Autumn's face is perfectly relaxed, serine even as she twirls her weapon of choice - a bone needle in her thin, spidery yet elegant fingers, exuding perfect control over the object she's manipulating, all the while her eyes stay pointedly affixed on her target across the room.
Suddenly and without warning, In one snappy motion she sends the needle flying with deadly precision, the projectile is light yet the result is devastating - the five-inch thick metal plate on the opposite side of the room cracks clean in half and the two newly formed individual pieces shoot to the sides, loudly clattering to the floor.
"Guns are clunky, unpredictable, loud, cumbersome.
Knives are messy, dangerous, cruel and frankly... a tad too personal for my taste...
Now you see - what separates a true professional from an amateur is lethal, cold and calculated precision - any dimwit is capable of take a life, mutilate another living being until what's left is little more than an unrecognizable pile of meat.

If you succeed, you create a barrier around yourself, which absorbs the next Outcome + 2 Damage. Any Damage absorbed by the barrier is reflected back to the attacker, up to a maximum of the Barrier Strength Parameter’s bonus. Their Armor applies in full. The Damage reduction from the barrier is applied before Armor. You may only have 1 active barrier at a time.
You must maintain Concentration while using this Effect. The barrier will fall if you are interrupted, or if it absorbs the full amount of Damage. When a barrier falls, you cannot use this Effect again for a minimum of 2 Rounds.
This Effect is not obvious, and the only sign you are using an Effect is when your eyes begin to glow. If someone suspects that an Effect was used, they must roll Perception + Alertness, Difficulty 8 to pick up on your Tell.
After this Effect ends, you cannot move quicker than a walk (15 feet per Round) for one minute and suffer a -1 dice penalty for an hour.
