Circumstances

Circumstances describe your situation.

Examples include enemies, wealth, notoriety, social status, contacts, fame, and imprisonment.

Because each Playgroup has its own setting, Circumstances record the Playgroup they were acquired in.

Polyglot: Stick, Wrench, Kinetics
From Assets and Liabilities
You are fluent in three additional languages. You can speak, read, and write in the chosen languages. You may be given a roll to decipher some amount of meaning from a related language at GMs discretion.
Finances: Comfortable
From Assets and Liabilities
Your finances are in-order, and you can afford to spare some for your Contracting. You have access to $35,000 (or equivalent currency) per Contract.

Conditions

Conditions describe your state of being.

Examples of Conditions include curses, diseases, and impactful personality quirks.

Conditions are granted by Assets and Liabilities or by GMs based on the events of Contracts and Downtime activities like Moves, and Loose Ends.

Because Conditions may have GM-created systems, they also record the Playgroup they were acquired in.

From Assets and Liabilities
Nightmares: Failing her parents, being ejected from Command, becoming a forgotten. Your sleep is plagued with horrible nightmares. At the start of each Contract and each time you fall asleep, make a Self-Control roll. If you fail, you take one Mind damage.
Short You are very short, 4’6” at most. You have difficulty reaching or manipulating objects designed for normal adults, and your move speed is reduced by half.
Sensitive You're emotionally fragile, and very likely to be mentally and emotionally scarred by your experiences. You have four Limits, instead of the usual three.
Additional Language: Trash You are fluent in an additional language You can speak, read, and write in the chosen language. You may be given a roll to decipher some amount of meaning from a related language at the GMs discretion.
Pathetic You are so pathetic, no one takes you seriously as a threat. As long as your Brawn rating is 1, opponents must roll Mind and achieve an Outcome of 4 or higher to attack you instead of other targets in Combat.
Cat-Eyes Your eyes catch the light in the dark like a cat or dog's, granting low-light vision. You suffer no penalty to rolls in low-light situations. You cannot see in pitch blackness.
Adorable You press all the right buttons on people to make them instinctively want to help and protect you. Rolls where your good looks could help– be it via sexual attraction, first impression, or trustworthiness– are at -2 Difficulty. Social interactions should be role-played accordingly. Effect activations are unaffected.
Clear Conscience You have a special knack for shrugging off traumatic experiences. All Trauma rolls you make are -1 Difficulty, and Stress does not apply.
From The Odysseus
Base Langauges Trade, Root You can speak, read, and write in the chosen language. You may be given a roll to decipher some amount of meaning from a related language at the GMs discretion.

Loose Ends

Loose Ends will cause problems for you if you don't tie them up.

Examples of Loose Ends include enemies, debts, evidence, and promises.

All Loose Ends have a Cutoff that counts down each time you attend a Contract. When it hits zero, the Threat of your Loose End manifests, causing issues for your Contractor.

You cannot see the current values of your Loose Ends' Cutoffs, but you can take initiative and make Moves on your Downtimes to deal with them before time runs out.

Biography

Hana has had a... stressful upbringing. After her birth her parents had a falling out, and her father took her. He loves her - they both do - but he has great hopes for her. This translates to a great deal of stress on the young girl - who, having been gene-edited already, already feels like an outsider. She knows what she must do, but she does not know if she has the strength to do it.

History: Hana's mother was from Biogenetics, her father was from Command.
Her mother had pushed to apply 'minor' tweaks to their daughter so that she'd have an advantage. Her father was against it. When Hana was born... it was clear that her mother had done them anyways, and there was nothing 'minor' about it. A long shouting match in the middle of medical culminated with Hana's father using the Enforcers to have her mother ejected from medical by force, seizing his daughter. It resulted in a lot of drama, but it did settle. Her mother and father are still on icey terms.
