Steve Johnson's Questionnaire

1. What town or city do you live in? Why do you live there instead of anywhere else? Describe your home.

I live in the large city of San Francisco. I only live in this city because that is where the high paying IT jobs are currently located. Housing is stupid expensive, and my shabby little apartment is what I can afford. It's tiny. One bedroom and a living room with attached kitchenette. The building is older and run down, with much needed upgrades being left un-done by the landlord. I can't afford to drive farther than I do to get to work. My furniture is lackluster, save for my pride and joy. My computer I have is top of the line and I use it as my weapon in my fight against financial inequality.

2. How do you get your money right now? What do you spend it on?

I currently work as a lower rank and file IT support. The pay is ok, i suppose. I can afford the necessities. I spend the money on food, rent, bills, and upgrades for my computer. I'm doing my best to put money into savings, but there always seems to be something that crops up to eliminate what little I've stashed, whether that be mechanical work for my car, an unexpected medical expense, or recertification for my IT knowledge. I would love to be able to make more money in the long run. Besides the job, I also gain money in my hacking. Taking from the rich and taking a small cut before I redistribute it to those in need.

3. Describe your Ambition. What are you striving for? How far would you go to achieve this? Would you kill for it? How close to death would you come for it?

I am striving for financial equality. It is complete and utter bull shit that there are people throwing parties, travelling in jets, yachts, cars, and others, buying more and more things, and "living the high life" when there are people starving to death, freezing to death, living on the streets, or don't have the money or means to even keep themselves up as a normal human being. I would go to any length. Kill any person, to help those people. I'd prefer not to die myself, however, and am a coward when it comes to physically standing up for this belief. I am a rather frail individual, and was always picked on for my physical weakness. That's why I stay on the internet. I am much stronger on the data ways than I ever was in person.

4. What was the most defining event of your life (before signing The Contract), and how did it change you?

Link Answered before Steve Johnson's first Contract.

I grew up with a friend. We went through all 12 years of school together, followed by the same college. Same field. Same degree. We were inseparable. The only problem was that we both got into two different companies. He went to Chicago and I came here to Los Angeles. After a short while, his landlord increased rent. He went to his employers for a raise and was told they couldn't afford it. His financial situation declined further and further, losing his house, his love, his car, and everything until all he had left was a rope in the park. That same year, the company he had worked for reported record breaking profits.

5. Name and briefly describe three people in your life. One must be the person you are closest to.

Link Answered before Steve Johnson's first Contract.

The three people in my life, along with the one I am closest to are as follows.

1. Braedon Smith: Best friend since childhood. We grew up together, educated together, went to college together, and were together until he tragically took his own life as a result of financial devastation brought on by the company he works for. I have never been closer to another other human being in my miserable existence.

2. Janelle Verona: This one is a friend I made in California. She is the extrovert that adopted the introvert, dragging me out in to sunlight whenever she can. I suppose I'm grateful for that, otherwise I'd be a complete shut in.

3. Jenna Johnson: Mom. Need I say more? She still calls me every week to check up on me. Tries to give me money that I keep denying. Makes sure that I am taken care of, at least as much as she can back home in Montana.
