Mansquito is a Super-Powered Vigilante who will risk his life to become the Hero the people deserve.

He is 26 years old, and often appears as giant mosquito-human hybrid, about 7'6 ft tall. Disguise: Giant man who's whole body is covered by a brown cloak, at first glance appears to be wearing a mask similar to a medieval plague doctors.

Mansquito lives in Pilos, a setting that was like our own 50 years ago, but much has changed. His journal has 10 entries.

From Assets and Liabilities
Avoidance You are so off-putting, that most people just avoid you. You may Exert your Mind to cause someone to ignore or avoid you in a social situation. Any Stealth rolls you might make as a part of this get +2 to their Outcome. Only works if your Charisma rating is 1.
Clear Conscience You have a special knack for shrugging off traumatic experiences. Penalty does not apply to Trauma rolls you make, and you may Exert your Mind to automatically succeed.
Trained Reflexes Your life has been filled with tight situations and violent encounters, so when the fighting starts, you act quickly. You get +3 dice to all Initiative rolls.
Deep Sleeper You require more sleep than most people, and are quick to fall asleep but slow to wake up. All attempts to put you to sleep succeed automatically. A full restful sleep requires at least 10 hours of sleep. Attempts to wake you up while sleeping, as well as Perception checks you make while you’re sleeping, are at +2 difficulty.
Ugly A hideous disfigurement makes your appearance disturbing and memorable. Any rolls that involve physical appearance in some way are at +2 difficulty. Social interactions should be roleplayed with this Condition in mind.
Glass Jaw You are easily knocked out. Whenever you take an Injury that is Severity 4 or higher, or if you take any blow to your head, you pass out for the next Round. When you pass out, you drop what was in your hands, fall to the ground, cannot move, and cannot take any Actions.
Gullible You are trusting and honest to a fault, and believe almost everything you hear. You automatically fail any roll to detect a lie, and any rolls which involve telling lies are at +3 difficulty.
Notoriety: Vigilante ou are easily recognized and treated badly by the public at large due to something bad in your past. There is a strong hatred of you in English speaking cultures, and anyone who watches the news or is tuned in to popular culture will reflect that attitude. You get -3 dice for any rolls in social situations, and must roleplay your notorious status when relevant.
Vengeful An insult to or an attack on your person simply cannot be tolerated. Each time someone wrongs you or disrespects you in a major way, you must succeed a Self-Control roll to resist taking revenge.

Mansquito's body bulges, increasing in size as his exoskeleton goes from dark brown to a deep black, and deep red muscle visibly bulges beneath. +6 inches per success


Exert your Mind and Spend an Action to activate. Roll Brawn + Brawl at Difficulty 6.

If you succeed, you create a Barrier around yourself, which absorbs the next Outcome Damage. The Damage reduction from the Barrier is applied before Armor, and is treated like Armor by any effects such as Armor Penetration. You may only have 1 active barrier at a time.

The Barrier will fall after an hour, or if it absorbs the full amount of damage. When a Barrier falls, you cannot use this Effect again for a minimum of 2 Rounds.

Mansquito exerts his fighting spirit, causing his wounds to seal closed and allow him to keep fighting for JUSTICE! Takes a short time to charge up, which cowardly enemies may exploit to attack him.


Exert your Mind and spend 1 minute to activate. Choose a specific Injury on yourself that has not yet been treated with this Effect and roll Brawn + Brawl at Difficulty 6.

If you succeed, the Injury is reduced in Severity by your Outcome. If you reduce its Severity to 0, the Injury is fully healed. Otherwise, it is partially healed and will heal the rest of the way at its natural rate.

This counts as a successful Makeshift Stabilization if the Injury was not already Stabilized; any Battle Scars caused by the Injury will remain.

Mansquito is a giant human-mosquito hybrid, standing 7 and a half feet tall with wings, compound eyes, a chitinous exoskeleton, a mosquitos abdomen and a rail-thin body. He is capable of feats of extreme speed and strength.


You gain the following benefits at all times.

You are permanently and visibly transformed: Giant Human-Mosquito Hybrid. You are considered to be a Sapient, Living Creature when targeted. Your Brawn is increased by 1, your Dexterity is increased by 1, and your Perception is increased by 1.

You can squeeze through any cracks and passageways a cat would be able to.

You cannot wear standard human clothes, and using many sorts of vehicles and facilities is difficult.

The Severity of any Injury caused by toxic gas is increased by 2

Mansquito’s mutated body possesses super humanly powerful adrenal glands, allowing him to put on intense bursts of speed for a short period of time, making even the fastest creatures look slow by comparison.


You gain the following benefits as long as In Combat.

You can run at two times your normal movement speed.

  • Any Encumbrance penalty to your movement still applies, but you do not suffer from any sort of exhaustion.
  • Damage from a collision depends on your speed at the time, as well as what you hit. GM's discretion, but generally moving faster than a car on the freeway and hitting a dense, solid object like a wall or a tree should be lethal. Mundane armor will not apply, but any supernatural forms of protection will.

Mansquito possesses the chitinous shell of a mosquito, and as such can shrug off most lesser attacks, but is vulnerable to insecticides.


You gain the following benefits at all times.

You have 3 Armor, which reduces incoming damage from all sources of physical attack except Gas. Armor from multiple sources does not stack.

Mansquito has undergone training in the martial arts, and developed his own fighting style. Now able to maximise the force of his punches, no evildoer can stand in his way!


You gain the following benefits as long as you are engaged in unarmed combat.

Your unarmed attacks deal +2 Bonus Damage, and Brawn no longer acts as Armor against them. The target's other Armor is fully effective against this damage.

You also gain the following effects:

  • Armored Fist: You cannot take damage from attacking a dangerous material (such as steel armor, a spiked carapace, or an acidic blob). You may Clash with or Defend against any melee weapons or arrows.

  • Reminder: Bonus Damage stacks with Weapon Damage, but does not stack with any other Bonus Damage. Instead, the highest Bonus Damage is used.
  • Unlike the Ability Brawl, this Effect does not affect small weapons such as knives.

Biography

Mansquito is a vigilante, mutated by the bite of a radioactive mosquito, who has decided to use his newfound powers to correct the lack of true JUSTICE in the streets.

Sin: Murder, Arson, Violent Theft and any other major crime cannot go unpunished, even if the act of punishing the criminal causes more damage than the criminal themself did. Also applies to targets Mansquito has been informed by a "helpful citizen" (read: Harbinger, other contractors) are evildoers.
