Clever dogs can get into things and places that you wouldn't imagine they normally could, and Wally is cleverer than most.
You gain the following benefits as long as No one is looking at Wally.
You can interact with things that are within 75 feet without needing to physically touch them or be near them. Any rolls made for Actions taken in this way use a Mental Strength of 4 in place of your Brawn rating, a Mental Agility of 2 in place of your Dexterity, and otherwise use your own Attributes and Abilities.
Telekinetic actions have the following restrictions and behaviors:
Rob plays a jazz tune on whatever instrument he has available to him and fixes up a simple object nearby through the powers of Jazz Magic.
Spend 10 Rounds. Select a non-Alien simple Object within arm's reach that is no larger than an SUV. You may target Alien technology, so long as you have an understanding of its intended function. When repairing Alien targets, you must Exert your Mind. You must actively and obviously use an instrument to activate this Effect. More than half the target object must be present in order to begin repairs. Roll Charisma + Performance at Difficulty 6.
If you succeed, your target is repaired back to a functional state. If you fail, you spend the full time working before realizing you cannot repair the target.
You may only use this Effect once per day.
Johnny Rook is just waffling, usually a bit too much
Voice sounds similar to those he's just been talking to, like a sapient parrot.
Johnny can only communicate to English speaking humans and other caracaras, all other animals are off limits.
You gain the following benefits at all times.
You may understand and communicate to humans as if you are fluent in a relevant language.
As the gift user activates this gift, a subtle fiery glow encompasses their silhouette, and long streaks of flame begin flaring out of their temporarily-blackened eyes and any existing open wounds. The flames don't attempt to reach upwards, but instead radiate outwards from the user as if horizontally coiling around them. Parts of the flames that get close enough to touch any foreign surfaces leave marks commonly attributed to heat damage. Also, glowing cinders can be seen floating in the air within the range of the encroaching blast, more commonly coalescing closer to the user.
Before the blast's detonation, the fiery glow around the gift user's silhouette is no longer subtle - instead, it envelops them fully. The detonation leaves the user momentarily obscured by the searing brightness of the flames, which flare out with great magnitude before vanishing.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. The area within 10 feet of you immediately and obviously becomes imminently dangerous. On the following Rounds, you may choose to detonate the Blast as a Free Action on your initiative. When you do so-- or when one minute elapses-- roll Brawn + Melee at Difficulty 6. Targets remaining inside the radius may attempt an appropriate Reaction at GM’s discretion. Finding a physical barrier to use as cover will cut total damage taken in half (applies after Reaction roll but before Armor).
If the Outcome is positive, your blast hits everything within 10 feet of you with Damage equal to your Outcome + 2. If you botched the activation roll, you will also take full Damage from the blast, otherwise it will not hurt you.
Any flammable Objects within the radius during the blast will catch fire, and any being who takes at least 4 Damage will catch fire. Starting the Round after they caught fire, flaming targets take 2 Damage per Round until the fire is extinguished.
With Eliza's help, Laz can manipulate the electrical fields immediately around him to manipulate locks with any electronic control. Where this used to be achieved by manipulating an external device, subtle (and not so subtle) shifts in how his nanotech interacts with the world have enabled him to eliminated that dependency, albeit at the cost of diminished range. It's still not a terrible idea to wave his card over a reader to help add a sense of normalcy to the event, when possible. very savvy observers might notice a static spark between him and the reader or door involved, though most might just think he had scuffed his feet on some carpet.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a Non-Alien electronically controlled lock within arm's reach.
You may lock, unlock, and/or open your target.
This Effect is not obvious, and the only sign you are using an Effect is static discharge when touching the reader or door. If someone suspects that an Effect was used, they must roll Perception + Alertness, Difficulty 8 to pick up on your Tell.
You were made for traversing the waves, being able to swim at high speeds through nearly any condition.
Your shell is structured in such a way that water can easily flow around it, increasing speed.
You gain the following benefits as long as you are swimming.
Whenever you use your Movement, after all other calculations, the distance you may travel is doubled.
The mystic enters a meditation while focusing on a remote location. A glowing sigil of an eye appears on their forehead, and a ghostly image of themselves meditating appears at the location they are envisioning. For a brief period, they may see the area they are projecting to as though they were standing there.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a target Location within 75 feet.
You may perceive things as if you were standing at that Location. The effect lasts indefinitely but you must maintain Concentration to keep it up. You cannot perceive anything at your physical location while the effect is active.
You create a visible manifestation at the Location where your senses are projected which looks like a ghostly image of yourself meditating.
The aquamancer shifts into their elemental form and melds into a nearby collection of water, only to reform shortly out of a different source of water within line of sight.
Exert your Mind and spend 2 Actions. Select a Location within your line of sight , and which is directly adjacent to water. You must be within arm's reach of water to activate this Effect.
You are transported directly to the chosen Location. You must wait an hour before activating this effect again.
The magician reaches into their hat and focuses. Inside, light wells and flows like a viscous liquid. Then, they withdraws the item of their choosing.
Exert your Mind and spend 1 minute. You must actively and obviously use a top hat to activate this Effect.
Choose an Object which could fit inside a regular backpack (up to 27 liters). It must be Non-Alien and generic. You cannot create explosives. You may create firearms.
Roll Perception + Occult to fabricate your chosen Object. The Difficulty is assigned by the GM and depends on the specificity of your chosen Object. The created item lasts 2 hours.
The creature's claws rip through the poor, defenseless doctor's coat, opening deep gashes in their gut. It bares its fangs to lunge for the killing blow, but the doctor looks up at the attacker. Their eyes filed not with utter terror at their imminent demise, only a look of disappointment and pity. Touched, the monster hesitates. . .
This Effect activates whenever you receive a Severity 2 or higher Injury from an attack. It does not require an Action or Exertion. Select a Living target within 45 feet. Your target should be intuitively based on the triggering event. Roll Charisma + Influence at Difficulty 6. Affected targets can resist by rolling Mind at Difficulty 6.
If you succeed, for the next minute, your target will do things they otherwise wouldn’t have done, inspired by remorse for hurting such a pure soul. They will not necessarily display their emotions in an obvious way.
Actions they take will be in keeping with their character and the way they tend to deal with strong emotions. They will be unlikely to change their mind about any actions taken or decisions made until after the Effect ends.
Once the werewolf tastes the blood of their prey, there's no escape. Those injured by the beast's claws and teeth are marked with its saliva. Their wounds smell strongly of blood, and it's only a matter of time before the werewolf returns with a vengeance to finish the kill.
This Effect activates whenever a target you have injured with your teeth or claws escapes the range of your unarmed attacks. It does not require an Action or Exertion. Select a target within arm's reach. Your target should be intuitively based on the triggering event. This Effect cannot be used unless the target is alive and bleeds.
Your target is marked with a throbbing wound that smells strongly of blood. The mark can only be discovered with a deep medical inspection or Effect. Removal inflicts a Severity 1 Injury on the target.
You are aware of the marked target's direction and distance from you. This lasts for the next month, or until either the mark is removed, or you choose to end the Effect. You can have up to 1 mark active.
You receive +2 dice to any rolls made against a marked target.
