, roll Intellect + Science at Difficulty 6.
You learn the following information about the area:
Anyone who witnesses you during this Effect's activation will almost certainly be disturbed to see While safe to see from a distance, anyone within 30 feet of Jessica upon activation will vividly hallucinate with fragments of swirling colors and a glimpse of understanding of the Crystal Light - not enough to be useful, only to be deeply incomplete and unsettling (triggers the ''Monsters'' limit).
You cannot investigate the same area more than once per day.
The Necromancer spits into the mouth of a recently deceased corpse. For the few minutes, the corpse's head comes back to life and speaks to the Necromancer.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a Dead target within 50 feet. Dead targets must have died within the past week, and you must have their remains in your possession.
The target can communicate in your language for the next hour.
The Future Soldier learned to create foam grenades in their own time period, and they still can, kinda. They look like glowing orange capsules with a rugged rubberized grip. When thrown, they burst into a splash of expanding neon orange foam. The foam hardens in seconds, severely hampering the movement of anyone unlucky enough to have been splashed. Those affected may use their hands or weapons to hack away at the foam and free themselves.
Occasionally, the fuses on these bootleg grenades fails, and they go off immediately.
Spend an Action and use up this small metallic grenade with pin (unless you succeed on 1d10, Difficulty 7). Make a thrown Attack at a Location within normal Attack range. Roll a single D10 as a critical failure check. If you roll a 1, the Effect fails, and you are hit as it activates immediately at your present location. The target may roll to dodge or Defend, as normal for thrown Attacks. The Attack itself does not deal any Damage beyond the Effect.
If you succeed, all affected targets will be restricted at their location by a physical, tangible binding. They can still move their arms and use Effects, but are reduced to ¼ of their movement speed.
The binding around a target must be destroyed in order for them to break free. Breaking the binding requires a total amount of Damage equal to twice the original Contested Outcome. Damage from multiple attacks is cumulative and stacks linearly.
The Toon performs some sort of cartoonish act of violence. This may be handing someone a bomb, hitting someone with a cartoon mallet, burping a burp that is so noxious it melts flesh, or anything else as long as it is cartoonish.
The attack is more of a throwaway gag than a plot element, so any props or properties of the attack are incidental and disappear immediately. Animated mallets evaporate in a puff of smoke, fire does not spread, and electricity cannot power devices.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a target within 45 feet. Roll Charisma + Performance Difficulty 6. The target may contest by rolling to Dodge or Defend as a Reaction, Difficulty 6.
If the contested Outcome is positive, the target takes that much Damage plus 4. Armor is fully effective against this damage.
Through their faith, the priest is able to stretch bread or fish to extreme lengths, feeding a seemingly endless number of people from meager supplies.
Spend an Action. Select a Animate target within arm's reach. You must actively and obviously use bread or a fish to activate this Effect.
For the next 24 hours, your target does not require any food, water, or sleep. Any attempts to age your target fail. Any roll to resist an Effect dependent on any affected requirement is made at -1 Difficulty.
This Gift cannot have more than 3 Drawbacks, and its Gift Cost is capped at 2.
The Vampire is able to turn one of their victims into a lesser vampire, a pale shadow of a full creature of the night but useful nonetheless. Having drained and killed their target, the Vampire performs a brief ritualistic bloodletting, wherein they spill their own blood into the target's mouth, forcing them to drink, and bonding them together as child and sire.
Shortly afterwards, the fledgling vampire will rise from death, hungry for blood and eager to serve.
Increase your sacrificial Injury's Severity by 1 and spend one minute. Select a Dead target within arm's reach that has died within the last hour. This Effect cannot be used unless you drained the target's blood while they were still alive.
Your target rises as an Animate being. The raised creature is totally mindless, with no memory of its past life or hint of its old personality. They cannot communicate. They will follow any command you speak.
The creature lasts until it dies again. It is revived at full health. Any Injuries it had in life are not accounted for when determining its penalties or progression towards re-death, though they may affect its ability to perform certain actions at GM's discretion. The raised creature must consume flesh every day or it will die again.
Raised creatures have their Abilities set to the same that they were in life. Their Charisma and Intellect are set to 1, but their Dexterity, Brawn and Perception are the same as they had in life. A raised creature cannot use any Effects.
Your revived targets deal 2 Weapon Damage with their unarmed attacks.
If you do not have a sacrificial Injury when you activate this Effect, take a new Severity-1 Injury.
