Movement

Actions

Attack with your weapon or hands.
Evade by rolling to Defend or Dodge. Your Outcome is "spent" to reduce the Outcome of any incoming attacks until your next Action.
Activate a Power or use an Ability as normal.
Hold your Action by declaring an Action and a triggering event. If the event occurs before your turn on the next Round, you perform the Action.

If you have not yet spent your Action this Round, you may use it as a Reaction.

Reactions

Dodge by rolling Dexterity + Athletics ( dice) Difficulty 6. Your Outcome is subtracted from the attacker's.
Defend with your weapon by rolling its attack roll. Your Outcome is subtracted from the attacker's. Availability depends on weapon match-up (tap/hover).
Clash with the attacker using the same roll you would use to Defend. The higher Outcome (not contested) is treated as the result of a successful, undefended attack roll against the loser.

Desperate Defense

If you have already used your Action, you may Exert your Mind to perform a Reaction. Your next Round's Action receives a -2 dice penalty. You cannot Clash as a Desperate Defense.

Will to Survive

Once per Contract, you may reduce the severity of an incoming Injury up to 4 Severity levels (to a minimum of Severity 4). You take a point of Mind damage and suffer a Major Battle Scar that lingers after the Injury is healed, even with proper Stabilization.

If an attack's Outcome is positive after defense, it results in a new Injury with Severity = Outcome + Weapon damage - Armor

Proper Stabilization

Requires an advanced first aid kit for Severity 4 Injuries, a field surgery kit for Severity 5 Injuries, and a surgery theater for Severity 6+ Injuries.

Roll Intellect + Medicine, Difficulty equal to Severity

An Outcome of 1 or greater will Stabilize the Injury and stop its degradation.
Complete success (Outcome 4+) puts the Injury on track to heal clean: its Battle Scar heals with it.
Failed attempts can be retried at +1 Difficulty per failure.
On a Botch, the Injury's Severity increases by 1.

Makeshift Stabilization

Attempt a major treatment using insufficient or improvised medical equipment.

Roll Intellect + Medicine, Difficulty > Severity

Any positive Outcome (1+) will Stabilize the Injury and stop its degradation.
However, any Outcome less than 4 increases the Injury’s Severity by 1. Botches also worsen its Battle Scar.
Regardless of Outcome, any Battle Scars caused by the Injury will persist after it is fully healed.
Failed attempts can be retried at +1 Difficulty per failure.

Self-stabilization attempts are rolled at +1 Difficulty.

Compulsive Liar You have trouble with honesty and generally find it much easier and safer to make things up. Any time you are asked about yourself, or are offering information about yourself, you must succeed a Self-Control roll in order to tell the truth. If you are ever caught in a lie, you must Exert your Mind in order to come clean; otherwise you must attempt to justify the initial lie with more lies.

Biography

Loyabard is a rapidly greying lawyer. He has been practicing criminal law for nearly 15 years and is growing progressively more disgusted by the system that he has vowed to maintain. He watches day after day as poor and even middle class families are exploited time and again by the wealthy or the unscrupulous. He never really saw himself as any kind of vigilante or savior but things are getting worse not better.

Those with power and influence are using that to become untouchable and are shielding themselves with the very thing that is supposed to equalize people. Loyabard has a fierce determination to make these wrongs right and to set the record straight. And if in the process he makes some 1%ers bleed a bit well that's just a happy bonus.

Originally he got into Law because of the many other lawyers in his family, but as he saw them get richer and richer defending horrible clients and tying up the court and those less experienced in redtape and legal fees, Loyabard vowed to never be like any of them. Living in a rundown apartment outside of Tulsa and running his law office outside of his beatup station wagon, at least he still has his principles.

Well.........Other then the lying........Loyabard needed to get setup far away from his rich east coast family. He couldn't have any trace of what he was starting to plan coming back on him or alerting his family so he setup shop in a new town under the assumed name, Loch McFee a down on his luck contract lawyer who mostly works for cash and doesn't like cases to go too long or get too flashy.
