Lumi's Questionnaire

I live in an abandoned apartment in northern Wisconsin. It is old, dank, and musky. However, it is right next to the old library, which is great because I get to go read books there. I love the story books, but I have a hard time actually reading them, I don’t have thumbs. My favorites are fantasy books, or old stories of magic and lore. I don’t exactly have many other choices, the other places are prowled by other strays that are much less open to diplomacy. I’ve tried communicating like a grown adult but they seem content on just snarling and yowling in my direction whenever I come by. 

Well, getting money isn’t exactly something I’m able to do. I haven’t much use for money because I’m a cat. I do have some amount of money though. Recently I was taken in by a worthwhile human, Isaiah. He’s so far the only person who’s been entirely amicable with me. He’s pampered me like nobody else has, he’s granted me everything I could possibly want. He has an excess of money and all the finest things, I’m able to do and get whatever I want theoretically. However, all I get is food. High quality food. The future queen of cats deserves the best after all.

I wish to dominate the world. But more specifically, to make a utopia for my kind, for all of felinity. I wish to elevate my people, my kind, to a greater level. A level where we stand at the top, above even humanity. I will do anything to get there. Even if it takes breaking my own morals, I shall reach that point. Of course, some exceptions shall be left for those more favorable to our cause; or those who I personally adore and allow to stay at our level. I am more than willing to kill for it, I am willing to massacre, commit atrocities to reach the point where I may complete this task. Death is not something that shall perturb me, I will succeed.

I believe the most defining event in my life was when I first learned I could read and understand English. It was the day where I learned that I was greater than the rest of my kind. I was chosen, by some greater power, by the glory of felinity itself. That was when I realized I was destined for a life beyond myself. Following that, I did everything I could to not only understand why I hold this power, but to further ascend my knowledge past the average human. In order to bring my kind beyond humanity, I must first bring myself past humanity.

There are few people who are close to me. Primarily this is because I don’t hold humans in high regard, nor do I hold others of my kind to the same elevation as me because they don’t possess the same ability to communicate and understand. The closest person to me, is easily Isaiah. He offered me to join him, to work for him originally. However, he was a very kind person to me. Despite what I remember seeing in newspapers and tabloids of him, he was a normal person. He has granted me a home and enough funding and supplies to finally chase what I have wanted and needed to. I accompany him around the house, I even sleep in the same room as him, sometimes stepping out of my own bed to sleep atop him. When the day for my kind comes, I will still carry out my duty. But I promise to him and myself, that he shall be granted amnesty in my new world when it comes.

My childhood wasn’t easy by any means. By all technicality, I was a stray. I had no owner, no life, nothing. I don’t even remember having a mother, I simply remember being a small stray stuck out on her lonesome, lost in a fearsome world. So I had to steel myself, and I did. I fought for scraps, I raged against those I couldn’t control. I hunted down mice and rats, tore them open like a brutish barbarian. It was disgusting, a horrid display of uncouth desperation. But it was then that I learned, I was something greater than other cats; even beyond that of the humanity. I saw my purpose, the reason for my existence. I was to be the savior of cat kind. And so I set out, I dedicated myself to learning why I can understand the speech of man but to also elevate myself to a higher understanding. 

I do not know. The feeling of love is something that I do not recognize. I know that the way I feel with Isaiah is different than others, but I am not sure whether this is love or simply appreciation. He is the first human to grant me the respect I deserve, the first to truly recognize me. For this I am eternally grateful. To truly try and find the answer will take time. I must learn to understand these emotions, as I have rarely experienced them. Only after I have learnt my own emotions may I be able to know whether or not I have experienced love.
