    With a knife in hand, Bu fang eyes seems to glow as Qi swirl around him, nature energy itself seemingly charmed by his dao of cooking, he points his knife at his target, with a smooth motion of cutting, muttering under his breath the method of cooking the part he selects. His dao influencing his target as the part targeted turns into food.
    Due to nature of souls and bodies, even if the soul has been warped, it has the imprinted memory of its original form and will slowly transform back into how it was before.

    A person spiritual image and life force dictates their body. If you have a soul, your container will warp to continue the connection and make it remain stable. So what happens when you warp that spiritual image? that life force, the very essence of the soul? the body follows in tow of course. Warping the soul, turning it into food with Qi and the dao, the body will warp itself, else the instability of the connection between the two will create a void, a void that nature itself wishes to fill in.


    Exert your Mind and Spend an Action to activate. Select a Living target within 300 feet. You must actively and obviously use Knife to activate this Effect. Roll Charisma + Crafts at Difficulty 6. The target may roll Body, -2 dice at Difficulty 7, as a Free Action to resist.

    If you succeed, the target receives a new Battle Scar of your choosing, limited by the contested Outcome:

    1. A Minor Battle Scar E.g. an aesthetic-only body modification (a disfigured face, a pig's tail), impacted hand or foot, or vocal changes that complicate communication
    2. A Major Battle Scar E.g. a disabled/removed hand or foot, an inability to speak, an impacted major sense, removal of a minor sense, impacted movement.
    3. A Severe Battle Scar E.g. a disabled/removed arm or leg, deafness, aesthetic changes that are nearly impossible to conceal.
    4. An Extreme Battle Scar E.g. removal/disabling both hands or both legs, blindness, a full-body deformation that leaves the target humanoid but makes it difficult to use clothes, vehicles, and equipment designed for humans.

    • You may opt to inflict a Battle Scar that is less severe than what your Outcome allows.
    • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.

    Spend an Action to activate. Select a Location which is at most 75 feet away horizontally or 15 feet away vertically. You must actively and obviously use Knife to activate this Effect. Roll a single d10, Difficulty 4. If you fail or botch, the Effect fails and you cannot activate it again for an hour.

    You jump to the chosen location. If the landing is precarious, the GM may call for a roll to land safely. You will never take fall damage from successfully landing a jump made with this Effect.

    Instead of physically passing through the air, you are teleported directly to your destination. Does not allow you to go through walls.

    • If this Effect fails due to the Unreliable check, you must still pay any associated activation costs.
    • If you are Encumbered, the maximum range is cut in half. If Encumbrance has reduced your total movement to 0, you cannot activate this Effect.
    • vertical jump height measures to the bottom of your feet, so your total vertical reach is at least a body length greater.
    • Rolls to land safely will generally be Athletics, but GMs may call for a different roll at their discretion if it makes sense for the specific circumstances.
    • You must be on a surface of some kind in order to activate this Effect; it cannot be activated while in mid-air.
    • You may only use this Effect once per Round of combat, regardless of any Enhancements you have taken.
    • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.

    A chef has a good eye on what may fit a customer's taste. Learning how to talk to them, interact with them, give a show and a performance with his cooking. Charming and interesting, a aura that feels inviting and relaxing.

    Bu fang life as a chef has grown and developed the way he talks with others and keep them talking. He gives off an aura that is friendly and is charming, a aura that makes anyone that meets him want to see him cook.


    You gain the following benefits at all times.

    Your Charisma rating is increased by 1. You may Exert your Mind to automatically gain an Outcome of 5 on any roll that uses Charisma (Cannot be used on combat rolls or Power activations).

    You also gain the following effects:

    • Call me Senpai: You may ask to be called by a specific title. Sapient beings will use this title when addressing you, unless they Exert their Mind to resist for the day. You may use an Influence Effect on anyone who uses your title without Exerting your Mind. One free activation per individual per day.
    • Honest Eyes: Your word is accepted as honest so long as you are speaking the truth as you understand it. You can always tell if someone telling a lie without making a roll, though you may not know what they are concealing
    • Party Animal: You are welcome at, and will be granted entrance to, any social gathering or party, at least as an observer.

