Deep Cover When you go deep undercover, sometimes you lose yourself

Requires Seasoned
This Artifact allows you to temporarily cease to exist.
Used by Bill Brenner, Created by BobDylan530.
On Signature Item Bill Brenner's US Passport.
(It is obvious that you disappear and reappear. You must use this Artifact obviously when activating this Effect.)

By flipping to a specific page near the back of his passport, Bill can temporarily phase his physical self into a small pocket realm contained within the passport. He cannot affect the real world while there, but is still able to perceive himself and his consciousness as existing, and may return to the location from which he vanished at any point (he will return automatically after a few minutes, as the pocket realm is unstable and cannot remain structurally sound much longer than that).

Exert your Mind and spend an Action or Reaction to activate. Make a Trauma roll when you activate this Effect.

You phase out of reality for 3 minutes. During this time, you cannot perceive or affect the outside world but may take mental and self-targeting Actions. Nothing can interact with you in any way.

You may end this effect prematurely as a Free Action.

  • You may use your Free Movement on the Round you phase back in, but you cannot take an Action.

Remembering his training, getting memories as to how they were taught to simply feel no emotion aside from hatred and anger towards the enemy, to have no feelings and see them as the shit stain of the earth it kicks in farther and further when he is picking up the artifact and remembering the monsters that were people that he killed during the war. The "Reaper" Assault Helmet is the signature piece of the Future Soldier's arsenal. It has a sleek, design and is made of a mysterious matte-metallic alloy. The wearer's face is exposed normally, but when a battle begins, a blue holographic visor flickers to life in front of the eyes. This HUD contains information about the soldier's ammunition and shield status, but more significantly can detect enemy combatants. Anyone nearby who is holding a weapon is painted with a red dot that follows them in real time. This allows the Future Soldier to fire at painted targets in the dark, detect ambushes lurking around corners, and grants an overall tactical advantage.

This Effect activates whenever combat begins. It does not require an Action or Exertion.

You automatically detect all people wielding weapons within 50 feet of you for the next minute. This includes any who come within range during the duration. You have a sense of how many valid targets are nearby and their direction, and you have a clear sense of both the distance and direction towards any detected beings. This information is accurate enough to use for aiming at them, at +1 Difficulty.

The 255TE "Lancer" Rife fires an extremely deadly spike of plasma at its targets. It comes standard with a volume control, allowing the soldier to mute its normally fearsome lightning crack report for stealth missions. When not in use, it can collapse into a small metal disk that can fit into any utility belt.

This Artifact can be used as a Rifle. It is roughly the same size as a Rifle but can be collapsed into a metallic disk and concealed. Collapsing or expanding it costs a Free Action.

Attack by rolling Dexterity + Firearms, Difficulty 6. Successful attacks deal 2 Weapon Damage +3 Bonus Damage. The target's Armor is fully effective against this damage.

You also gain the following effects:

  • Silencer: Shots you fire can be made silent at will.

If the Selkie's seal skin is worn close to the body, any contact with salt water will cause them to transform into a seal. While transformed, they have full access to their normal suite of Powers.

This Effect activates whenever you are submerged in salt water. It does not require an Action or Exertion.

You transform into small for one hour or until you choose to end the Effect. You cannot transform into a flying creature. See the Extended System text for stats.

While transformed, you cannot use any equipment (including Artifacts and Consumables), and you cannot use your Active, Direct, or Trap Powers. However, you can use your Passive Powers. Any equipment you are wearing transforms with you.

Injuries and Wound Level are carried over between forms. However, transforming can never kill you; you merely remain Incapacitated until your Injuries are sufficiently healed.

  • Creature Stats
    • Medium (large house cat up to human) Body 3. Brawn 1. Dexterity 3. Fall damage reduced by 1.
All creatures get +3 dice to any non-combat Action that they are naturally adapted for. All creatures Medium and larger may attack by rolling Body, dealing +0 Damage (+1 for “predators”) that is not reduced by Brawn. Gms and Playgroup leaders can apply other bonuses and effects to specific animals.

"The Coffin" is a black, alligator-skin briefcase made to look like its namesake. The interior is coated in red, quilted leather. It is quite a bit larger on the inside, appearing to stretch backwards like a dark passageway.

It can only be used to store things commonly found in coffins, such as bodies, clothes, jewelry, photos, weapons, coins, and similar.

This Artifact can be used as a container. It is roughly the same size as a alligator-skin briefcase and just as difficult to conceal. Unless you are storing something commonly found in coffins, this Artifact behaves as its mundane counterpart.

Your alligator-skin briefcase holds 5 times times what it normally could. Objects stored inside are weightless.

Living things can be stored in your alligator-skin briefcase. They will have access to anything else inside and may attempt to break free, damaging or destroying the alligator-skin briefcase in the process.

If your alligator-skin briefcase is destroyed, things inside may get out, and it will cease to function until it is repaired.

You may change the type of your container between Contracts.

Only you may open and close the container. Others can still destroy it to get at the contents

  • You cannot change the container's type if you are not in possession of it.
  • There is no cost to use your container.

The Scepter of Ang-Kapal is a gruesome device fashioned to look like a skeletal arm clutching a glass eye. When used, blood from the person holding is drawn into the eye where it swirls with dark energy. The eye turns to a nearby corpse and shudders, reviving the creature. The creature does not retain any of its memories or personality, but it is absolutely loyal to whoever is holding the scepter.

The Scepter of Ang Kepal has the unfortunate side effect of driving its owner mad.

take a Severity-1 Injury and spend an Action to activate. Select a Dead target within arm's reach with at least half it’s skeletal structure remaining. Make a Trauma roll when you activate this Effect.

Your target rises as an Animate being. The raised creature is totally mindless, with no memory of its past life or hint of its old personality. They can communicate as they would have been able to in life. They will follow any command you speak.

The creature lasts for the next day or until it dies again. It is revived at full health. Any Injuries it had in life are not accounted for when determining its penalties or progression towards re-death, though they may affect its ability to perform certain actions at GM's discretion.

Raised creatures have their Abilities set to the same that they were in life. Their Charisma and Intellect are set to 1, but their Dexterity, Brawn and Perception are the same as they had in life. A raised creature cannot use any Effects.
