Scaling Cards
Scaling cards is the art of throwing normal playing cards with such skill and precision that they slice vegetables or stick into walls. This one has learned to throw cards which are metal with auch finesse they are not dissimilar to shirikens.
Note that while all playing cards benefit from this gift, Bullet Parry requires the card to be reinforced in some way such as being made of metal.
You gain the following benefits as long as you are engaged in combat with Playing Cards.
+2 dice to all rolls utilizing Playing Cards.
You also gain the following effects:
- Bullet Parry: You may Defend against any attack in range of your attacks. Defending this way still costs a Reaction.
- Catcher In The Rye: You may catch anything flying or thrown as a Free Action with no roll, as long as it is not an attack.

Charlatans

Nowadays you can't go a day without some phony prophet trying to peddle their wares to you.
Driven by the increased interest in the supernatural, charlatans from palm readers to televangelists are everywhere. And while the vast majority of witches, psychics, magicians, hypnotists, cures, potions, faith healers, and clairvoyants are complete fakes, they do make a living.
As the saying goes, "it's easier for an actor to make it in alternative medicine than Hollywood."
Most people scoff at these clearly-phony supernatural services, yet those same people often buy into at least one scam.
The most dangerous charlatans are the self-styled monster hunters who carry a mall-ninja arsenal and guns with silver bullets. Most have never encountered anything supernatural and do absolutely nothing besides burn some sage and patrol the area for a night or two. Even so, those who are superstitious, fearful, or desperate enough will hire them to solve the problems they simply don't understand. In some cases with disastrous results.
For Contractors, charlatans are red herrings and obstacles. Clumsy fakes that conjure a smokescreen of misinformation and escalate the situations they're in.

Athlete of Apollo
Through his godly ancestory, and through his skill in throwing which he has honed and trained with years of practice, Sonny has mastered the ability to throw javelins.
You gain the following benefits as long as you are engaged in combat with Javelins.
+2 dice to all rolls utilizing Javelins.
You also gain the following effects:
- Bullet Parry: You may use a Reaction to Defend against any Melee, thrown, or projectile Attack in range of your Attacks.
- Track And Field: If you move at least 25 feet in one direction before making a thrown attack, your throwing roll is made with +4 dice instead of the standard +2.
Throwing Stargaze
Looks can't kill, so use shuriken instead.
She flicks a shuriken out from her sleeve and throws it at her target in one smooth movement. After staying at the impact site for a moment, the shuriken blinks blue and vanishes as it returns to her hand.
A minor enchantment on the throwing stars blink them back into her sleeve pocket once their job is complete, ready for re-use. The most basic demonstration of her supernatural abilities.
You gain the following benefits as long as you are engaged in combat with shuriken.
+2 dice to all rolls utilizing shuriken.
You also gain the following effects:
- Boomerang: On your Initiative, in the Round following a thrown attack, the objects you threw will return back to you. You may catch them automatically, without making a roll or spending an Action.
- Bullet Parry: You may use a Reaction to Defend against any Melee, thrown, or projectile Attack in range of your Attacks.
Primal Force

Being in tune with the power of the earth, Amaranth can lend this favor to objects to ease the Earth's hold over them. Allowing them to fly fast and true, even if they'd normally never be able to fly easily at all.
You gain the following benefits as long as you are engaged in combat with thrown weapons.
+2 dice to all rolls utilizing thrown weapons.
You also gain the following effects:
- Jackie Chan: You do not receive a Difficulty penalty when throwing objects that are not designed for throwing.
- Nobody Tosses A Dwarf: Anything you can lift, you can throw 50 feet. Weapon damage for a heavy improvised thrown weapon is equal to the Brawn required to lift it minus 2 (minimum 0).
- Yeet!: You can throw things up to 100 extra feet per point of Brawn with no penalty. Anything thrown further than 100 feet will not land at its target until the next Round on your initiative.
Rock Chuck

You gain the following benefits as long as you are engaged in combat with thrown weapons.
+2 dice to all rolls utilizing thrown weapons.
You also gain the following effects:
- Jackie Chan: You do not receive a Difficulty penalty when throwing objects that are not designed for throwing.
YEET!
Your body tenses as you use all the muscles in your upper body to throw your axe as hard as you can.
You gain the following benefits as long as you are wearing this Artifact and you are engaged in combat with Axes.
+2 dice to all rolls utilizing Axes.
You also gain the following effects:
- Bullet Parry: You may Defend against any attack in range of your attacks. Defending this way still costs a Reaction.
- Jackie Chan: You do not receive a Difficulty penalty when throwing objects that are not designed for throwing.
- Junk Wolf: Thrown attacks with improvised thrown weapons always deal a minimum of 3 Weapon Damage.
- Yeet!: You can throw things up to 100 extra feet per point of Brawn with no penalty. Anything thrown further than 100 feet will not land at its target until the next Round on your initiative.

You also gain the following effects:
- Point Control: Called Shots that you attempt only require a Contested Outcome of 2 for small targets and 4 for tiny targets.
- Ricochet: You can make a thrown attack against a target behind cover so long as there is at least one exposed pathway to them.