    • A "social gathering" might include a birthday party, after-work drinks, a ski trip, or yoga in the park, among other things. It likely would not include a cult gathering to summon a demon, Congressional negotiations over a contentious bill, etc.
    • Attribute bonuses from multiple sources do not stack. Instead the highest bonus is used.

    Patients that smell the food starts feeling their mind being cleared and their heart relaxing. It smells different to everyone, it smells the most relaxing, it can be tea, to a childhood food, to even soft candle if that's what you like. Upon eating it, the taste is a bit bland but also oddly tasty and it will cause you to reminisce about your most heart warming memory as well as your trauma, sometimes causing you to cry. You reminisce on your goal, on your motivation, and your past, why you are where you are, and it helps push your forward, leaving the trauma behind as a past memory with your new found resolve

    Bu Fang, truly a good cook, will sometime get request for very simple but childhood like food. Soup, ratatouille, simple noodle and the likes. As his skills improve, He find ways to allow his food to do the speaking for him. Sometimes, to help a person, a bowl of food that smells nostalgic and good is all that's needed. Bu Fang has figured out how to use his Qi and imbued it into his food. This specific circulation of Qi hits the patient senses and the part of the brain that triggers nostalgia and joy.


    Exert your Mind to activate. Select a Living target within arm's reach. Over the course of one day, your patient must communicate with you and reveal at least one of their Traumas to you, including the details of those Traumas and the circumstances of how they were acquired. After the full treatment time has elapsed, roll Charisma + Crafts at Difficulty 6.

    Your target may Resist. If your treatment is successful, you may remove one of the patient's revealed Traumas without incurring any Experience cost.

    Your patient is required to must eat atleasg 3 meals a day for the next month. for the next month. If they violate this rule, your treatment is immediately reversed.

    • The patient is aware of the after-care requirement.
    • The treatment time may be broken up into multiple sessions if necessary.
    • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.
    • Your target must be within line of sight, or within range of another sense if more fitting for the Gift's flavor.

    Upon eating said food, the consumer body will start to morph and almost mutate. Slowly bending and bubbling until they gain the mutation. The food itself is stored in these qi bubbles and is then shrunken and compressed. Upon squeezing the bubble, the food slowly expands and become a full bowl/dish of the food. The food generally looks extremely appetizing.

    bu fang will be strengthening his connection to the Qi in a more unorthodox way. Previously he was cultivating the way of the cardinal beast, the white tiger, red phoenix, golden dragon, and black turtle snake. Which requires a more balanced mindset as one needs to maintain a level qi over it. This allows him to be able to easily take traits of animals and imbued their excess Qi into the very food he cooks.

    Now that he has gone through a specific event, his mind is no longer stable. the yang of the 4 cardinal beast, the dragon and phoenix are taking dominance. This lead to his qi becoming significantly more unstable and leads to his ability to condense the meal not as simple anymore. The qi merely disperse as its no longer balance and like all things in this world, it seeks balance.

    In exchange for this though, his qi has resonated more with creatures and animals as most of them are beings of yang qi. He can directly manipulate the qi within a creature. This becomes practically as if he's molding his own Qi when they're already under the influence of his Qi as the yang qi are dominant and aggressive.


    Exert your Mind (unless Creatures tamed by him) and spend an Action to activate. Select a Living target within arm's reach. The target can easily Resist.

    You may add one augmentation to your target. Each augmentation counts as a Battle Scar and can have exactly one of the following Effects:

    • Specialized: You receive +3 dice to a particular non-combat Action.
    • Environmental Adaptation: You do not suffer harm from heat, cold, pressure, or lack of oxygen in a particular environment, provided that challenge normally exists in that environment.
    • Implanted Tool: You have access to the functionality of some common Device at all times. The selected Device can be no larger than a backpack.
    • Armor: You have 3 Armor at all times. As always, Armor from multiple sources does not stack.
    • Pouch: Part of your body functions as a hidden pocket. It can hold no more than a backpack.
    • Zippy: Your Free Movement is increased by 15 feet.
    • Maws and Claws: Your unarmed attacks do +3 Weapon Damage instead of -1.

