A colorful, strange-looking tear appears in the form of a rift. Feelings of wonder and glee fall upon those who witness it. An exit from reality.


Exert your Mind and spend an Action.

You phase out of reality for 4 Rounds. During this time, you cannot perceive or affect the outside world but may take mental and self-targeting Actions. You cannot move. Nothing can interact with you in any way.

You leave a tear in the fabric of reality at your location.

  • You may use your Free Movement on the Round you phase back in, but you cannot take an Action.

You phase out of reality for 1 Round. During this time, you cannot perceive or affect the outside world or take any Actions. You cannot move. Nothing can interact with you in any way.

  • If you use this Effect to dodge as a Reaction, it succeeds without the need for a roll. Cannot be used as a Desperate Defense.
  • You may use your Free Movement on the Round you phase back in, but you cannot take an Action.

When you activate this Effect, you may limit its duration to a period of your choosing. If you are able, you may also end it as a Free Action on your initiative.

Anyone who witnesses you during this Effect's activation or for its duration will almost certainly be disturbed to see The Void energy that is called forth is depply unsettling to beings from the mortal plane. They know at some fundemental level that this energy doesn't belong here..

  • When narrating disturbing content, be cognizant of your group's tone and accommodating to those who would like to "fast forward" through the description.
  • You may use your Free Movement on the Round you phase back in, but you cannot take an Action.

Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a target within arm's reach. Roll Perception + Melee Difficulty 6. The target may contest by rolling Body, Difficulty 6.

If the Contested Outcome is positive, the target takes that much Damage plus 4.

You may use this Effect to Defend against any melee, projectile, or firearm Attacks within range or Clash against any Attack targeted at you. Using it to Defend deals no Damage but does not cost Exertion.

Finesse: When Attacking a single being, you may limit the Severity of any Injury you inflict or determine a maximum Wound Level, including Incapacitated. You may also choose to make this Injury properly or improperly stabilized, or to keep it unstabilized.

If the target suffers an Injury from this Effect, they will receive at least a Minor Battle Scar regardless of its Severity. When this Effect causes a Battle Scar, you may select which one of the appropriate level.

Possession of this Power grants the following Battle Scar: Pale eyes - His iris appears to be greyish and pale (All social rolls are made at +1 Difficulty. The Beautiful Asset is suppressed as long as you have this Battle Scar).

  • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.
  • Your target must be within line of Effect. There must be no substantial obstructions between you and your target.

This Effect activates whenever someone approaches agrressively. It does not require an Action or Exertion. “Your target should be intuitively based on the triggering event.
