As River runs a finger over their ring and suggests a course of action, the person they’re talking to finds that it sounds like one of the best ideas they’ve ever heard. They might even find themselves wanting to please River, wanting to impress them. Something in River’s brain squirms, happily, wriggling its way in just a little bit farther.
The parasite that’s worked into River’s brain has psychic potential that they’re only barely beginning to understand, but it loves their natural charisma. Tips at the coffee shop have never been better.
Exert your Mind and spend at least one Action. Select a Sapient target within 20 feet. You must actively and obviously use a shiny ring to activate this Effect. Your target may be actively engaged in Combat. Communicate a command to your target. Roll Charisma + Influence at Difficulty 6. The target may resist by rolling Mind at Difficulty 7.
If the contested Outcome is positive, your target will be compelled to follow your command to their best understanding of the letter and spirit of the command until they have completed it or for your Outcome in minutes. You cannot issue another suggestion to the target until 10 minutes after they have completed the first command or 10 minutes after a failure.
The target is unaware that they are under supernatural influence and feel they are acting of their own free will. If you fail, they realize that you were attempting to influence them supernaturally with your command.
Your command can be an order to take an immediate Action. You cannot order a target to "do nothing," and they are free to take other Actions as they fulfill your request. Your command cannot be obviously self-destructive. The Effect ends if following your command would cause a target to cross one of their Limits in a way that would necessitate a Trauma roll.
You may activate this Effect as a Reaction to contest any Action a valid target is taking, reducing their Outcome by your own. Your command has no impact beyond disrupting their Action.
My wristlet glows and lightning gathers arcing over the spine fur glowing blue as it climbs her back, lightning begins to arc over her golden horns, mouth opens inhumanly wide, jaw splits down the middle and cheeks spread open to the sides with her long tongue falls down revealing her draconic teeth and her stretchy esophagous and uvula as a ball of lightning forms in my mouth. mouth opens wide enough to eat a person whole. the ball grows large before being unleashed.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a target within 300 feet. You must actively and obviously use wristlet to activate this Effect. Roll Intellect + Occult Difficulty 6. The target may contest by rolling to Dodge or Defend as a Reaction, Difficulty 6.
If the Contested Outcome is positive, the target takes that much Damage plus 4.
You may use this Effect to Defend against any melee, projectile, or firearm Attacks within range or Clash against any Attack targeted at you. Using it to Defend deals no Damage but does not cost Exertion.
You may choose to have this Effect Damage all targets in a perfectly straight line up to its maximum range.
Anyone who witnesses you during this Effect's activation will almost certainly be disturbed to see mouth opens inhumanly wide, jaw splits down the middle and cheeks spread wide long tongue falls down a ball of lightning forms in my mouth. mouth opens wide enough to eat a person whole..
You may only use this Effect once per day.

Harnessing concepts and metaphor magically, mostly ink, Zoe makes certain capabilities inherently possible in her own body.
The first thing she learned with this is how to cause what looks like ink to rise from her skin, through clothes if necessary. This ink is a connection to a space outside of space, when she pushes an object against it the ink envelops it and then sinks and vanishes. She likes to refer to this as Hammerspace.
Next, armor, when preventing injury completely shows as a splash of the same temporary "ink" but when the armor is bypassed, her skin looks papery and torn around any injury.
Her implanted tool is a functioning metaphor of a smartphone, which she can choose to have display in her field of vision (either HUD or an illusory phone), optionally have sound only she can hear or "speakerphone",

Exert your Mind and spend 30 minutes. You may only target yourself. The target can easily Resist.
You may add one augmentation to your target. Each augmentation counts as a Battle Scar and can have exactly one of the following Effects:
The augmentations you provide are not outwardly visible nor obvious.
You may end this Effect prematurely as a Free Action.
Your alteration "heals" over the course of the next month, after which it is fully cured.
