Celeste Jitto's Questionnaire

1. What town or city do you live in? Why do you live there instead of anywhere else? Describe your home.

Celleste Jitto lives in a small cottage on the outskirts of the idyllic village she grew up in with her parents and beloved younger brother. She doesn't want to move too far in the hopes some information about her missing brother may come to light. The faerie mounds and stories of faerie circles around the village always caught and held her attention as a child and proved important after she dropped out of her magical apprenticeship due to frustrations with the more regimented style of magic. She first contacted her Fae harbinger days after giving up on her apprenticeship at the Faerie circle by the winding river near her home.

2. How do you get your money right now? What do you spend it on?

Celeste bounces from job to job, doing only the bare minimum of hours to pay for her house' upkeep and food. Anything not spent on living costs is spent searching for information about her missing brother and on furthering her occult learnings. The keen eyed can spot her visiting shops focusing on the occult as well as hidden, far flung libraries looking for secret books of lost knowledge; not for the love of knowledge but for the sake of practical utility. Too many dead ends have made her give up most hope on these avenues of information but she persists if for no other reason than to stay occupied.

3. Describe your Ambition. What are you striving for? How far would you go to achieve this? Would you kill for it? How close to death would you come for it?

Celeste has for some time had only one goal, finding her brother or at the very least finding out what happened to him. She has made a deal with the fae, fought another magic weilder, dealt with ghost children, and fought a bunch of horror movie monsters to reach that goal so far and hasn't been the slightest bit detered. She would go to the depths of hell and back to find her beloved brother and if anything actively stood in the way she can't gaurantee she woudn't kill to achieve her goal. So far books and scrolls and wizened crones have proven ineffective in helping her find him, though she has learned much about the occult from them in the process.

4. What was the most defining event of your life (before signing The Contract), and how did it change you?

Link Answered after Contract 3, Sugar & Spice

The defining event in Celeste's life (before signing The Contract) was when her twin brother dissapeared when they were fifteen. After that day she was a woman on a mission quickly realizing that it had to have been a supernatural event after hitting one too many dead ends looking at more standard possibilities. She turned to the occult to continue the search spending all her money on old tomes and meetings with witches. She even enrolled in magic classes but the formulaic teaching style proved far too slow for her tastes leading her to make a deal with the fae.

5. Name and briefly describe three people in your life. One must be the person you are closest to.

Three people in my life, briefly described would have to include My Lady, Bob Ross, and Chiaki.

My Lady needs no introduction, she's the lovepy fae who entered a bargain to help me find my brother and give me the strength to make it happen. Easily the... er person I am closest to.

Bob Ross and Chiaki are freinflds I've made doing odd jobs to repay My Lady. An odd pair to be sure, Bob Ross is THE Bob Ross, a famous painter with his own tv show and Chiaki is a niche celebrity over in Japan, the guitarist of a metal band. I'm also fairly certain Chiaki is a vampire but as long as he doesn't try to bite me I could really care less. If anything the vampirism makes him a more useful person to have on my side with the increased strength and dexterity it grants him.

6. How was your childhood? Who were your parents? What were they like? Did you attend school? If so, did you fit in? If not, why not?

C e l e s t e had a very normal childhood until her brother went missing, after that things like school and making nice with her peers seemed to lose their relative importance. Her parents tried to move past his disapearance, acting like it never even happened, C e l e s t e couldn't take their seeming indiference and ran away. C e l e s t e eventually apprenticed herself to a local hedge wizard but even his magic was too regimented for her leading her to quit her apprenticeship and seek out other sources of power.

7. Have you ever been in love? With who? What happened? If not, why not?

Celeste has never had the time or the inclination to go looking for love with magic to learn and a missing brother to find. Besides she'd seen it turn driven, motivated people into homebodies who struggle to get anything done.