    By transplanting a body part from another creature, you can grant a Powers intrinsic to that body part to the subject.

    The augmentations you provide are not outwardly visible nor obvious.

    Anyone who witnesses you during this Effect's activation will almost certainly be disturbed to see The flesh warps and bends a little at the hand of bu fang. The image of a large white tiger is seen behind him.

    • The systems for any Powers or Effects granted by splicing from other creatures are subject to Playgroup Leader approval and may be adjusted from their NPC counterparts.
    • When narrating disturbing content, be cognizant of your group's tone and accommodating to those who would like to "fast forward" through the description.
    • Remember: A Contractor’s Body rating is reduced by 1 for each Battle Scar after their fourth.
    • You may not augment targets with pouches or implanted devices that are larger than they are.
    • Targets without Body ratings may have a maximum of 4 augmentations.
    • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.
    • Your target must be within line of sight, or within range of another sense if more fitting for the Gift's flavor.

    The weapon seems to be covered in a thin layer of Qi as its sharpness enhances and becomes near terrifyingly sharp


    You gain the following benefits as long as you are engaged in combat with Knives.

    +2 dice to all rolls with Knives. You may Defend against firearm attacks from any range using Knives.

    You also gain the following effects:

    • Point Control: Called Shots that you attempt only require a Contested Outcome of 2 for small targets and 4 for tiny targets.
    • Fancy Footwork: You may move your full Dash distance and attack in the same Round without penalty. You may also split your movement before and after your attack.

    • Reminder: Bonus Damage stacks with Weapon Damage, but does not stack with any other Bonus Damage. Instead, the highest Bonus Damage is used.

    Bu Fang body now partially cybernetic starts to heal itself at an accelerated rate. The nanites, experimental in nature has adapted to devouring Qi and uses it as a energy source to sustain his body. Should his Dantian be destroyed, the energy source is gone.


    You gain the following benefits at all times.

    If you would take an Injury that would kill you, you don’t die. Instead, you survive in an Incapacitated state. This state lasts for the next hour, at which point you fully return to life.

    While Incapacitated, your only weakness is Having his Dantian impaled, and if you take damage from it, you will die. Damage from other sources will still be dealt and can cause Battle Scars, but will never kill you. If your weakness is not immediately intuitive or obvious, attackers may be able to make some sort of knowledge roll to discover it, at GMs discretion. After you return, the Injury that would have killed you, as well as any Injuries sustained while Incapacitated, are healed. Battle scars obtained during this time remain.

    Grabbing Qi and spiritual energy from the air, Bu Fang molds it into a food of his desire, almost practically cooking energy itself, to give it a solid form


    Exert your Mind (unless you win a coin flip) and spend 1 minute to activate. You must actively and obviously use Cooking Utensils to activate this Effect.

    Choose a specific type of Food/Food Ingredients which could fit inside a messenger bag (up to 10 liters). It cannot be Alien and must be generic. You cannot create explosives. You cannot create firearms.

    Roll Charisma + Crafts to fabricate your chosen Object. The Difficulty is assigned by the GM and depends on the specificity of your chosen Object. Your created items no longer expire, and will last until they are destroyed.

    • You may cause a created item to expire at will as a Free Action, destroying the item.

    Cooking with the knife midair, it creates this item that seems to almost be a charm you. Walking near it, it catches your glance and suddenly, without realizing its the center of your attention.

    Exert your Mind and spend an Action to trap a region of any shape that contains your current location and fits entirely within 50 feet. This trap lasts one hour or until triggered or disarmed. You must actively and obviously use Knife to activate this Effect. Roll Charisma + Crafts at Difficulty 6.

    The trap looks like A Bowl of Food. It can only be spotted as a trap by those with preexisting knowledge of such traps. Anyone who is aware of the trap may intuitively avoid, trigger, or destroy it.

    Any Animate target that enters the chosen region will trigger the trap. All affected targets may resist by rolling Mind at Difficulty 6.

