Crow Herald "Caw Caw! -- I mean, my mistress bid me to deliver this message to you. . ."

1
The power to communicate over great distances.
Created by shady.
(When sending or receiving a message, it is obvious each participant is communicating with someone. )

The Witch summons a crow, whispers a message to it, and sends it off to deliver her words. Half an hour later, the crow arrives at the recipient and repeats her message aloud in its croaking, animal voice.

Spend an Action to activate. Select a target any distance away from you. You must have a specific target in mind, but you require only an intuitive understanding of them, such as their name, face, or Location. This Effect cannot be used unless can only be cast where crows can reach. The recipient must be somewhere a Crow could reach. Otherwise the message is delayed until they are.

You may send a single message to your target. It can be no more complicated than a multi-page letter or a long email.

The message may be intercepted while in transit, and may be overheard, read, or otherwise understood by anyone near either you or the recipient. You must share a common language for your target to understand the message.

This Gift's level is capped at 2 Gifts and cannot be increased further.

  • Receiving a message does not force a target to pay attention to you, and they can feel free to ignore your message if they choose. Depending on the flavor of your Gift, they may or may not be able to return to it and read it later on.
  • Generally you cannot communicate with Contractors who are not in a Contract with you.

The new appearance can mimic specific items (such as a particular painting, a certain person’s ID, etc), as long as they are within your theme, but must be of a similar size and weight to the targeted Object The forged appearance will generally hold up to any mundane scrutiny, though exceptions can be made at GMs discretion.

When your Forgery expires, the original Paper is broken or otherwise rendered useless.

This Gift's level is capped at 2 Gifts and cannot be increased further.

  • The composition of the original object will not be altered, and it will not lose its functionality or gain any new functionality outside of its changed appearance.

Chip's a master at blending in, but can lose touch with who he really is quite easily..

When he first started flipping identities, the disguises we're subtle. Glasses, perhaps peroxide bleached hair.
After lots of time, anxiety, and an experimental spirit, he's learned quite a few tricks in prosthetics, makeup, and most importantly, method acting.

Benny can entrance a target into a lustful stupor by looking deep into their eyes and dominating their mind with his own. Exert your Mind and spend an Action to activate. Select a Animate target within 20 feet. This Effect cannot be used unless you make direct eye contact with the target. Roll Charisma + Alertness at Difficulty 7.

If you succeed, the target will suffer a dice penalty equal to the Outcome for as long as you maintain Concentration; if you stop or are interrupted, the Effect will end. Dice pools may be reduced all the way down to 0 by this penalty.

  • If a character has a dice pool reduced to 0, they cannot attempt that action.
  • If a character Exerts their Mind to ignore penalty, it also ignores penalty from this Effect.

You may withdraw an item from your stash, or add an item that is within arm’s reach to your stash. You may store Objects in your stash, each no larger than something which could fit inside a briefcase (15 liters), and you may store up to 3 things at a time.

  • Containers which hold multiple things may count as a single item so long as the things within are generally packaged together. For instance, you may stash a clip full of bullets, a medical kit full of medical supplies, or a box of crackers, but you cannot stash a backpack full of miscellaneous equipment.
  • You may only attempt to store Objects which are free-standing and disconnected from other things. The use of this Effect will not allow you to sever any connections holding an Object in place.
  • The Maximum Object Size parameter is intended to roughly capture the weight / size restriction of items and isn’t intended to restrict shape. GM discretion is advised. A human being is level 4 in the Maximum Object Size parameter.

The Technician can pour a water-bottle's worth of nanite goop onto a broken machine. Under their careful direction, the nanites go to work restoring the broken object to a functioning state. The goop shimmers and crawls, sparking with blue electricity as it reforms broken parts.

Exert your Mind and spend 10 minutes to activate. Select a Object within arm's reach that is no larger than an SUV. You may target Alien technology, so long as you have an understanding of its intended function. You must use up a water bottle full of nanite goop in order to activate this Effect. If you succeed, your target is repaired back to a functional state. If you fail, you spend the full time working before realizing you cannot repair the target.

The Technician can hack any mundane piece of technology, granting access to its informational stores, or, in a pinch, allowing them to issue commands. The hacked system will display a flickering image of a ghost until it is dismissed.

While hacking, The Technician's fingers move with supernatural speed, seeming to blur in a ghostlike fashion.

Exert your Mind and spend 1 minute to activate. Select a Computer within arm's reach. Does not work on Alien technology. Roll Intellect + Technology, with the Difficulty set by the GM depending on the security of the system you are hacking. Sapient targets can resist by rolling Mind at Difficulty 6. The hacking roll and their defensive roll are both Difficulty 6.

If you succeed, you may issue a single command to the targeted system. This command must have a specific outcome or be a request for specific login credentials. The command you issue must be within the machine's current capabilities. For example, you cannot order a standard security camera to grow legs and walk around.

If your command does not require bypassing the security of the target (for example, typing on a computer that is unlocked), you do not need to Exert your Mind to activate this Effect.

Every hack you make leaves behind a flickering image of a ghost in the system as a personal "calling card" that informs anyone who uses the system that the hack occurred.
