Legacy Power: Navajo Shaman - Calming Charm

This power is derived from ancient Navajo shaman folklore.

Description

A charm to produce calm, targets can only take defensive actions at the most, and are calmed.
The target must be in contact with a soft, animal material (suede, leather, fur, down, etc).

System

Use one power and roll Charisma + Occult, contested by the target’s Intelligence + Meditation. If you succeed, they cannot use any offensive powers and attacks for the duration. Lasts successes minutes or until the target takes an injury.

Enhancements

  • Concealed (Using this Effect is not obvious. Choose a Tell that occurs only when you use the Effect; if-- and only if-- someone suspects that a Effect was used, they must roll Perception + Alertness, Difficulty 8 to pick up on your Tell.)
  • Group Therapy (You may target a number of individuals equal to your Charisma rating.)
  • Switch (You may turn this Effect on and off during its duration.)

Drawbacks

  • Focus (Using this Effect requires a specific kind of item.)
    • Object - soft animal material (suede leather fur down etc)
  • Tunnel Vision (While this Effect is active, you are at -2 dice to all Actions and cannot Concentrate.)
  • Conditional (This Effect is only available when a certain condition is met. This condition must be severe enough that this Gift is unusable the majority of the time.)
    • Condition - The target must be in contact with a soft animal material (suede leather fur down etc).