Oleg’s power blends bioalchemy with cutting-edge medical science, enabling him to regenerate even the most severe injuries. Using his custom mutagenic compounds and experimental serums, he triggers an accelerated reconstruction process—rapid, controlled, and precise. Lost limbs regrow, burns vanish, and scarred tissues are fully restored as cells multiply and reorganize in a blindingly fast cascade of regeneration. The procedure takes about a minute, with the new tissue seamlessly integrating and returning full function immediately upon completion.
The treatment is remarkably safe for the patient but intensely demanding for Oleg, who must constantly monitor and adjust the process to avoid complications. His mutagens require precision and control, drawing heavily on his own stamina and expertise. Once complete, the regenerated flesh is stable and durable, indistinguishable from the original, and fully functional without lingering side effects.
Exert your Mind and spend a minute. Select a Living or Animate target within arm's reach. You must make a Trauma roll when you use this Effect. Its Difficulty cannot be reduced by any means. If you fail or Botch, you receive one Mind Damage and a new Trauma. Select up to four Battle Scars on your target to treat.
The treated Battle Scars heals as you finish activating this Effect. If used on a Battle Scar caused by an Unstabilized Injury, that Injury is Stabilized.
Leon has long studied the guardians spirits that his foes have used against him time and time again, and while he does not possess the power to create one whole cloth from nothing. He has learned to bind pieces of himself to appropriate vessels to take the form of guardians. Every statue a piece of a broken dream made flesh that Leon must peel from his metaphysical form, ethereal energy that causes pangs of sorrow and pain in those who gaze upon it being shaped into the "flesh" of the statue. The wisps of ethereum channeled into the target granting it life as Leon plays the song of creation. Leon hopes that in some ways, their sad origins will give them the ability to be compassionate unto others.
Through an offered prayer, and a siren song Leon compels the unformed essence of the spiritual world into the object, and in doing so animates them as guardians. Capable of great feats on their own, or when imbued directly with Leon's blessed energy they gain a fervor that befits a mighty guardian of the divine and knowledge of new purpose.
Increase your sacrificial Injury's Severity by 1 and an Action. Select a Humanoid objects within arm's reach which could fit inside a cargo container (10,000 liters). This Effect cannot be used unless Must be in a sanctified location. Roll a single D10 as a critical failure check. If you roll a 1, the Effect fails, and you Leon takes a severity 4 injury as the statue explodes being an imperfect vessel. You must actively and obviously use A musical instrument to activate this Effect. You must make a Trauma roll when you use this Effect. Its Difficulty cannot be reduced by any means. If you fail or Botch, you receive one Mind Damage and a new Trauma.
Your target will become Animated indefinitely. You may choose to end the effect at will, as a Free Action. You can only maintain one animated object at a time.
Animated Objects have the following restrictions and capabilities:
You may reactivate this Effect on an Animate target you previously animated. If you do, it becomes Sapient. Sapient animated targets may choose not to follow your commands and do not count toward your maximum active animated objects.
Anyone who witnesses you during this Effect's activation will almost certainly be disturbed to see As Leon rips off pieces of his soul to imbue into the statuary, sympathetic agony ripping through nearby sapient beings as a sensation of ennui follows shortly after (triggers anguish).
If you do not have a sacrificial Injury when you activate this Effect, take a new Severity-1 Injury.
The user touches the earrings with their hands and for a moment radiant sunlight seems to emanate from their hands, a light that's more a visual hallucination than actual light, visible regardless of brightness of their surroundings.
The earrings are an artifact said to be blessed by the Incan god of sun Inti. They were recovered near Machu Picchu during inofficial archaeological excavations.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a Location within 60 feet of you. Choose a 3-D shape that will define the borders of your Effect.
You create a zone of Golden Sunlight in the chosen shape, originating at the chosen Location, with a radius of 60 feet. and lasting for 5 minutes. The area inside your zone is affected in the following ways:
The Witch summons a crow, whispers a message to it, and sends it off to deliver her words. Half an hour later, the crow arrives at the recipient and repeats her message aloud in its croaking, animal voice.
Spend an Action. Select a target any distance away from you. You must have a specific target in mind, but you require only an intuitive understanding of them, such as their name, face, or Location.
You may send a single message to your target. It can be as complex or as large as you like. It takes at least 30 minutes before it is received.
