Mel furrows his brow, and focuses on the name of the target. A ghostly apparition forms, and can speak to Mel.

Mel’s mind opens more the the world of the supernatural. With some focus he can call up the dead, and talk to them.

Exert your Mind and spend one minute. Select a Dead target within 50 feet. For dead targets, you must possess their True Name.

The target can communicate in your language for the next hour.

This Effect is not obvious, and the only sign you are using an Effect is Mel furrows his brow and looks at the target. If someone suspects that an Effect was used, they must roll Perception + Alertness, Difficulty 8 to pick up on your Tell.

You may only use this Effect once per target per day.

  • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.
  • Your target must be within line of sight, or within range of another sense if more fitting for the Gift's flavor.

The animal sounds made while fully transformed? Those were understandable as well. Every noise by every beast were now a language she could hear if she took the time to listen.

You gain the following benefits at all times.

Usually, she helps those she speaks to move on. When this happens, they are led through to what's next before they die again. This doesn't usually come up on contract, however.

Being a writer sucks. Pushing deadlines, the vultures of media, the pressure of expectations. So, to make things easier, the writer pretends everyone around them is a character, that if forced/written enough, will help them.

You may understand and communicate to humans and Sapient beings as if you are fluent in a relevant language for the next hour.

This also includes understanding any recorded communications from the relevant targets, including writings, scent trails, etc.

While active, you may choose to use glib tongue. When you do, anything you say (even gibberish) will be exactly what the target wants to hear. You gain no understanding of what that might be.

  • The target of "human" refers to any target that speaks a human language.
  • When reading written communications, you get no information beyond what the writer was intending to communicate.

You gain the following benefits at all times. You must actively and obviously be using Yvonnels Journal to gain the benefits of this Effect.

This also includes understanding any recorded communications from the relevant targets, including writings, scent trails, etc.

  • When reading written communications, you get no information beyond what the writer was intending to communicate.
