Pigeon's Questionnaire

1. What town or city do you live in? Why do you live there instead of anywhere else? Describe your home.

The pigeon lived in a trash bin in a suburbs area of an unknown location. A mukbang streamer regularly throws out bags of food and its mother deemed this place a stable source of food. This unique circumstance allowed them access to food without much competition to other urban pigeon species like the rock pigeon. Of course, one day, a raccoon came and drove the mother away, but the homing pigeon had already matured. It would nest on crevices and go to the trash bin for food. However, good things do not last forever. The mukbang streamer's abundant source of food delivery to the trash bin suddenly stopped one day, and now the homing pigeon has to fly around the city to compete with rock pigeons for food. For obvious reasons, the homing pigeon does not have an edge, and has been barely living on scraps for the past two years.

2. How do you get your money right now? What do you spend it on?

The homing pigeon doesn't use any human currency but scavenges food from anywhere it can find. It would regularly peck the ground or trees to search for a lucky bug, fly to trash bins all around the city in search of thrown out human food, try to appease to humans for free food, and any other desperate measures to ensure it has a full stomach. It may not be able to compete with rock pigeons, but the homing pigeon has a sharp mind and was miraculously able to find solutions to his unique circumstances. It would memorize certain locations in the city where there are consistent sources of food with minimal competition and instinctively schedule efficient flight paths to conserve energy.

3. Describe your Ambition. What are you striving for? How far would you go to achieve this? Would you kill for it? How close to death would you come for it?

Link Answered before Pigeon's first Contract.

Homing pigeons do not kill. They have not evolved like rock pigeons who have faster reaction times and more aggressive pecking behaviors. The homing pigeon has struggled to compete with them and having been ostracized from the flocks of rock pigeons for being different, he has grown to be timid, but resilient. The homing pigeon simply wishes to have a stable source of food like it did for a whole year of his upbringing and not have to fight for its food on a rainy day. Given a Contract and a Gift from a Harbinger, it may just be able to fulfill that ambition, if it survives. However, with a stable source of food, could this unassuming homing pigeon birth a new ambition, and aim for vaster skies?

4. What was the most defining event of your life (before signing The Contract), and how did it change you?

Link Answered before Pigeon's first Contract.

The most defining event of the homing pigeon's life was when his mother left after a scramble with other scavengers of the trash bin. Since then, it had only been able to swoop in and snatch quick bites of food from the trash bin when they are absent. Homing pigeons and rock pigeons are actually the same species, with homing pigeons having been domesticated like dogs, and rock pigeons left alone like wolves. Dogs can never physically compete with wolves, and homing pigeons do not possess the necessary instincts to survive in an urban city, or anywhere other than in captivity. However, such instincts can be learned, especially with one year of being well fed from that stable source of food. Although it still eventually became emaciated, it had managed to survive two whole years.

5. Name and briefly describe three people in your life. One must be the person you are closest to.

The stray homing pigeon is a unique miracle, the sole survivor of the brood of a runflyaway homing pigeon. After his mother (1) got chased away by a raccoon (2), he had to fend for himself, scavenging food everywhere. However, this lonely fight for survival day by day quickly became boring. Contesting against rock pigeons, raccoons, and other stray animals can wear the mind down. It didn't help being ostracized from rock pigeon flocks for being different either. Homing pigeons are social birds, and being starved of positive social interaction has made the homing pigeon desperate. One day, a crow (3) came to mess around with the homing pigeon, teasing him for fun and out of curiosity. Usually, homing pigeons are seen with humans after all. The homing pigeon flew away, and the bored crow followed, then they came across a trash bin with food. The ostracized homing pigeon was timid from his experiences, and didn't contest with the crow as they shared the food. Somehow, over time, they formed a bond, and would help each other find food if they had an unlucky day.
