I eat a potato increasing my strength to the power and toughness of a potato granting me strength
You gain the following benefits at all times.
Your Brawn rating is increased by 1. You may Exert your Mind to automatically gain an Outcome of 5 on any roll that uses Brawn (cannot be used on combat rolls or Effect activations).
You gain the following benefits as long as you are engaged in combat with Khopesh swords.
+2 dice to all rolls with Khopesh swords. You may Defend against firearm attacks from any range using Khopesh swords.
You also gain the following effects:
A
This Effect activates whenever Her alternate form is triggered. It does not require an Action or Exertion. Select a single Sapient target or a Location within 20 feet. If you select a Location, all Sapient targets within 20 feet within 20 feet of it, besides yourself, are affected. Your target should be intuitively based on the triggering event. Roll Brawn + Alertness Difficulty 6. Affected targets may resist by rolling Mind at Difficulty 7. If they are incapacitated or unconscious, they fail automatically.
If the Contested Outcome is positive, your target will take 2 points of Mind Damage and gains two new Traumas of your choice. The Trauma should be general and not specifically mention you. You should not have to be involved to trigger the Trauma.
these Traumas cannot be removed by spending Experience and undergoing mundane therapy. Affected targets are aware that they are being attacked and can generally tell who did it.
Anyone who witnesses you during this Effect's activation will almost certainly be disturbed to see yadayada.
Mothman can use straight twigs and string to create a simple 'doll' left in the woods. (A la the triangle wood things in blair witch)
Creepy on its own, Mothman closes his hands around it. The air around the sculpture vibrates with a tense pressure and fevered pitch, before releasing.
Chain of screaming, reduces by half for each additional target inflicted, when they 'interact' with another valid target, and i imagine hearing affected yell at them to warn their allies etc count as interacting.
1 target: 1 hour
2 targets: 30 minutes
3 targets: 15 minutes
4 targets: 7.5 minutes
5 targets: 3 minutes
6 targets: 1.5 minutes (30 rounds)
7 targets (15 rounds)
8 targets (7 rounds)
9 (3 rounds)
10 (one round)
Exert your Mind and spend an Action to trap a region of any shape that contains your current location and fits entirely within 45 feet. This trap lasts until triggered or disarmed. Roll a single D10 as a critical failure check. If you roll a 1, the Effect fails, and you It effects him and anyone around as he sets the trap. You must use up a collection of straight sticks and rope in order to activate this Effect. Roll Charisma + Influence at Difficulty 6.
The trap looks like A bundle of sticks, tied into a shape like a stick figure. Only those who have seen this trap before can identify it as a trap. Anyone who is aware of the trap may intuitively avoid, trigger, or destroy it.
Any Living target that enters the chosen region will trigger the trap. Affected targets can resist by rolling Mind at Difficulty 6.
If you succeed, for the next hour, affected targets will do things they otherwise wouldn’t have done, inspired by Fear and Paranoia. They will not necessarily display their emotions in an obvious way.
Actions they take will be in keeping with their character and the way they tend to deal with strong emotions. They will be unlikely to change their mind about any actions taken or decisions made until after the Effect ends.
When your target interacts with any valid target, they must roll Self-Control or be swept up in the same emotion. New targets pass it on as well, and so on, with the remaining duration decreasing by half until the chain stops.
Your form is immutable, and hard to damage.
You gain the following benefits as long as you cannot improve your Intellect, you cannot improve your Dexterity rating through training, and any scars or wounds you do receive have a 10% (1 on a 1d10) of being unable to heal.
You have 8 Armor, which reduces incoming Damage. Armor from multiple sources does not stack. This Armor cannot be circumvented with Called Shots.
You may spend an Action or Reaction and Exert your Mind to double your Armor rating for one Round.
Armor penetration does not affect your Armor, and it cannot be shredded or destroyed.
Your Armor’s rating is increased by 2. If you Attack, Clash, or initiate a Contested roll, your Armor’s rating is decreased by 3 for one minute. This penalty does not stack with itself.
Blessed by the storm-wielding god Indra, your body becomes a conduit for divine thunder, making your unarmed strikes as swift and relentless as a raging tempest. Each attack carries the force of a thousand storms, amplifying your speed, power, and precision to supernatural levels. Your movements crackle with static energy, and every punch, kick, or parry resonates like rolling thunder, disrupting the very air around you.
