The eyes of the small sauropod crackle & glow with unearthly energy as small objects begin to float about.
Guido uses Intelligence in place of Brawn & Wits in place of Dexterity to determine Psychic Strength. In the case of thrown items, most rolls that would use Athletics use Temporal Physics instead.
You gain the following benefits at all times.
You can interact with things that are within 75 feet without needing to physically touch them or be near them. Any rolls made for Actions taken in this way use a Mental Strength of 2 in place of your Brawn rating and a Mental Agility of 2 in place of your Dexterity.
Telekinetic actions have the following restrictions and behaviors:
In battle, the skeleton endures strikes with unnatural resilience, its bones hardening against blows. Weapons glance off with a dull, stone-like impact, and each hit is met with a dry, creaking sound, as if the grave itself refuses to break it.
You gain the following benefits at all times.
Your Stress from Injuries and Mind Damage is reduced to 0.
If you are Stunned, asleep, drugged, or otherwise made unconscious for any reason other than being Incapacitated, you may Exert your Mind to wake up. Any penalty which was caused by this condition is removed.
Possession of this Power grants the following Trauma at all times: Fear of the Living.
Disaster looms. You hear the songs in every heart, and know their inevitable, bitter ends.
You hum a familiar, dreadful tune, known only to you and your target. Droplets of cold river water condense on your hands. They get the disconcerting feeling of a thread unspooling in their brain.
Exert your Mind and spend 2 Actions. Select a Sapient target or a Creature within arm's reach. You may select a target at any range if you use up a scrap of fabric stained with the blood of the target. You cannot investigate the same target more than once per hour. At the end of your investigation, roll Perception + Occult at Difficulty 6. The target resists by rolling Mind at Difficulty 7.
You learn a single specific piece of information, chosen from the following list, about your target:
The quality and specificity of information gained depends on your Outcome.
You cannot investigate the same target more than once per day.
Those who walk in the light are clad in God's love, his grace protecting the worthy from undue harm.
Those who walk with the dark, however, are not garbed in anything so clean. The hatred of the damned for the living is no less an effective shield, however, turning aside the blades of those who walk the waking world not because they wish to protect, but because they wish to see the living die.
And so long as Lucas continues to be an avatar of death and to slake his thirst on the life of the living, he shall continue to enjoy this profane protection as bullets are turned aside by the red vapors that contain the eternally bound life essence of his victims. Like a cloak of red dust swirling about him, that one can almost hear screaming each time it deflects an attack. Only an attack from those of true faith can grant them absolution. Releasing them from the hellish cycle they are trapped in, and wound the beast that uses them as a shield.
You gain the following benefits as long as Lucas has consumed the blood of a living person in the past 8 hours.
You have 6, which reduces incoming damage from all sources of physical attack except People with true faith (Anyone who has the sin limit or injustice limit and has not violated either in the past 24 hours). Armor from multiple sources does not stack. This Armor cannot be circumvented with Called Shots.
Thalassic Aegis manifests as an inexplicable protective phenomenon surrounding Marina. This ability creates a barrier of water that responds to threats with uncanny timing and precision.
Moments before an attack connects, ambient moisture coalesces or water seemingly materializes from nowhere. The aqueous shield adapts to each threat: hardening into ice to deflect blades, dispersing into mist to slow projectiles, or erupting in pressurized jets to alter the trajectory of incoming strikes.
The water's form shifts fluidly between states - liquid, solid, and vapor - each transformation accompanied by a faint, otherworldly shimmer. As Marina's experiences accumulate, Thalassic Aegis appears to grow more effective, occasionally even lashing out at attackers with tentacle-like water whips or sudden steam explosions.
Marina remains puzzled by the true nature and origin of this power. It feels instinctual, like an extension of her connection to the sea, yet carries hints of something vaster and more mysterious. Each activation leaves her with fleeting impressions of depths unexplored and secrets yet to be fathomed in the world's oceans.
You gain the following benefits at all times.
