OWL - The Occult Wildlife Landing
The Occult Wildlife Landing (OWL) is a nonprofit organization that advocates for the rights of supernatural creatures to live a life unmolested by humanity’s relentless spread and greed.
While OWL has become the de-facto head of the conservationist movement in the United States, many claim it’s not as innocent as it appears. A number of small, seemingly-disconnected terrorist cells wear the OWL insignia with pride. These groups– which tend to contain a disproportionate number of supernatural creatures and beings– commit high-profile acts of public violence with the intent of furthering OWL’s core objectives. In the past, they’ve blown up oil pipelines, stopped development projects, and even infected congregations of people with mutagenic viruses.
OWL denies any involvement with these so-called “OWL-inspired terrorist organizations” (or OITOs for short). However, many people conflate the two and consider OWL itself to be a terrorist organization.
One thing is for certain: when OWL sends a blast to its followers urging protest, they’re taken seriously.

A bit of a gambler, he won this lupe in a game of cards some time back. The man he bought it from was a lost steampunk explorer, down on his luck and desperate for a small quantity of radium for some reason.
As Dr Scab pulls out his lupe and carefully examines the object in question, strange illusions can be caught in the lupe lens's reflection such as eyes, teeth, or flames but Scab doesn't seem to notice or mind, simply turning a little disk at the end presumably tweaking the focus.
Spend a minute to activate. Select a target Object within arm's reach. At the end of your investigation, roll Intellect + Investigation at Difficulty 6.

Magnify the Truth
"I will find out what is going on"
The magnifying glass is able to gather information about an object.
Spend 2 Actions. Select a target Object within 25 feet. This Effect cannot be used unless Boe must transformed into her detective sona. At the end of your investigation, roll Intellect + Alertness at Difficulty 6.
You learn all the following information about your target:
- You gather information about where the object was made and when.
- You receive A visual description telling you who has used this object recently.
Anyone who witnesses you during this Effect's activation will almost certainly be disturbed to see Boe take out her eye and insert it into the magnifying glass, acting as the glass.
This Gift's Cost is capped at 2 and cannot be increased further.
You cannot investigate the same target more than once per day.
- When narrating disturbing content, be cognizant of your group's tone and accommodating to those who would like to "fast forward" through the description.
- You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.
- Your target must be within line of sight, or within range of another sense if more fitting for the Gift's flavor.
Gravition Tracing
"Only the most skilled of Fleet Officers are able to master the art of graviton tracing."
Henry places his hand over an object, and his hand begins to twitch. His eyes are half closed, and he sees not the world, but a set of gravitation waves.
For reasons unknown, an AI is unable to do this. It is left on the operator to steer the analysis suite though the planes of gravitons, to seek out the past. With it, the operator can determine where it's been (although his suit's assist automatically compiles that into coordinates) and an image of the last individuals to use it.
Spend a minute. Select a target Object within arm's reach. At the end of your investigation, roll Dexterity + Investigation at Difficulty 6.
You learn all the following information about your target:
- You receive GPS Coordinates, allowing you to discern where this object has recently been.
- You receive a visual description telling you who has used this object recently.
This Gift's Cost is capped at 2 and cannot be increased further.
- You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.
- Your target must be within line of sight, or within range of another sense if more fitting for the Gift's flavor.
Corpse Investigation
"i AM the sherlock after all"
Sherry, now starting to live up to his name, pulls out a magnifying glass and focuses his power through it. The magnifying glass starts showing him how the target died, where it last walked, etc etc. He can follow its footprint, learn if the death was of a suicide, a gunshot, a suicide, etc etc.
Spend a minute. Select a Corpses within arm's reach. You must actively and obviously use Magnifying Glass to activate this Effect. At the end of your investigation, roll Perception + Investigation at Difficulty 6.
You learn all the following information about your target:
- You receive Footsteps, allowing you to discern where this object has recently been.
- You learn Target's moment of death.
This Gift's Cost is capped at 2 and cannot be increased further.
- You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.
- Your target must be within line of sight, or within range of another sense if more fitting for the Gift's flavor.
Inspector of Gadgets
Lets hope your material quality is up to standards.
Years upon years of mechanical education and experience has instilled Ollie a deep understanding and familiarity of different materials. Especially knowing of what is and what’s not up to his preferred standards. His eyes and pupils dilating with supernatural precision to know the contents of the object he’s looking at.

The Thief examines an object closely for a minute to appraise its value. As their eyes dance across the subject, their pupils split vertically, and their irises fade to gold. If it is a particularly valuable item, the Thief may greedily lick their lips, revealing a forked tongue.
Within a minute, they have determined how materially valuable the object is and why.
