Conditions are GM-assigned status effects.
Examples of Conditions include supernatural curses, enchantments, and diseases. Conditions are created by GMs and Playgroup leaders and are not subject to any standardized balance. Therefore, their effects may be altered or ignored outside the Playgroup where they were obtained. For example, lycanthropy may be contagious in one Playgroup, but not another.
Circumstances describe your Contractor's situation in various Playgroups.
Enemies, wealth, notoriety, status, contacts, fame, and imprisonment are all examples of potential Circumstances.
A small compartment slides open in Red's left hand and a metallic, marble-sized spider drone crawls out. Red energizes and programs the spider drone with blue sparks, silently directing it to monitor a chosen area.
Spend a point of electricity to place a ward. Maximum observational radius of [[range]], can have at most 3 wards running concurrently.
Red's body is more machine than human.
You may go [[potency]] times longer than a normal human without food, water, and air.
Red's body has been augmented through an experimental miracle of mechanical engineering. Everything below her neck has been replaced with robotic parts constructed from a magnesium-based alloy.
Passive, no costs. Bonuses to stats are additive to the dice pool, they don't require you to purchase additional ranks in any abilities. Bonuses from multiple sources to the same dice pool do not stack.

Royce designed the Transistor using an incredibly durable magnesium alloy and finished his work in a manner that has made it nearly indestructible.
Passive. Always in effect. During a Downtime, you may recover your [[signature-item]] if it was lost or taken, or regenerate it if it was destroyed or damaged beyond repair. You may do this a maximum of Never times. Your chosen item must be an Object.
Red's body moves with mechanical precision and force, emitting blue sparks as she demonstrates her newest art form.
Passive, always in effect. Attacks with [[weapon-type]] will do [[additional-damage]] more damage. The target's Armor is Fully Effective.
Red's body below her neck consists of a magnesium alloy frame which makes her naturally resilient.
You have 3 Armor, which reduces incoming Damage. Armor from multiple sources does not stack. Passive, always in effect.
The Transistor is a Greatsword imbued with the persona of Royce Bracket, the wry, amoral engineer who designed it.
Although not thrilled with his current inhabitance, Royce has accepted that his only agency lies in working with Red.
The Transistor is made of the same magnesium alloy as Red's frame and has a silver-blue sheen. The blade measures three feet, with a foot-long hilt and an 18-inch crossguard.
The Transistor works by continually scanning its surroundings with a soft blue light.

The transistor scans and processes an object as an energy pattern and then stores it within its digital cloudbank. It first emits a soft blue light as it scans the object, and the object then slowly fades away as it is stored within the Transistor.
The interior resembles a white box with square tiles expanding outward in all directions.
You possess a [[container]] that holds 5x times what it should, given its dimensions. There is no cost to use your container. Objects stored inside are weightless.
Living things can be stored in your [[container]]. But they will have access to anything else that is inside and may attempt to break free, damaging or destroying the [[container]] in the process.
If your [[container]] is destroyed, things inside may get out, and it will cease to function, but it can be repaired.

Red holds the Transistor against her body and causes it to emit a high-pitched hum through vibration. The hum continually changes in pitch, creating a haunting parody of a song.
Choose an Attribute upon taking this Power.
Spend an Action, spend a point of Electricity, and choose a target within 300 feet. You make a contested roll against that target [Dexterity + Performance]. If you succeed, the chosen Attribute is reduced by one point for an hour. You cannot reduce Attributes to zero.
The Transistor emits a faint blue light as it does a full-body scan of the target. As the light travels across the target, the Transistor shares the information with anyone near enough to hear it speak.
Target an individual within Arm's Reach and spend 2 Rounds examining them. At the end of the cast time, roll (Perception + Investigation) for the Transistor. The quality of the information you receive depends on your outcome, and the nature of the information depends on the Enhancements you have chosen.

Trophies are special objects and equipment.
Examples of Trophies include healing potions, scrolls, sci-fi technology, or any supernatural item that was not created with The Contract's Power system. Trophies are not subject to standardized balance. Therefore, their effects may be altered or ignored outside the Playgroup where they were obtained.
Red was a locally famous jazz vocalist among the Los Angeles community. James, her fiance, was an expert in cyber intelligence and engineering, specializing in AI. Recently, James staggered into their small condo, handed Red a large sword made from an unrecognizable material, and told her to run. Seconds later, several men barged into the apartment, shot James, and demanded the sword. In the ensuing chaos, Red managed to escape with severe injuries.
When she woke up, Royce Bracket had "repaired" her injuries by transforming her into an android. In a moment of surprise, Red reached over and grabbed the nearest object to attack Royce. She ran him through with the Transistor, thereby processing and absorbing his persona in digital form.
Now she is determined to rid the world of the technology she believes led to the death of her fiance.
