Emily takes her marker, draws something small - a compass, a square, and a "G" - for "Graves."
Emily's right eye splits into 3 pupils, three irises. Like a bug.
She's watching, through it - and if you accept a gift from her - you can hear her, through it.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action to activate. Select a target within 10 feet. You must use up a marker in order to activate this Effect. You must remain within 1000 feet of your ward to access its senses.
You place a ward, which is fixed to a target Object that can be moved and repositioned. You can hear and see through the ward as though you were standing at its location. You may have at most 3 wards running at once.
The ward requires Concentration to monitor, though it will remain active until you deactivate it. It can be detected with a roll and destroyed through mundane means.
You may communicate through your ward, though doing so will reveal its presence.
....
Spend 30 minutes. Select a Living target within arm's reach. You cannot target yourself. The target can easily Resist.
You may add one augmentation to your target. Each augmentation counts as a Trauma and can have exactly one of the following Effects:
The augmentations you provide are not outwardly visible nor obvious.
This Gift's Cost is capped at 2 and cannot be increased further.
Your alteration "heals" over the course of the next month, after which it is fully cured.
You gain the following benefits as long as you are engaged in unarmed combat.
Your unarmed attacks deal +2 Bonus Damage (instead of -2). The target's Armor is fully effective against this damage. You may React to and Defend against firearms and other projectile attacks.
You also gain the following effects:
Jake tensed his body just as he was once instructed... before an overwhelming pain coursed through his body, feeling like he was burning alive from the inside out. He couldn't help but scream as he felt his back start to swell like a balloon, his skin darkening substantially as he held his head. He coughed up blood and bile as his arms began to unfold and expand, his skin growing soft and malleable - then the true horror began.
His body would swell and shrink, swell and shrink, like a mix between a bubble and a lung... And it kept growing. Eventually, it grew until it was twice his original size before unfolding into an array of flesh, bone, and blood, dancing and layering on itself as it took on a new, terrible form: his head was longer, like the Xenomorph if half of the back of its head was missing. His jaw opened and fell slack, easily going past a foot in length. His back was heavily arched into a slouching position as it looked incredibly swollen, spines protruding at random points from it as it's spine extended out before slowly retracting back in. Then there were his limbs... His arms were thin yet layered with muscle while his legs were spindly and long, his feet and hands now reduced to bone talons and claws respectively. Instead of a cry of pain, it let out a series of wet clicks before it's throat opened to reveal a flesh sack, which inflated as the thing let out a deafening roar, declaring dominance and a demand for bloodshed.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action to activate.
You transform into Abberant Humanoid for 30 minutes. You have access to all of your Powers while you are Abberant Humanoid, and you can use your equipment. Your Battle Scars, Injuries, and physical Liabilities are carried over between forms. While transformed, your Brawn is increased by 1 and your Dexterity is increased by 1.
Your alternate form is its own deadly weapon. Unarmed attacks made in your alternate form deal +3 Bonus Damage (instead of the typical -2).
You do not suffer wound penalties while in your Alternate Form.
Anyone who witnesses you during this Effect's activation or for its duration will almost certainly be disturbed to see His body twisting, stretching, and folding out like someone knitting his corpse into a new form..
Possession of this Power grants the following Battle Scar: The area of his chest where his heart is located is swollen, the veins around it inflamed and a deep red and blue, making it hard or impossible to hide..
While transformed, you automatically fail any Mind roll to resist an impulse and suffer -3 dice on all other Mind rolls.
You cannot speak any coherent verbal language while transformed and must resort to other means of communication.
Edgar's flesh is unusually dense, scabrous, & sinewy, particularly around his thick forearms & curving talons. His teeth are now fully formed, a muzzle exploding with fangs. Edgar can claw, dig, & gnaw his way through most materials, or opponents, with frightening ease.
You gain the following benefits as long as you are engaged in unarmed combat.