    When the trap is triggered, the targets will keep their full attention focused on the trap for contested Outcome in minutes. They will automatically fail any rolls related to noticing anything other than the trap. If they cannot perceive the trap through Smell for three Rounds, the Effect is broken. The Effect will continue even if they engage in Combat.

    This does not affect the target’s opinion of the trap or their mood, and they may take any Actions while affected (including attacking), as long as that action centers on the trap.

    Fascinated targets are at a -2 dice penalty to any rolls they make to resist any other Effects that you attempt to use on them.

    Possession of this Power grants the following Trauma at all times: Paranoia.

    • Anyone who witnesses you place the trap learns about this type of trap and can avoid it at will.
    • Multiple traps cannot be placed in the exact same location or be triggered by the same single Action. Nor can one trap triggering cause another to trigger.
    • Trap can only be spotted by someone who has witnessed this particular trap before, has been informed, or possesses relevant supernatural abilities.
    • The area you choose where the trap can be triggered may be just a single location, similar to a tripwire or a pressure plate, or it can be a proximity trigger which hits anyone who comes within the specified range of the trap. This is defined by you when you place the trap and cannot be changed once the trap is placed.

    Bu Fang looks at a creature he has a qi locked on with and speaks as if speaking to a person, with the qi spreading his intention.


    You gain the following benefits as long as Tamed by bu fang.

    You may understand and communicate to Creatures as if you are fluent in a relevant language.

    • Communing with creatures does not grant them intellect but does allow you to converse with them.

    Utilizing food chalked full of Qi that is just, so delicious, so fragrant, so... tempting, Bu Fang can give out instructions in exchange for the food which will be given to those that are affected by the power.

Through that food, he can tap into their mind with his, manipulating his Qi that follows their brain network. Through this, he can ensure they follow his command as long as he is mentally stable.


    Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a Creature within 300 feet. You must use up a meal cooked by Bu Fang in order to activate this Effect. Make a Trauma roll when you activate this Effect.

    For the next day, you may issue specific commands to your target which they will be compelled to follow. All other Creatures which are the same species as your target will also be compelled to follow commands that you issue if they are within 300 feet when the command is given.

    Your commands can be complex and multi-layered, though they must still be specific. You can make them endanger themselves or otherwise go against their self-preservation instincts. The effects of the command will fade after a day has passed.

    Sapient targets can resist by rolling Mind at Difficulty 6.

    If you use this Effect on the same Creature two days in a row, the effect lasts indefinitely.

    After you finish activating this Effect, you cannot move quicker than a walk (max 15 feet per Round) for one minute and suffer a -1 dice penalty for an hour. Exhaustion’s penalty and duration stacks with multiple activations.

    • Exhaustion penalties and duration stack. If you activate this Effect or another Effect with Exhaustion, your penalty will worsen, and the duration is increased by one hour.
    • Your commands must be directly communicated to your target in some way, though this does not require a shared language.
    • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.
    • Your target must be within line of sight, or within range of another sense if more fitting for the Gift's flavor.

    Exert your Mind and spend 2 Actions to activate. Investigate an area with a radius of up to 500 feet You must use up Ramen in order to activate this Effect. At the end of your investigation, roll Intellect + Culture at Difficulty 6.

    You learn the following information about the area:

    • You learn where exactly creatures and people live within the area, and what sorts of creatures they are.
    • You can locate the source of any supernatural energy or the presence of any supernatural effects on the area, though you will not necessarily get any specific information about their function.
    The quality and specificity of information gained depends on your Outcome.

    • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.

Regardless, once the face is complete and worn for the first time, it becomes immutable, permanent. Whole faces will result in an exact body of the deceased, but working from scratch allows you a bit more… creative freedom.

    Once you put it on, you feel the threads work their way into your skin, the backing melting away and the flesh becoming one with yours, which covers your entire body, morphing and molding uncomfortably until you look exactly as the face’s previous wearer looked, or you look like a wondrous new creation of flesh.


    Take a Severity-1 Injury and spend a minute to activate. This Effect cannot be used unless someone skilled in surgery must first attach an existing face to the mask, or stitch one together from pieces of faces.

    Your appearance changes to the form that matches the face attached to the mask. The disguise lasts until you either activate a new disguise, or choose to end the effect.

