CryptoLeak: Silence is Broken
CryptoLeak is a video streaming platform with a singular goal: to allow users to upload and share video content, no matter what. Videos uploaded to cryptoleak cannot be removed, doctored, or censored.
Despite a near-universal condemnation by world leaders, most people greatly appreciate CryptoLeak. It's the go-to platform for posting illuminations, whistleblowing evidence, and data leaks.
CryptoLeak is a mundane technlogical entity that cannot be controlled or destroyed. It has no backing business or organization. It utilizes a distributed architecture that allows it to host content across the entire world, sharding and mirroring its petabytes of data accross millions of personal devices. Content uploaded to CryptoLeak is immutable and cannot be doctored or redacted by any known means.
For once, technology has put the power in the hands of the little guys.
World governments and other powerful organizations can still censor or restrict access to CryptoLeak within their domains, and they sometimes utilize the platform for misinformation and psy-ops campaigns. However, for most people, CryptoLeak represents the freedom to speak and be heard.
Of course, simply uploading a video does not gaurentee it will be seen or gain traction, nor does it protect you from any consequences that may come along with pulling back the veil. . .

Investigate Area Gifts
Arcane Eye
The Four-Dimensional Scanner is able to reveal information not visible to the naked eye. You load a film roll into the bottom of the wand, stand in the center of the area you want to scan, then hold up the wand and release it. As the device is activated, the four arms open and begin to spin, and the scanner begins to float into the air. Holographic beams shoot out of the end of each arm and scan the entire area, piercing through structure and creature alike. Once the information has been gathered, the gyration will slowly cease as the wand floats back into the hand of the user. Upon contact, all of the revealed information is instantly downloaded directly to the user's brain. The spent roll of film will now show a large, inhuman eye that takes up the entire space open and then close.
Expend a point of Battery and spend a minute. Investigate an area with a radius of up to 500 feet You must use up Film Roll in order to activate this Effect. At the end of your investigation, roll Perception + Investigation at Difficulty 6.
You learn the following information about the area:
- You learn where exactly creatures and people live within the area, and what sorts of creatures they are.
- You can locate the source of any Alien energy or the presence of any Alien effects on the area. Specific information about the function of these effects beyond their general type is not forthcoming.
You cannot investigate the same area more than once per day.
- You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.
- Your target must be within line of sight, or within range of another sense if more fitting for the Gift's flavor.
Architect
"I've built my fair share of homes."
With a bit of time examining, touching, and tapping a building he uses his architectural knowledge to learn the layout of the area he's in. Mapping it mentally floor by floor both below and above him.

In his time as a construction worker, he's built a couple of dozen homes, repaired roads, and helped out with even more projects for a contract. Taking this knowledge and expanding it he's started to gain an almost uncanny sense of how a building is made, what rooms it has, and the measurements of everything. He's experienced enough to know how it would look in a 3D sense, turning and rotating the model in his head like a computer program and mapping structural integrities as well.
Exert your Mind and spend 2 Actions. Investigate an area with a radius of up to 500 feet At the end of your investigation, roll Perception + Crafts at Difficulty 6.
You learn the following information about the area:
- You learn a 3D multistory floor plan
You cannot investigate the same area more than once per day.
- You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.
- Your target must be within line of sight, or within range of another sense if more fitting for the Gift's flavor.
Unfold History
An exercise in spatial/temporal visualization.
The user draws a small piece of paper in which this artifact has been imbued onto and begins to rhythmically fold, unfold, and ultimately shape the paper into a form which resembles their surroundings. During this process, the user's mind is flooded with visions of the past, guiding their hands as they fold the paper at the risk of permanently damaging their psyche.
Exert your Mind and spend a minute. Investigate an area with a radius of up to 100 feet You must make a Trauma roll when you use this Effect. Its Difficulty cannot be reduced by any means. At the end of your investigation, roll Intellect + Crafts at Difficulty 6.
You learn the following information about the area:
- You choose a specific type of event and receive a vision of the last time it occurred here.
You cannot investigate the same area more than once per day.
- You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.
- Your target must be within line of sight, or within range of another sense if more fitting for the Gift's flavor.
Deeproot Network
"They whisper, if you will listen..."
The half-dryad places their hands on the ground, furrowing their brow and lowering their head as if listening to the Earth itself. Moments later, they open their eyes, seemingly content with the results.
Activation Roll: Brawn + Nature (10 dice)
Exert your Mind and spend a minute. Investigate an area with a radius of up to 500 feet At the end of your investigation, roll Brawn + Alertness at Difficulty 6.
You learn the following information about the area:
- You learn where exactly creatures and people live within the area, and what sorts of creatures they are.
- You can locate the source of any Alien energy or the presence of any Alien effects on the area. Specific information about the function of these effects beyond their general type is not forthcoming.
After you finish activating this Effect, you cannot move quicker than a walk (max 15 feet per Round) for one minute and suffer a -1 dice penalty for an hour. Exhaustion’s penalty and duration stacks with multiple activations.
You may only use this Effect once per day.
You cannot investigate the same area more than once per day.
- Exhaustion penalties and duration stack. If you activate this Effect or another Effect with Exhaustion, your penalty will worsen, and the duration is increased by one hour.
- You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.
- Your target must be within line of sight, or within range of another sense if more fitting for the Gift's flavor.
Gut Feeling
"The blade cuts not just flesh, but truth itself."
As Grognar carves into wood, stone, or the ground with his knife, the air grows heavy with focus. His eyes sharpen, tracing unseen details, while faint echoes of the past seem to whisper through the wind, guiding him to hidden truths.
Exert your Mind and spend a minute. Investigate an area with a radius of up to 100 feet You must actively and obviously use Knife to activate this Effect. At the end of your investigation, roll Brawn + Melee at Difficulty 6.
You learn the following information about the area:
- You can tell which entities lay claim to each part of the area and how these borders have shifted over time.
- You learn where exactly creatures and people live within the area, and what sorts of creatures they are.
- You learn how heavily trafficked the area is, what sorts of Animate beings have moved through the area and when.
After you finish activating this Effect, you cannot move quicker than a walk (max 15 feet per Round) for one minute and suffer a -1 dice penalty for an hour. Exhaustion’s penalty and duration stacks with multiple activations.

Set the Scene
The detective pulls out their magnifying glass and investigates the area, learning details about any nearby structures and picking up details on what sorts of beings have passed through and when.
Exert your Mind and spend a minute. Investigate an area with a radius of up to 100 feet You must actively and obviously use a magnifying glass to activate this Effect. At the end of your investigation, roll Perception + Investigation at Difficulty 6.
You learn the following information about the area:
- You can tell the age of any structure or natural formation in the area. This includes trees and plants growing in the area.
- You learn how heavily trafficked the area is, what sorts of Animate beings have moved through the area and when.
You cannot investigate the same area more than once per day.
- You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.
- Your target must be within line of sight, or within range of another sense if more fitting for the Gift's flavor.
Scents and Signs
The beastmaster puts their nose to the ground and sniffs about the area. Their feral nostrils tell them what sorts of creatures live in the area, and who lays claim to each region.
