Stinky Pete has undergone a dramatic transformation into a Monkeyish Humanoid. His body is now covered in a layer of coarse fur, varying in shades of brown and gray. His face has taken on distinctly simian features, including a flatter nose, pronounced brow ridges, and a wide, expressive mouth. Pete’s eyes are larger and more alert, giving him an air of curiosity and mischief.
His limbs are longer and more muscular, particularly his arms, which end in strong, dexterous hands that, despite their strength, are limited to crude, clumsy grips. His legs are equally powerful, adapted for quick and agile movement, with feet that resemble those of a monkey, capable of grasping and aiding in climbing.
Pete’s overall physique is robust and compact, built for endurance and speed. His transformation makes him appear more agile and formidable, embodying the physical prowess and nimbleness of a monkey. However, his altered form makes it impossible for him to be mistaken for a normal human, and he stands out in any crowd due to his unique appearance.
In mountainous areas, Pete moves with unmatched ease, seemingly unaffected by the harsh conditions that would challenge most others. His fur provides some insulation against the elements, and his natural adaptability makes him at home in rugged terrain.
Pete’s clothing and equipment are often makeshift and adapted to his new form. Standard human clothes and gear fit poorly, if at all, and he frequently has to modify or craft his own solutions to meet his needs. Despite these challenges, Pete’s new form grants him a distinct advantage in mobility and physical resilience, making him a formidable presence wherever he goes.

Haley's form immediately morphs into the body of Fergus, a towering saurian biped. Fergus is an absolute unit with his own anatomical arsenal. Most people will be disturbed or grossed out at Fergus' might.
Haley even when in the form of Fergus still possesses his memory and consciousness. He is aware he is Fergus at that moment. Fergus is just his beast's title.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action.
You transform into Fergus for 3 minutes. You have access to all of your Powers while you are Fergus, and you can use your equipment. Your Battle Scars, Injuries, and physical Liabilities are carried over between forms. Reverting from your Alternate Form cannot cause your existing Injuries to kill you. Instead, you remain Incapacitated.
While transformed, your Brawn is increased by 1. You do not suffer any Stress while transformed.
Your body is adapted to Athletics. You receive +3 dice on non-attack rolls related to Athletics.
Your alternate form is its own deadly weapon. Unarmed attacks made in your alternate form deal +3 Weapon Damage (instead of the typical -1).
Anyone who witnesses you during this Effect's activation or for its duration will almost certainly be disturbed to see Fergus' monstrous demeanor.
The detective looks briefly to the corpse, taking in the finer details of the scene as he removes a folder from his bag. Over the course of a minute or two, the papers within begin to fill with various details about the perp. Most pressingly: their full legal name and a number of photos detailing their current appearance.
Exert your Mind and spend a minute. Select a target Object within 25 feet. You must actively and obviously use a manila folder to activate this Effect. At the end of your investigation, roll Perception + Investigation at Difficulty 6.
You learn all the following information about your target:
You cannot investigate the same target more than once per day.
The Gap Between Worlds spills out into reality through Arthur, and now it spills into his body, filling in his wounds and repairing them.
You gain the following benefits at all times.
Any Injury you receive heals quickly, reducing its Severity by one level every three days, starting once it becomes stabilized. Battle Scars caused by your Injuries will remain.
The body is not a finished product—it is a blueprint, a rough sketch waiting for revision. Through his meticulous craftsmanship, flesh and bone become something smarter, sharper, superior. Using his custom-engineered implants, he rewrites human limitations, embedding precision-crafted machinery into the bodies of those willing—and sometimes unwilling—to evolve.
Each augmentation is a masterwork, uniquely tailored to the individual, as personal as ink, as permanent as scar tissue. Zero does not deal in mass-produced cyberware—his creations are bespoke, each one bearing his signature: a discreet Ø alongside the Chinese ideograms for "Zero". They are more than mere modifications; they are a statement, a legacy, a brand.
On others, Zero's work is expression, a philosophical act—he is not just installing hardware, he is shaping identity. But on himself? His augments are calculated, tactical, a means to an end. Power is not an abstract idea—it is built, installed, and wired beneath the skin.