+2 dice to rolls for Attacking, Defending, and Clashing without a weapon. Unarmed attacks do +0 Weapon Damage (instead of -1).
You may Defend against melee, projectile, or firearm Attacks from any range and Clash with those in range of your Attacks. Attacking materials like steel or spikes will not Damage you unless it has an Effect that does so.
You also gain the following effects:
I form it with my hands!!
If you’re convincing enough, anything is possible.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a target within arm's reach. Choose an illusion to generate, which can be no larger than a coffee mug.
The chosen illusion is generated at your target, and it will remain in place for the next minute or you choose to end it. It can be perceived by people through their sight. The illusion cannot be used as an attack. You cannot make an exact replica of an existing Animate being or Object.
Anyone who touches the illusion (or who would be able to perceive it significantly through a sense it cannot fool) realizes it is an illusion and can choose to perceive it or not at will.
The illusion will remain fixed to its initial target, and can only change locations if the initial target is mobile in some way. It may have moving parts and engage in simple, predetermined movements but cannot perform anything complex or interactive unless you maintain Concentration and “puppeteer” it.
The spy is able to transform an ordinary ballpoint pen into a monitoring device that is inconspicuous enough to blend in to most settings, but advanced enough to allow 360 degree surveillance as well as audio capture, which is sent to their smartphone.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a target within 10 feet. You must actively and obviously use a ballpoint pen to activate this Effect.
You place a ward, which is fixed to a target Object that can be moved and repositioned. You can hear and see through the ward as though you were standing at its location. You may have at most 1 wards active at once.
The ward requires Concentration to monitor, though it will remain active until you deactivate it. The ward can be discovered if someone knows what they are looking for, but is otherwise inconspicuous and cannot be identified as a ward.
The magician waves a handkerchief over an item, and it disappears! They may produce the object later by fluttering a scarf.
Spend a Quick Action. You must actively and obviously use a scarf, sheet, or handkerchief to activate this Effect.
You may withdraw an item from your stash, or add an item that is within arm’s reach to your stash. You may only stash targets which are in your possession, grappled, or otherwise controlled by you.
You may store Objects in your stash, each no larger than something which could fit inside a briefcase (15 liters), and you may store up to 3 things at a time.
You may choose to equip any equipment you withdraw at no additional cost.
The doctor is a master at surgical transplantation. As long as they have a donor part, they can replace any permanent, lingering battle scars on their patient. Of course, the transplanted part doesn't always match, and the patient must be careful to follow the doctor's aftercare orders, or the replacement will be rejected.
Exert your Mind and spend a minute. Select a Living target within arm's reach. You must use up a donor body part matching the injured area in order to activate this Effect. Select a Battle Scar on your target to treat.
The treated Battle Scar heals as you finish activating this Effect. You may specify a specific condition that the patient must adhere to. If they break this condition, the treatment is immediately reversed. Record this regimen as a Condition.
Healing a Battle Scar in this way leaves behind a mismatched replacement on the target which cannot be healed.
The time-traveler spins the second hand on one of their watches and speeds up until they are a blur.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. You must actively and obviously use a watch to activate this Effect.
Whenever you use your Movement, after all other calculations, the distance you may travel is doubled.
Outside of Combat, any non-Gift, non-movement Actions you attempt take drastically less time to complete, as long as your personal speed is a factor in the Action. Total time reduction is determined by the GM and capped at 90% (executing the Action takes no less than 1/10th the normal time).
Most severe injuries occur far from a facility that could treat them, and in the fetid muck of the battlefield even minor wounds may be a death sentence. Luckily the soldier is well-trained in the use of their standard-issue medical kit. They may stabilize even the most severe injuries with a little gauze and some no-anesthetic stitching. Furthermore, the treated wounds of their comrades never get infected.
You gain the following benefits at all times. You must actively and obviously be using a standard issue military medical kit to gain the benefits of this Effect.
All Stabilizations you attempt are considered Proper Stabilizations.
You also gain the following effects:
