Description

Percival has gained renown as a knight, and has gained the ability to dub others who have shown their mettle as squires or knights of their own, increasing their skill at a specific task supernaturally in the process. Their body reforms upon becoming the title dubbed upon them, helping to achieve the standards of their new knighthood. if they should break the knightly code of Chivalry, however, their bonuses are lost.

System

Exert your Mind, choose a willing, living, human target within Arm's Reach, and spend 15 warping their form. You roll Brawn+Melee, which the target may contest by rolling Dex+Athletics, provided they are not restrained, unconscious, or incapacitated.

If you are successful, you may change their body in a way that ranges from a mere aesthetic difference to something inconvenient. Alterations cannot cause a dice penalty of more than -2 to any given Action. Alterations may be beneficial, and can give up to +1 in the relevant skill.

Your alteration counts as a new Battle Scar and is affected by Powers that interact with Battle Scars.

Enhancements

  • Concealed (Using this Effect is not obvious. Choose a Tell that occurs only when you use the Effect; if-- and only if-- someone suspects that a Effect was used, they must roll Perception + Alertness, Difficulty 8 to pick up on your Tell.)

    • Tell - Knighting Ritual

  • Strict Regimen (Upon treatment, you may specify a clearly-defined behavior that the patient must adhere to. If they violate the rule, the treatment is immediately reversed.)
  • Augmentation (Your alterations may provide a functional benefit to your target instead of a penalty. Can give up to +2 dice for relevant actions, or simple beneficial traits possessed by mundane animals, such as gills for water breathing.)

Drawbacks

  • Humanities (This Effect can only be used on Humans.)
  • Consensual (Can only be used on consenting targets.)
  • Focus (Using this Effect requires a specific kind of item.)
