You gain the following benefits as long as you are engaged in combat with katana.

+2 dice to all rolls with katana. You may Defend against firearm attacks from any range using katana.

You also gain the following effects:

  • Finesse: You may limit the Severity of any Injury you inflict or determine a maximum Wound Level to inflict on the target, including Incapacitated. You may also choose to make this Injury properly or improperly stabilized, or to keep it unstabilized.
  • Sheathing the Sword: When you would Clash with an opponent, before the dice are rolled, you may opt to have both sides deal full damage. If you do, your attack roll is at -2 Difficulty.

Community Melee Mastery Gifts

You gain the following benefits as long as you are engaged in combat with Knives.

+2 dice to all rolls with Knives. You may Defend against firearm attacks from any range using Knives.

You also gain the following effects:

  • Point Control: Called Shots that you attempt only require a Contested Outcome of 2 for small targets and 4 for tiny targets.
  • Fancy Footwork: You may move your full Dash distance and attack in the same Round without penalty. You may also split your movement before and after your attack.

  • Reminder: Bonus Damage stacks with Weapon Damage, but does not stack with any other Bonus Damage. Instead, the highest Bonus Damage is used.

You gain the following benefits as long as you are engaged in combat with blades you have created.

+2 dice to all rolls with blades you have created. You may Defend against firearm attacks from any range using blades you have created.

You also gain the following effects:

  • Quick Draw: You may draw and equip yourself with any melee weapon on your person or within arm’s reach as a Free Action, as long as it is not being wielded by someone else.
  • Two Swords are better than One: If you are wielding more than one melee weapon, you may Attack with all using the highest Weapon Damage, plus 1 for each additional weapon. If you reserve a weapon, any Clash or Defend roll you make is -1 Difficulty, and mob penalties are ignored. Maximum +5 Damage from bonus weapons.

You gain the following benefits as long as you are engaged in combat with knuckle dusters. You must actively and obviously be using knuckle dusters to gain the benefits of this Effect.

+2 dice to all rolls with knuckle dusters. You may Defend against firearm attacks from any range using knuckle dusters.

You also gain the following effects:

  • Dismember: If one of your attacks causes a Battle Scar, you may choose for it to be some form of dismemberment, depending on the Severity of the Injury you caused.
  • Heavy Strikes: If you are attacking with a blunt weapon, if your attack causes an Injury you may choose to knock the target down and back 15 feet. Standing up is typically a Quick Action.
  • Two Swords are better than One: If you are wielding two melee weapons, your Weapon Damage is increased by 1, and you receive +2 dice to any Clash. If you split your Outcome to attack two targets, any target you successfully hit takes the full Weapon Damage and full Bonus Damage.

  • Reminder: Bonus Damage stacks with Weapon Damage, but does not stack with any other Bonus Damage. Instead, the highest Bonus Damage is used.

This gift was given to Nolan while he still in the army, this make Nolan able to master many close combat weapon which help him to rank up and gain respect from other people in the army. Black smoke that appear around Nolan each time this power active are the physical manifestation of Nolan sorrow which he blame on the world it self who has take everything he hold dear. This power only active when Nolan wear his black mask which mean he is done with his 'normal' self and he get back becoming the fighting machine he has become.

You gain the following benefits as long as you have your The Black Mask Nolan always wear.

Your Brawn rating is increased by 1. You may Exert your Mind to automatically gain an Outcome of 5 on any roll that uses Brawn (cannot be used on combat rolls or Effect activations).

If you are witnessed actively using this Effect, whoever sees it can make a Perception + Alertness roll at Difficulty 6. A complete success reveals the source of your power.

You also gain the following effects:

  • Tough: You gain Armor equal to half your Brawn rating. This Armor cannot be penetrated or shredded and protects against falling Damage.

  • Armor from multiple sources does not stack. Instead, the highest is used.
  • If your The Black Mask Nolan always wear is damaged, destroyed, or lost, you lose all benefits from this Effect for the next two months.
  • Attribute bonuses from multiple sources do not stack. Instead the highest bonus is used.

You gain the following benefits as long as you are engaged in combat with Whip like weapons (Ropes, Chains, Snakes).

+2 dice to all rolls with Whip like weapons (Ropes, Chains, Snakes). You may Defend against firearm attacks from any range using Whip like weapons (Ropes, Chains, Snakes).

Possession of this Power grants the following Trauma at all times: The Crimson Curse Roll self control when a enemy is felled to not start consuming parts of them..

You also gain the following effects:

  • Assassin: If your attack Injures your target, they cannot make a sound, even incidentally, for a single Round. Even the sound of their body and equipment dropping to the ground is silenced.
  • Finesse: When Attacking a single being, you may limit the Severity of any Injury you inflict or determine a maximum Wound Level, including Incapacitated. You may also choose to make this Injury properly or improperly stabilized, or to keep it unstabilized.
  • Whirlwind: You may Exert your Mind to apply your next attack to any number of targets who are within melee range.

  • Falling Crane Strike: If you move and then make a successful attack against a target closer than the full distance you could have moved, you may choose to travel the excess movement in a straight line beyond the target.
