Ausilia Costa is a overzealous messiah who will risk her life to become a angel and watch over the weak and helpless.

She is 29 years old, lives in her family's villa in Naples, and often appears as an unusually tall muscular woman with Mediterranean skin wearing a flowing white and gold dress, leather sandals and blonde hair. At her side is a well-crafted Gladius in a golden sheath.

Movement

Movement is taken immediately before OR after your Action. It cannot be split.
You may Free Move (0) feet. Minimum 5 feet.
You may Dash up to an additional (0 feet).
- Dashing penalizes your Action -1 die per 5 feet.
All-out Sprint: instead of using free Movement or Dash, you may spend your Action and roll Brawn + Athletics ( dice) Difficulty 6. You move (0 + (Outcome x 5) Feet).

Actions

Attack with your weapon or hands.
Evade by rolling to Defend or Dodge. Your Outcome is "spent" to reduce the Outcome of any incoming attacks until your next Action.
Activate a Power or use an Ability as normal.
Hold your Action by declaring an Action and a triggering event. If the event occurs before your turn on the next Round, you perform the Action.

If you have not yet spent your Action this Round, you may use it as a Reaction.

Reactions

Dodge by rolling Dexterity + Athletics ( dice) Difficulty 6. Your Outcome is subtracted from the attacker's.
Defend with your weapon by rolling its attack roll. Your Outcome is subtracted from the attacker's. Availability depends on weapon match-up (tap/hover).
Clash with the attacker using the same roll you would use to Defend. The higher Outcome (not contested) is treated as the result of a successful, undefended attack roll against the loser.

Desperate Defense

If you have already used your Action, you may Exert your Mind to perform a Reaction. Your next Round's Action receives a -2 dice penalty. You cannot Clash as a Desperate Defense.

Will to Survive

Once per Contract, you may reduce the severity of an incoming Injury up to 4 Severity levels (to a minimum of Severity 4). You take a point of Mind damage and suffer a Major Battle Scar that lingers after the Injury is healed, even with proper Stabilization.

If an attack's Outcome is positive after defense, it results in a new Injury with Severity = Outcome + Weapon damage - Armor

Stabilization is the Injury's main treatment, and each Injury can only be successfully Stabilized once

Unstabilized Injuries worsen by 1 Severity level every half hour

Proper Stabilization

Requires an advanced first aid kit for Severity 4 Injuries, a field surgery kit for Severity 5 Injuries, and a surgery theater for Severity 6+ Injuries.

Roll Intellect + Medicine, Difficulty equal to Severity

An Outcome of 1 or greater will Stabilize the Injury and stop its degradation.
Complete success (Outcome 4+) puts the Injury on track to heal clean: its Battle Scar heals with it.
Failed attempts can be retried at +1 Difficulty per failure.
On a Botch, the Injury's Severity increases by 1.

Makeshift Stabilization

Attempt a major treatment using insufficient or improvised medical equipment.

Roll Intellect + Medicine, Difficulty > Severity

Any positive Outcome (1+) will Stabilize the Injury and stop its degradation.
However, any Outcome less than 4 increases the Injury’s Severity by 1. Botches also worsen its Battle Scar.
Regardless of Outcome, any Battle Scars caused by the Injury will persist after it is fully healed.
Failed attempts can be retried at +1 Difficulty per failure.

Self-stabilization attempts are rolled at +1 Difficulty.

Biography

Ausilia was different from birth, a blessed child always bigger, stronger, more athletic than her peers. Being born into generational wealth meant she never needed to lift a finger or work for her to make ends meet, so she never needed to learn a trade. This resulted in her developing a sort of superiority complex, considering herself above others, whether it be human or animal. She takes grave offense in someone hurting her physically, to the point she loses all reasoning and sympathy towards her enemy considering them vermin to be exterminated. Should her view of herself be challenged through inferiority in tests of physical prowess, she will fall into a depressed state.
