You gain the following benefits as long as you have your eyes, which glint a slight pink when she uses this effect.

Your Charisma rating is increased by 1. You may Exert your Mind to automatically gain an Outcome of 5 on any roll that uses Charisma (Cannot be used on combat rolls or Power activations).

Possession of this Power grants the following Trauma at all times: Anti-Social - You struggle with engaging in social situations. (In order to attempt to get someone's attention or to speak to someone you have known for less than an hour, you must succeed a Self-Control roll. If you become the center of attention in a large group, you must succeed another Self-Control roll or Exert your Mind to avoid fleeing or shutting down).

If you are witnessed actively using this Effect, whoever sees it can make a Perception + Alertness roll at Difficulty 6. A complete success reveals the source of your power.

You also gain the following effects:

  • Honest Eyes: Your word is accepted as honest so long as you are speaking the truth as you understand it. You can always tell if someone telling a lie without making a roll, though you may not know what they are concealing
  • Me, an Empath: You have an intuitive understanding of the emotional state of any Animate being within 30 feet. Once per person per day you may roll Charisma + Influence to learn what things they respect or disrespect in others.

  • On its own, your empath abilities do not allow you to detect lies.
  • If your eyes, which glint a slight pink when she uses this effect is damaged, destroyed, or lost, you lose all benefits from this Effect for the next two months.
  • Attribute bonuses from multiple sources do not stack. Instead the highest bonus is used.

  • Hey, Listen!: You cannot be ignored or unheard when directly addressing an entity.
  • Me, an Empath: You have an intuitive understanding of the emotional state of any Animate being within 30 feet. Once per person per day you may roll Charisma + Influence to learn what things they respect or disrespect in others.
  • Poker Face: You reveal only what you want to reveal. It is impossible to determine whether or not you are lying. You may roll Charisma + Performance to resist any investigative Effect that targets you. If you successfully resist, you determine the info they get.
  • The Price Of Fame: Any sightings or recordings of your activity can easily be traced back to you. Even when disguised or using an alias, people always get a Perception check to recognize you.

  • On its own, your empath abilities do not allow you to detect lies.
  • In rare cases, GMs may require you to make a roll to lie to particularly powerful beings.
  • If your Glimmering Red eyes is damaged, destroyed, or lost, you lose all benefits from this Effect for the next two months.

  • Come Again?: Whenever you say something or present yourself in a way that upsets someone, you may Exert your Mind. If you do so you may change what you said or how you present yourself, and the first attempt will be dismissed and forgotten.
  • Exploit: Any non-Effect influence roll against a target is made at -1 Difficulty for each Trauma of theirs that you know about. Effect rolls are capped at -1 Difficulty.
  • No Choice But To Stan: If someone speaks or acts against you socially, anyone observing it must roll Mind, with the difficulty equal to your Charisma, in order to not defend you.

  • Being forced to Stan will not force someone to violate any of their Limits or to engage in violence of any kind (though they may still do so of their own volition).