You have 3 Armor, which reduces incoming Damage. Armor from multiple sources does not stack. This Armor cannot be circumvented with Called Shots.
Jeremy Soap takes a deep breath, blows, and creates a giant bubble imbued with his will to shield him and his friends from attacks. When used on someone else, it rockets towards them and engulfs them before hardening.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action or Reaction to activate. Select a Animate target within 20 feet. You must actively and obviously use Bubble Wand to activate this Effect. Roll Charisma + Influence at Difficulty 6.
If you succeed, you create a Barrier around your target, which absorbs the next Outcome Damage. The Damage reduction from the Barrier is applied before Armor, and is treated like Armor by any effects such as Armor Penetration. You may only have 1 active barrier at a time.
You must maintain Concentration while using this Effect. The Barrier will fall if you are interrupted, or if it absorbs the full amount of damage. When a Barrier falls, you cannot use this Effect again for a minimum of 2 Rounds.
The priest channels their true faith into a brutal assault on the consciousness of demonic or unholy creatures. By wielding their favored holy symbol, a gilded crucifix, they can put a proper fear of god into them, leaving them cowering at any truly holy things they encounter.
Exert your Mind (unless you have been recently attacked by your target) and spend an Action. Select a Sapient target within 20 feet. This Effect cannot be used unless the target is undead, demonic, or another evil creature. You must actively and obviously use a gilded cross to activate this Effect. Roll Brawn + Alertness Difficulty 6. Affected targets may resist by rolling Mind at Difficulty 7. If they are incapacitated or unconscious, they fail automatically.
If the Contested Outcome is positive, the target loses that much Source. Once their Source is depleted, excess Outcome is applied as Mind Damage. If you deal at least 3 Mind damage, the target gains a Trauma of the GM's choice.
This trauma cannot be removed by spending Experience and undergoing mundane therapy. Affected targets are aware that they are being attacked and can generally tell who did it.
The witch knows bad things happen to bad people. By bringing attention to a karmic imbalance, she can hurry it along, causing her target's bad luck to catch up with them. The target finds themselves suffering injuries due to freakishly bad luck until they cleanse themselves or perish.
Exert your Mind and spend one minute. Select a Living target within 25 feet. This Effect cannot be used unless the target deserves it. Roll Charisma + Occult at Difficulty 6. Your target may resist by rolling Body at Difficulty 7.
If you succeed, the target is afflicted with a Condition that causes one of the following symptoms:
The affliction is not treatable by modern medicine. It may be diagnosed by rolling Intellect + Occult at Difficulty 6, and can be cured by bathing fully in clear running water.
This Effect is not obvious, and the only sign you are using an Effect is you staring at the target, speaking calmly. If someone suspects that an Effect was used, they must roll Perception + Alertness, Difficulty 8 to pick up on your Tell.
The Solider is accustomed to going long periods without food or water and can operate on very little sleep.
You gain the following benefits at all times.
You may go five times longer than a normal human without food, water, sleep, and air. Any roll to resist an Effect dependent on any affected requirement is made at -1 Difficulty.
The Thief has a stash in which they can store a few objects. It can be accessed through any burlap sack.
Spend a Quick Action. You must actively and obviously use a burlap sack to activate this Effect.
You may withdraw an item from your stash, or add an item that is within arm’s reach to your stash. You may only stash targets which are in your possession, grappled, or otherwise controlled by you.
You may store Objects in your stash, each no larger than something which could fit inside a briefcase (15 liters), and you may store up to 3 things at a time.
You may choose to equip any equipment you withdraw at no additional cost.
The time-traveler spins the second hand on one of their watches and speeds up until they are a blur.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. You must actively and obviously use a watch to activate this Effect.
Lasts 1 minute. Whenever you use your Movement, after all other calculations, the distance you may travel is doubled.
Outside of Combat, any non-Gift, non-movement Actions you attempt take drastically less time to complete, as long as your personal speed is a factor in the Action. Total time reduction is determined by the GM and capped at 90% (executing the Action takes no less than 1/10th the normal time).
