Expend a point of Battery and spend an Action. Roll Brawn + Alertness at Difficulty 6.
If you succeed, you create a barrier around yourself, which absorbs the next Outcome + 2 Damage. The Damage reduction from the barrier is applied before Armor. This Artifact may only have 1 active barrier at a time.
The barrier will fall after two hours, or if it absorbs the full amount of Damage. When a barrier falls, you cannot use this Effect again for a minimum of 2 Rounds.
Anyone who touches this Artifact will notice it warping their body and may drop it. If they choose to hold or use it, they immediately receive the following Battle Scar: chronic pain. If they lose possession of this Artifact, the Battle Scar heals over the course of the next day.
The pages of the journal transform into the desired identification. A passport is the most obvious 1:1 illusion, but an official government ID and badge that flips open is also possible. Other forms of ID such as driver's license, insurance ID cards, gym memberships, etc. appear as their appropriate cards encased in a laminate sheet on each page of the journal. It is impossible to remove these IDs (as their an illusion), but this inability always seems to be an inability of the user to find the laminate seam. (If necessary there will be some modification to the laminate, allowing a magnetic strip on the ID card to be scanned.)
This Artifact can change its appearance. When not transformed, it is roughly the same size as a pocket journal and just as difficult to conceal.
Spend a Quick Action to activate. This Artifact changes its appearance into an Object within the category of identification. This lasts until you decide to end the Effect, which may be done as a Free Action.
The new object's appearance can mimic specific items (such as a particular painting, a certain person’s ID, etc), but must be of a similar size and weight to this Artifact.
The new appearance is illusory; it will hold up to scrutiny, but its composition is not altered and it gains no new functionality. Any attempt to use it for a function which it cannot perform (for instance, making bread look like a knife and then trying to stab someone) will cause the illusion to fail or allow a Perception check to see through the illusion, at the GM's discretion.
When used as identification and scanned, the scanner will act appropriately and bring up appropriate generic information. Further searches for the identity in the computer will turn up no results.
The glass tube with the bulb in the end seems caked with blackish blue resin and tar, but no drug material is needed neccesarily. Applying flame and taking a deep hit, instantly explodes the user's consciousness to encompass the range of the effect. They are one with the energy in all things briefly, before it abruptly collapses back again like a bubble popping, leaving them drooling and euphoric.
As the user's senses come back around, they are able to walk and speak within moments, and more or less ignore the related hallucinations that continue for quite a while afterwards (stumbling around and distracted as if exhausted).
The information overload takes time to sort through, but comes as an 'aha! It all makes sense now!' moment at the end of the casting time.
Exert your Mind and spend a half hour. Investigate an area with a radius of up to 500 feet You must make a Trauma roll when you use this Effect. Its Difficulty cannot be reduced by any means. At the end of your investigation, roll Perception + Culture at Difficulty 6.
You learn the following information about the area:
After you finish activating this Effect, you cannot move quicker than a walk (max 15 feet per Round) for one minute and suffer a -1 dice penalty for an hour. Exhaustion’s penalty and duration stacks with multiple activations.
You cannot investigate the same area more than once per day.
When the user is injured or mentally drained, the pictographic representations of flames running through beating hearts glow like a gentle flame.
The Stubborn Flame calls upon the spark of life that everything shares. Stoking it to a roaring flame that stands in defiance of the the mortal shell's injuries, helping the user compensate for even the most gruesome of wounds and light the way through the thickest of mental fogs.

You place a ward,. You can perceive with all your senses through the ward as though you were standing at its location. Your wards last 3 hours. This Artifact may have at most 3 wards active at once.
The ward requires Concentration to monitor, though it will remain active until you deactivate it. The ward can be discovered if someone knows what they are looking for, but is otherwise inconspicuous and cannot be identified as a ward.
You may destroy the Ward to activate one Investigate Individual, >Object, or Area Effect as though you were standing at its location.
You may declare a condition to watch for on an active Ward. If it occurs, you may roll Perception + Alertness, Difficulty 6, to notice it, even if you are not actively monitoring that ward.
Whenever something crosses into the observational range of the Ward, you and those you've allowed to tune in are alerted by ring tone of choice.
Your Ward records all activity it observes, regardless of whether or not you are actively monitoring it. This recording can be played back and referenced later.
You may communicate through your ward, though doing so will reveal its presence.
a rune-carved stone is worn on a necklace around the Dragon Slayers neck, allowing them to create a defensive layer of glowing multi-coloured light around themselves, warding off attacks and reducing the damage the Dragon Slayer receives. The Dragon Slayer can focus on their Ward Stone in order to amplify the effect, at the cost of a further supply of Mana.
Edit: After further refinement, the Ward stone now provides a constant level of protection, though it can still be amplified by channelling more mana into it, causing a glow of Octarine light.