The message may be intercepted while in transit, and may be overheard, read, or otherwise understood by anyone near either you or the recipient. You must share a common language for your target to understand the message.
This Gift cannot have more than 3 Drawbacks, and its Gift Cost is capped at 2.
As a free creature, The Fairy cannot withstand being caged or imprisioned in any way. Luckily, they possess a glamour that allows them to unlock any lock binding them with a wink of their eye. The lock falls open with a sparkle of light and a sound like a ringing bell.
Spend an Action. Select a Non-Alien door, container, knot, or lock within arm's reach. This Effect cannot be used unless the targeted lock or door is being used to restrain or imprison you.
You may lock, unlock, and/or open your target.
The Vampire is able to turn one of their victims into a lesser vampire, a pale shadow of a full creature of the night but useful nonetheless. Having drained and killed their target, the Vampire performs a brief ritualistic bloodletting, wherein they spill their own blood into the target's mouth, forcing them to drink, and bonding them together as child and sire.
Shortly afterwards, the fledgling vampire will rise from death, hungry for blood and eager to serve.
Increase your sacrificial Injury's Severity by 1 and spend one minute. Select a Dead target within arm's reach that has died within the last hour. This Effect cannot be used unless you drained the target's blood while they were still alive.
Your target rises as an Animate being. The raised creature is totally mindless, with no memory of its past life or hint of its old personality. They cannot communicate. They will follow any command you speak.
The creature lasts until it dies again. It is revived at full health. Any Injuries it had in life are not accounted for when determining its penalties or progression towards re-death, though they may affect its ability to perform certain actions at GM's discretion. The raised creature must consume flesh every day or it will die again.
Raised creatures have their Abilities set to the same that they were in life. Their Charisma and Intellect are set to 1, but their Dexterity, Brawn and Perception are the same as they had in life. A raised creature cannot use any Effects.
Your revived targets deal 2 Weapon Damage with their unarmed attacks.
If you do not have a sacrificial Injury when you activate this Effect, take a new Severity-1 Injury.
Once the werewolf tastes the blood of their prey, there's no escape. Those injured by the beast's claws and teeth are marked with its saliva. Their wounds smell strongly of blood, and it's only a matter of time before the werewolf returns with a vengeance to finish the kill.
This Effect activates whenever a target you have injured with your teeth or claws escapes the range of your unarmed attacks. It does not require an Action or Exertion. Select a target within arm's reach. Your target should be intuitively based on the triggering event. This Effect cannot be used unless the target is alive and bleeds.
Your target is marked with a throbbing wound that smells strongly of blood. The mark can only be discovered with a deep medical inspection or Effect. Removal inflicts a Severity 1 Injury on the target.
You are aware of the marked target's direction and distance from you. This lasts for the next month, or until either the mark is removed, or you choose to end the Effect. You can have up to 1 mark active.
You receive +2 dice to any rolls made against a marked target.
The Future Soldier learned to create foam grenades in their own time period, and they still can, kinda. They look like glowing orange capsules with a rugged rubberized grip. When thrown, they burst into a splash of expanding neon orange foam. The foam hardens in seconds, severely hampering the movement of anyone unlucky enough to have been splashed. Those affected may use their hands or weapons to hack away at the foam and free themselves.
Occasionally, the fuses on these bootleg grenades fails, and they go off immediately.
Spend an Action and use up this small metallic grenade with pin (unless you succeed on 1d10, Difficulty 7). Make a thrown Attack at a Location within normal Attack range. Roll a single D10 as a critical failure check. If you roll a 1, the Effect fails, and you are hit as it activates immediately at your present location. The target may roll to dodge or Defend, as normal for thrown Attacks. The Attack itself does not deal any Damage beyond the Effect.
If you succeed, all affected targets will be restricted at their location by a physical, tangible binding. They can still move their arms and use Effects, but are reduced to ¼ of their movement speed.
The binding around a target must be destroyed in order for them to break free. Breaking the binding requires a total amount of Damage equal to twice the original Contested Outcome. Damage from multiple attacks is cumulative and stacks linearly.