While engaged in unarmed combat, your strikes break through defenses like a lightning bolt piercing the heavens. The storm itself seems to favor you—guiding your hands, amplifying your reflexes, and making you an unstoppable force. No blade, bullet, or brute strength can overwhelm you, for you are the tempest given form.
You gain the following benefits as long as you are engaged in unarmed combat.
+2 dice to rolls for Attacking, Defending, and Clashing without a weapon. Unarmed attacks do +2 Weapon Damage (instead of -1).
You may Defend against melee, projectile, or firearm Attacks from any range and Clash with those in range of your Attacks. Attacking materials like steel or spikes will not Damage you unless it has an Effect that does so.
All it takes is a flick of your hair and a bat of your eyelashes, and you’ve got their attention.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. A number of Sapient, Living targets within 50 feet who can perceive you through no greater than your Charisma rating are affected. Audiences or mobs with a singular focus count as one target. Roll Charisma + Performance at Difficulty 6. All affected targets may resist by rolling Mind at Difficulty 7.
If you succeed, the targets will keep their full attention focused on you for Contested Outcome in Rounds. They will automatically fail any rolls related to noticing anything other than you.
If you pass from their perception and they are unable to pursue you, the Effect ends. If they can follow you, they must do so for 2 Rounds or the Effect will end. The Effect ends early if the target is Injured or violence occurs nearby.
This does not affect the target’s opinion of you or their mood, and they may take any Actions while affected (including attacking), as long as that action centers on you. Fascinated targets cannot Concentrate.
While submerged, the aquamancer can fully sustain themselves from the waters around them, entirely forgoing food, drink, and even air. They may also enter a state of hibernation, remaining underwater and incapacitated for up to two months.
You gain the following benefits as long as you are submerged in water.
You no longer require any food, water, or air in order to survive. You no longer age naturally, and supernatural attempts to age you fail. Any roll to resist an Effect dependent on any affected requirement automatically succeeds.
You may spend one minute entering a state of hibernation, during which you are inanimate and unaffected by any requirements for life. You may still perceive the outside world and may spend 3 Rounds "waking up" to end it.
By focusing and whispering a prayer under their breath, the priest may invoke their god to protect those who have good works left to do.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action or Reaction. Select a Animate target within 20 feet. This Effect cannot be used unless the target is a living human. Roll a single d10, Difficulty 4. If you fail or botch, the Effect fails and you cannot activate it again for an hour. Roll Charisma + Occult at Difficulty 6.
If you succeed, you create a barrier around your target, which absorbs the next Outcome +2 Damage. The Damage reduction from the barrier is applied before Armor. You may only have 1 active barrier at a time.
You must maintain Concentration while using this Effect. The barrier will fall if you are interrupted, or if it absorbs the full amount of Damage. When a barrier falls, you cannot use this Effect again for a minimum of 2 Rounds.
This Effect is not obvious, and the only sign you are using an Effect is you whispering a prayer under your breath. If someone suspects that an Effect was used, they must roll Perception + Alertness, Difficulty 8 to pick up on your Tell.
The survivalist is an expert at wildlife survival in any natural environment. Even in the harshest climates, they have the capacity to find food, water, and shelter.
Exert your Mind (unless you win a coin flip) and spend 15 minutes. This Effect cannot be used unless you are in a wilderness environment.
Choose a specific type of food, water, or survival supply which could fit inside a regular backpack (up to 27 liters). It must be Non-Alien and generic. You cannot create explosives. You cannot create firearms.
Roll Perception + Survival to fabricate up to 5 copies of your chosen Object. The Difficulty is assigned by the GM and depends on the specificity of your chosen Object. Your created items no longer expire, and will last until they are destroyed.
The Thief examines an object closely for a minute to appraise its value. As their eyes dance across the subject, their pupils split vertically, and their irises fade to gold. If it is a particularly valuable item, the Thief may greedily lick their lips, revealing a forked tongue.
Within a minute, they have determined how materially valuable the object is and why.
Exert your Mind and spend a minute. Select a target Object within arm's reach. At the end of your investigation, roll Charisma + Culture at Difficulty 6.
You learn all the following information about your target:
You cannot investigate the same target more than once per day.