And Zero? He is both architect and test subject, engineer and experiment, creator and creation.
Exert your Mind and spend 30 minutes. Select a Living target within arm's reach. Your target must make a Trauma roll to reap the benefits of this Effect. They may choose to Resist the Effect and not make the roll. The target can easily Resist.
You may add one augmentation to your target. Each augmentation counts as a Trauma and can have exactly one of the following Effects:
The augmentations you provide are not outwardly visible nor obvious.
The graceful worm eats many things.
They eat your bones to soil.
They eat the soil, turning to life.
And they may be persuaded to eat your death. It will hurt. It will swell. It will heal.
Exert your Mind and spend 1 minute to activate. Choose a specific Injury on yourself that has not yet been treated with this Effect and roll Brawn + Survival at Difficulty 6.
If you succeed, the Injury is reduced in Severity by your Outcome. If you reduce its Severity to 0, the Injury is fully healed. Otherwise, it is partially healed and will heal the rest of the way at its natural rate.
This counts as a successful Makeshift Stabilization if the Injury was not already Stabilized; any Battle Scars caused by the Injury will remain.
Anyone who witnesses you during this Effect's activation or for its duration will almost certainly be disturbed to see affected injuries swelling, writhing with black veins, and bursting into pus.
The mobster presents a reasoned, logical case to the target: there's a lot of dangerous folks out there, and only they can offer safety... for a price.
If they agree, they will pay the mobster a monthly fee for protection. If they stop making their payments... well, let's just say, the mobster can't be held responsible for any unsavory types that might pay them a visit.
This Effect cannot be used unless you are making a deal to exchange money for protection.
You may make an oath with a physically-present, Sapient target. Communicate the oath's terms to the target, including the requirements and penalties for each participant. If all agree to the terms, you must Exert your Mind and all participants must shake hands to seal the deal.
Record the oath as a Condition. If a party breaks the oath, the Condition ends and they suffer the oath's penalty.
When crafting your oath, you may incorporate any of the following penalties:
The target cannot be compelled to agree via a direct threat of violence, another Effect, or another oath. If you would like to use clever wording to mislead the target, you must succeed a contested Intellect + (Culture or Influence) roll.
The priest channels their true faith into a brutal assault on the consciousness of demonic or unholy creatures. By wielding their favored holy symbol, a gilded crucifix, they can put a proper fear of god into them, leaving them cowering at any truly holy things they encounter.
Exert your Mind (unless you have been recently attacked by your target) and spend an Action. Select a Sapient target within 20 feet. This Effect cannot be used unless the target is undead, demonic, or another evil creature. You must actively and obviously use a gilded cross to activate this Effect. Roll Brawn + Alertness Difficulty 6. Affected targets may resist by rolling Mind at Difficulty 7. If they are incapacitated or unconscious, they fail automatically.
If the Contested Outcome is positive, the target loses that much Source. Once their Source is depleted, excess Outcome is applied as Mind Damage. If you deal at least 3 Mind damage, the target gains a Trauma of the GM's choice.
This trauma cannot be removed by spending Experience and undergoing mundane therapy. Affected targets are aware that they are being attacked and can generally tell who did it.
The detective has trained their eyes to notice the smallest of details.
You gain the following benefits at all times.
Your senses are enhanced in the following way.
The detective squints, drawing on years of police experience to find any hidden drugs, weapons, or other illegal objects, no matter how well-hidden.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action.
You automatically detect all illegal materials within 50 feet of you for the next hour. You have a clear sense of both the distance and direction towards any detected items. You do not learn any details about the detected items.
You never know whether or not the musician's death is merely part of the performance.
You gain the following benefits at all times.
If you would take an Injury that would kill you, you don’t die. Instead, you survive in an Incapacitated state. This state lasts for the next hour, at which point you fully return to life. Unstabilized Injuries do not degrade while you are Incapacitated
If, while you are unconscious, your wound level rises above your rating in Body + Charisma, or if you take an Injury with Severity greater than your rating in Charisma, you die. After you return, the Injury that would have killed you, as well as any Injuries sustained while Incapacitated, are healed. Battle scars obtained during this time remain.
