The year was 1999. When Famous Power couple Casuali-T and supermodel Bella Giovanya announced their pregnancy and the world went crazy. They became the most loved couple in America. Then as soon as it started January 1st 2000 a bird was born... to the confusion of the parents, and the doctors and the news reporters who broke through the hospital barriers to broadcast the event. People thought it was a hoax, a joke, a PR stunt, maybe. But the people who saw first hand saw something the camera didn't, the bird turned into a baby human named Feather.
About a week after this ordeal, a child in Kansas City was born with the ability to shoot fire from his forehead, which permanently injured a doctor. Then a child born in San Diego whose body was magnetic. But while society focussed on the news filled with superhuman children, people didn't realize other people close to them "Moving Away" or "Going on a Vacation". The Government had started stealing away super powered children for research, and it took 3 entire months before people realized what was happening. Some caught on early, some didn't want to believe it, but it all came clear into view when Feather went missing in broad daylight.
Those who tried to bring truth to light were silenced, and soon the entire country was put into unofficial martial law. Freedom Fighters and organizations popped up overnight, many of the members of which were related to these children battled relentlessly for years, after a few years it seemed like the color faded from the world the darks were darkest, The brights were dulled and the gray... the gray started turning black. As a more silent form of protest, many citizens flipped the American flag upside down in front of their homes, but eventually the government started sending out patrols to harm treasoners. That was the last straw
It was like a collective switch flipped in the minds of the citizens, they began large armed marches through the streets of major cities, even some soldiers joined in solidarity as the army of citizens destroyed the army of soldiers due to the sheer size, memorials were broadcasted 24/7 of the people who died in the march until the day everything changed, the day the citizen army stormed the prison zone where the children were held. That day the government backed down for fear of permanent destruction... and a bird flew above the army of citizens
The Era of Rebuilding went along faster than expected, with families reunited, with the victory the American people had succeeded in, with the true spirit of humanity finally having shown through for the first time in so long. It had been 15+ years the children were held hostage for, but that time seemingly aged them mentally as well. Feather became a political activist and used his wealth to create job centers and help communities. But even though the day had been won, other issues still arose, superhuman trafficking, Genetic alteration, Brain Inhibitors, Even rumors of time-travelers and Dimension hoppers. It was a New Time, a New Dawn, a New Era.
