To the casual observer, Neva may look insane. Is she hearing voices in her head? Is she randomly talking to the birds and then cocking her head like they're talking back?
Apparently, the UP is an Enchanted Forest, because Neva can now understand the speech (and they can understand her!) of terrestrial animals.
How many conversations must be happening around her! Will the birds chirping to attract a mate distract her? Or will they provide critical intel at the opportune time?

The Sons of Salem is a loosely-organized conservative populist movement in the United States that preaches violent opposition to anything they perceive as witchcraft, demonic, or monstrous.
Blowhard podcaster Ted Gundy and former general of the mercenary group “Hognose,” Roland Rush, founded the movement in 2010 after a series of violent werewolf attacks and unexplained, supernatural murders in Tennessee. Memberships grew quickly, stoked by Ted’s fiery doomsday rhetoric on his podcast "Truth Seekers" and the aspiration of the masculine power embodied by Roland.
Although they speak of duty, honor, and maintaining the “natural order” of things, the Sons of Salem are driven by fear. They collect guns and appear at protests en-masse as a way of easing the all-consuming terror of their powerlessness. At the same time, they have conditioned themselves to respond to fear with “strength” (read: violence).

Death won’t stop me from questioning the witnesses
Mel furrows his brow, and focuses on the name of the target. A ghostly apparition forms, and can speak to Mel.
Mel’s mind opens more the the world of the supernatural. With some focus he can call up the dead, and talk to them.
Exert your Mind and spend one minute. Select a Dead target within 50 feet. For dead targets, you must possess their True Name.
The target can communicate in your language for the next hour.
This Effect is not obvious, and the only sign you are using an Effect is Mel furrows his brow and looks at the target. If someone suspects that an Effect was used, they must roll Perception + Alertness, Difficulty 8 to pick up on your Tell.
You may only use this Effect once per target per day.
- You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.
- Your target must be within line of sight, or within range of another sense if more fitting for the Gift's flavor.
Bird talk

The bird master can understand and communicate with birds.
You gain the following benefits as long as it only works on birds.
You may understand and communicate to Creatures as if you are fluent in a relevant language.

Mouth of Madness
“Even the dead need someone to talk to…”
Isaac is able to communicate to those who don’t have a voice, nor life. When used, his tongue morphs into a long maw belonging to another being of unknown origin, it beckons the undead to awaken so that he may speak with them.
This knowledge of this gift instructed him to perform a ritual involving cutting open his tongue and pouring an unknown black liquid on the wounds.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a Dead target within 50 feet. For dead targets, you must possess their belonging. You must make a Trauma roll when you use this Effect. Its Difficulty cannot be reduced by any means. If you fail or Botch, you receive one Mind Damage and a new Trauma.
The target can communicate in your language for the next hour.
While active and speaking to a single individual, you may choose to use glib tongue. When you do, anything you say to them (even gibberish) will be exactly what they want to hear. You gain no understanding of what that might be.
Anyone who witnesses you during this Effect's activation will almost certainly be disturbed to see seeing your tongue turn into a green tentacle with a mouth on the end come out of your mouth, and begin speaking in the voice of the deceased.
- When narrating disturbing content, be cognizant of your group's tone and accommodating to those who would like to "fast forward" through the description.
- You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.
- Your target must be within line of sight, or within range of another sense if more fitting for the Gift's flavor.

The Necromancer spits into the mouth of a recently deceased corpse. For the few minutes, the corpse's head comes back to life and speaks to the Necromancer.
