The blade of the weapon seems to be constantly shifting from being Brand-new to being extremely old, when used it ages whatever the blade touches to the point of either sever injury or death. The reason Its sheath has a layer of cloth is because the effect is so strong that it can effect someone just touching the sheath with just there bare hands.