    You are only able to shift into the one predefined appearance. This new appearance must have a similar sex, age, and race to your own. You cannot significantly change your height and weight. Your disguise cannot directly mimic an existing person. You cannot alter your clothes. You may add inhuman features to your disguise. A disguise cannot affect your Attributes or other stats.

    • While you can add inhuman features, they are aesthetic only. Think star trek alien, monstergirl, demon, etc. Does not grant things such as a prehensile tail, an extra damaging brawl attack, improved senses, etc.

When activated the cracks and breaks melt gently glowing back into place. These devices disperse no radiation and are extremely stable that the energy stabilizes when the container is broken, so it is completely safe environmentally.


    Exert your Mind and spend 10 minutes to activate. Select a Object within arm's reach that is of any size. You may target Alien technology, so long as you have an understanding of its intended function. More than half the target object must be present in order to begin repairs. Roll Intellect + Science at Difficulty 6.

    If you succeed, your target is repaired back to a functional state. If you fail, you spend the full time working before realizing you cannot repair the target.     Synchronizes a person’s “shell”, the outline of their soul, with their body to keep them focused. Appears as a metal band bracelet with a human outline shaped hole in it.

    When the band made by the above ritual is worn, it occasionally (every 4 hours or so) briefly flashes a translucent outline of its wielder’s body at peak condition (this is their “elemental”, the shell or outline of their soul), and the wielder is able to focus as if they themselves were at peak condition.

    The band captures a person’s elemental, the shell of a person’s soul that is left behind in its movement, according to some of the occultist Helena Blavatsky’s teachings. By briefly redisplaying this shell over the user’s form, the user can synchronize their body with their soul at a healthier time.

    Leon's powers have not all come back exactly as they should, but Leon has made friends in many places, and with their help, he can cover for what remains missing. This particular blessing comes courtesy of the Kamaitachi, the sickle ferret. A friendly (to Leon at least) wind spirit who commands the cutting wind. A spirit rumored to command winds that can decapitate people. Though despite the gnarly rumors one can often see little ferrets running alongside him as he rides these winds, Leon smiling as he flies in the midst of them, laughing as he tells them a joke or two to pass the time though the fickle spirits do tend to be rather demanding and won't release Leon until they've been suitably entertained.


    Use up this ________ (unless you succeed on 1d10, Difficulty 7) and spend three Actions performing the following ritual: Telling the sickle ferret a joke once summoned. You must maintain Concentration while activating this Effect, and it fails if you are interrupted.

    You may levitate off the ground at three times your normal walking speed. The effect lasts for the next hour, and while it is active, you cannot choose to end the effect early, or come closer than 15 feet to the ground.

    While in the air, your move speed and encumbrance are based on your rating in Mind instead of your Brawn and Dexterity.

Upon being thrown, the meatball will send out a blast of Qi (sorta like a golden ring of light) around it first like a wave that is blocked by objects in the water before it quickly explodes next round with another burst of Qi.
    Think of like when you drop something in water and a ring of wave form. If the cover is big enough, the ring of Qi that spreads out will show this obvious dead air where it doesn't touch before it explodes.

    Meatball infused with explosive Qi, upon taking a bite, the pressure in the meatball is slowly released, once enough as been released, it acts like a trigger as the air rapidly reacts with the Qi exploding meatball bits everywhere and a huge wave of qi goes out hitting everything in a radius

The area within 25 feet of the chosen Location immediately and obviously becomes imminently dangerous. Roll 11 dice Difficulty 6, penalty does not apply. Finding a physical barrier to use as cover will cut total Damage taken in half (applies after Reaction roll but before Armor).

    Biography

    Bu Fang was the son of a chef. Grew up not in school but in the kitchen, constantly refining what he learned as a child. During his free time, he would read novels and the likes always dreaming about the fantastical. At the age of 20, he inherited a restaurant from his father which is very run down despite the good food. He studied all he could to keep cooking and has grown to love seeing people eat his food and enjoying themselves. He hopes to find the perfect ingredient so that even those that cannot eat food or dislike food may truly enjoy and love what he has to offer.
