Your Perception rating is increased by 3. You may Exert your Mind to automatically gain an Outcome of 5 on any roll that uses Perception (Cannot be used on combat rolls or Power activations).
Possession of this Power grants the following Trauma at all times: Phobia of Needles.
You also gain the following effects:
- Clear-Sighted: If you see an illusion, disguise, or other false reality, you recognize it as such but cannot immediately see through it.
- Gut Feeling: You may roll Perception + Alertness Difficulty 7 to detect when someone is watching you remotely, even through supernatural means. Requires Outcome 4 or higher.
- Can't Unsee: Any Trauma rolls you make are rolled at +2 Difficulty.
- Attribute bonuses from multiple sources do not stack. Instead the highest bonus is used.

Charlatans

Nowadays you can't go a day without some phony prophet trying to peddle their wares to you.
Driven by the increased interest in the supernatural, charlatans from palm readers to televangelists are everywhere. And while the vast majority of witches, psychics, magicians, hypnotists, cures, potions, faith healers, and clairvoyants are complete fakes, they do make a living.
As the saying goes, "it's easier for an actor to make it in alternative medicine than Hollywood."
Most people scoff at these clearly-phony supernatural services, yet those same people often buy into at least one scam.
The most dangerous charlatans are the self-styled monster hunters who carry a mall-ninja arsenal and guns with silver bullets. Most have never encountered anything supernatural and do absolutely nothing besides burn some sage and patrol the area for a night or two. Even so, those who are superstitious, fearful, or desperate enough will hire them to solve the problems they simply don't understand. In some cases with disastrous results.
For Contractors, charlatans are red herrings and obstacles. Clumsy fakes that conjure a smokescreen of misinformation and escalate the situations they're in.

- Saw it Coming: Any time you attempt to dodge an Attack from someone lower than your position in Initiative, you may Exert your Mind to automatically succeed without a roll. You may use Source to make a Desperate Defense. There is still a maximum of one Desperate Defense per Round.
- You can still be ambushed if you are incapacitated, stunned, or being kept unconscious supernaturally.
- Attribute bonuses from multiple sources do not stack. Instead the highest bonus is used.

The Goblin King was born with an additional supernatural layer to their perception, allowing them to see the true nature of things, as well as enhancing their natural perception of the world around them.
You gain the following benefits at all times.
Your Perception rating is increased by 1. You may Exert your Mind to automatically gain an Outcome of 5 on any roll that uses Perception (Cannot be used on combat rolls or Power activations).
You also gain the following effects:
- Clear-Sighted: If you see an illusion, disguise, or other false reality, you recognize it as such but cannot immediately see through it.
- Slow Time: You may substitute your Perception as the Attribute for any rolls made for Reactions.
- Weak Points: You may use Perception in place of Dexterity on attack rolls.

Eyes of a rattler, and instinct to match!
The user's pupils swap from normal, human circles to vertical, serpentine slits each time they blink. The effect is only noticeable upon close inspection, and is exclusively cosmetic.

- Constant Vigilance: You cannot be ambushed or caught-flat footed when awake. When asleep, you can make a Perception + Alertness roll at Difficulty 6 to wake up in time.
- Weak Points: You may use Perception in place of Dexterity on attack rolls.
- You can still be ambushed if you are incapacitated, stunned, or being kept unconscious supernaturally.
- Attribute bonuses from multiple sources do not stack. Instead the highest bonus is used.
Eyes of a Friend Long Lost
My friend used to be my eyes before he perished. Now, he'll always be with me in my eyes.
With a mask covering his face, it is almost impossible to tell that his eyes have been replaced by a creature whose origins are shrouded in mystery and his presence instills fear by those who know of the danger: Goose, the duck. Of course, this is all just exaggeration, but the perception of Icarus' long lost animal companion hold true to their rumors, granting supernatural marksmanship and weakpoint targeting to the half-orc.
But trauma never goes away without lasting effects, or visions of what you have lost. In times of terror and grotesque physique, the eyes of Goose see under the surface, laying the path to much worse than meets the mortal eye, leaving the woefully unprepared more vulnerable. In simple terms, Icarus has become more open to the eldritch horrors that scrape the minds of their sanity.
