Notch's Questionnaire

1. What town or city do you live in? Why do you live there instead of anywhere else? Describe your home.

Notch originally had a house when she took over the shop, but low business and falling for multiple magical item scam forced her to sell. If there were cheaper houses on the market, but she wasn’t that desperate yet. At least the attic granted her privacy. And the shop was in a good area, at least in comparison to the cheaper options. As for her parents, it would be a degrading experience for everyone involved.

Her city was like that as a whole: not the best, just good enough. She ran hot pretty easily and the opposing humidity only helped. There was the occasional robbery she had to ran off or much worse. It was ironically a comforting city through. Though the thing that really mattered to her was the history behind it. Particularly the supernatural one.

2. How do you get your money right now? What do you spend it on?

It is quite obvious how she made money. She ran a well-cared antique shop. Through well-cared for didn’t translate to clean must of the time. She collected so much stuff, and supplies couldn’t sell quick enough. In the modern day, all she was a novelty. She used to watch her parents work in here all the time. As her parents aged she knew it was time to take over and she was more than happy to.

Notch had an unhealthy love for the supernatural, and it was quite obvious. While a large amount of her stuff was normal, she had an ample cache of strange items. Though it was technically for sale, it would be an easier task for potential customers just find themselves. It was a rare occurrence for her to give them up. Even desperation couldn’t pry her from them. It wouldn’t be worth it anyway, they were pretty weak. They were useless things, like a cup that brewed tea itself, or a ring that shone so bright it was basically a fancy flashlight. Despite that they were invaluable for her research.

Along with being a tough seller, she was a tough buyer too. While she was originally a prime target for scammers, she finally took her hand out of the fire and was much more cautious. Her research definitely helped her learn what real magic looked like anyway.

3. Describe your Ambition. What are you striving for? How far would you go to achieve this? Would you kill for it? How close to death would you come for it?

Considering all the supernatural happenings in the new and on the internet she developed quite the obsession. There were so many myths in her own city she prays she never had to stray from it. Contracts are a recent thing though. Her wasn’t excited to have her research "funded", by anyone who wanted a job. More out of fear of persecution than any moral compass. She was quite reckless but only the added benefit of money allowed her to risk getting into some trouble for it. Now that she’s crossed the line she is willing to do a lot of things to get her research. Though even she prefers getting the information herself rather than relying on an informant to tell her. It wasn’t as satisfying and more importantly information gets deluded.
