Movement

Movement is taken immediately before OR after your Action. It cannot be split.
You may Free Move (0) feet. Minimum 5 feet.
You may Dash up to an additional (0 feet).
- Dashing penalizes your Action -1 die per 5 feet.
All-out Sprint: instead of using free Movement or Dash, you may spend your Action and roll Brawn + Athletics ( dice) Difficulty 6. You move (0 + (Outcome x 5) Feet).

Actions

Attack with your weapon or hands.
Evade by rolling to Defend or Dodge. Your Outcome is "spent" to reduce the Outcome of any incoming attacks until your next Action.
Activate a Power or use an Ability as normal.
Hold your Action by declaring an Action and a triggering event. If the event occurs before your turn on the next Round, you perform the Action.

If you have not yet spent your Action this Round, you may use it as a Reaction.

Reactions

Dodge by rolling Dexterity + Athletics ( dice) Difficulty 6. Your Outcome is subtracted from the attacker's.
Defend with your weapon by rolling its attack roll. Your Outcome is subtracted from the attacker's. Availability depends on weapon match-up (tap/hover).
Clash with the attacker using the same roll you would use to Defend. The higher Outcome (not contested) is treated as the result of a successful, undefended attack roll against the loser.

Desperate Defense

If you have already used your Action, you may Exert your Mind to perform a Reaction. Your next Round's Action receives a -2 dice penalty. You cannot Clash as a Desperate Defense.

Will to Survive

Once per Contract, you may reduce the severity of an incoming Injury up to 4 Severity levels (to a minimum of Severity 4). You take a point of Mind damage and suffer a Major Battle Scar that lingers after the Injury is healed, even with proper Stabilization.

If an attack's Outcome is positive after defense, it results in a new Injury with Severity = Outcome + Weapon damage - Armor

Proper Stabilization

Requires an advanced first aid kit for Severity 4 Injuries, a field surgery kit for Severity 5 Injuries, and a surgery theater for Severity 6+ Injuries.

Roll Intellect + Medicine, Difficulty equal to Severity

An Outcome of 1 or greater will Stabilize the Injury and stop its degradation.
Complete success (Outcome 4+) puts the Injury on track to heal clean: its Battle Scar heals with it.
Failed attempts can be retried at +1 Difficulty per failure.
On a Botch, the Injury's Severity increases by 1.

Makeshift Stabilization

Attempt a major treatment using insufficient or improvised medical equipment.

Roll Intellect + Medicine, Difficulty > Severity

Any positive Outcome (1+) will Stabilize the Injury and stop its degradation.
However, any Outcome less than 4 increases the Injury’s Severity by 1. Botches also worsen its Battle Scar.
Regardless of Outcome, any Battle Scars caused by the Injury will persist after it is fully healed.
Failed attempts can be retried at +1 Difficulty per failure.

Self-stabilization attempts are rolled at +1 Difficulty.

Contortionist You are unusually flexible, and may squeeze through small spaces with ease. Reduce the Difficulty of any roll to escape a grapple or Dexterity roll involving flexibility by 2.

Iron Will When you are determined and your mind is set, nothing can sway you from your goals. You receive +2 dice to all Mind rolls.

Loose Ends

Loose Ends will cause problems for you if you don't tie them up.

Examples of Loose Ends include enemies, debts, evidence, and promises.

All Loose Ends have a Cutoff that counts down each time you attend a Contract. When it hits zero, the Threat of your Loose End manifests, causing issues for your Contractor.

You cannot see the current values of your Loose Ends' Cutoffs, but you can take initiative and make Moves on your Downtimes to deal with them before time runs out.

frank was 12 when his home was torn apart by a natural disaster,his family was evacuated and they lost everything.

frank always loved mystery books,and the mystery of what happened to his home always bothered him.

Over the years, his family resettled in Oregon,and he pursued a job at a local newspaper when he was 20.

he worked hard day by day,looking for a chance to become a reporter,but when he finally made it,he found out it was all about money,the bigger the news,the bigger was the was the popularity,and the bigger was it's popularity the bigger would be the payment in the end of the day.

people didn't care if a kid got lost in a parking lot and the parents are desperate,they cared about how much money they would get if they spread the rumours of a top model having a affair with a taxist.

and sometimes people paid twice to hide "lesser" news,just to keep the appearances of a good neighbourhood.

so frank left,and started working by himself,sneaking and infiltrating anywhere for news that actually matter.
