The mother gem shard glows purple, which if used in pitch-darkness may be easily seen. The person's eyes will slowly look around for a few seconds.

The mother gem shard and person's brain are working together to gain insight on the emotional state of others nearby, utilizing the neck as its main source of connection. The shard uses its unique power to scan its surroundings, while the brain turns it into comprehensible data.

It is theorized that this process were made and had been slowly refined by Francis' own mindset. Back when the shard first forcefully entered itself into his neck, he felt it poking in his brain, causing stress and hallucinations. Overtime, through some unexplainable mental process, he was able to merge the abstract signals sent to cooperate with his interests. It turns into some kind of twisted representation of his desire to predict every other people's move, so that whatever he does, he will always remain in an advantageous spot.

  • Me, an Empath: You have an intuitive understanding of the emotional state of any Animate being within 20 feet.

  • On its own, your empath abilities do not allow you to detect lies.
  • If your A shallow stab wound in the occipital bone is damaged, destroyed, or lost, you lose all benefits from this Effect for the next two months, or until you can recover any relevant missing items (which may involve a side-game and requires a GM to approve whatever process is used).

Community Mythic Charisma Gifts

You gain the following benefits as long as you have your American Flag Tramp Stamp.

Your Charisma rating is increased by 1. You may Exert your Mind to automatically gain an Outcome of 5 on any roll that uses Charisma (Cannot be used on combat rolls or Power activations).

If you are witnessed actively using this Effect, whoever sees it can make a Perception + Alertness roll at Difficulty 6. A complete success reveals the source of your power.

You also gain the following effects:

  • Honest Eyes: Your word is accepted as honest so long as you are speaking the truth as you understand it. You can always tell if someone telling a lie without making a roll, though you may not know what they are concealing
  • Party Animal: You are welcome at, and will be granted entrance to, any social gathering or party, at least as an observer.
  • The Price Of Fame: Any sightings or recordings of your activity can easily be traced back to you. Even when disguised or using an alias, people always get a Perception check to recognize you.

  • A "social gathering" might include a birthday party, after-work drinks, a ski trip, or yoga in the park, among other things. It likely would not include a cult gathering to summon a demon, Congressional negotiations over a contentious bill, etc.

  • No Choice But To Stan: If someone speaks or acts against you socially, anyone observing it must roll Mind, with the difficulty equal to your Charisma, in order to not defend you.
  • Poker Face: You reveal only what you want to reveal. It is impossible to determine whether or not you are lying. You may roll Charisma + Performance to resist any investigative Effect that targets you. If you successfully resist, you determine the info they get.
  • Unflappable: Any attempts to control or influence your thoughts or emotions are rolled at +3 Difficulty.

  • Being forced to Stan will not force someone to violate any of their Limits or to engage in violence of any kind (though they may still do so of their own volition).
